We've been remiss commenting before as we just take it as a given that their meat and service is above all others. However, just went up north with 2 lbs of beef sticks and 1.5 lbs of beef tenderloin. Oh My goodness the tenderloin on the grill was out of this world. Thank you for just another day at Grundhofers.

Heard about this place on the Garage Logic Podcast and just had to stop. We just flew back from LA into Minneapolis. It was only 30 minutes away from the airport and I had the time..... It was every bit as described. Helpful staff, over 100 brat flavors, gourmet hamburger's and more beef sticks than you could shake the teriyaki beef sticks I bought at. I'm already planning my next meat run.

Have been here before and all the items purchased were good. Looking for liverwurst again this time. Nicely seasoned. They were out. So one each of every meat stick to share at a get together while beer sampling. Didn’t like every single flavor but very good quality altogether.

The place has a great variety of meats, especially their 100+ brat options. The only downside I saw was that all the brat varieties were prepackaged and frozen. If you wanted to try 1 type of brat, you'd have to buy a pack of 6. If they had fresh, single brats available to build my own sampler, I would've given this place 6 stars if I could.

First heard about this place on the Garage Logic podcast. I live in Northern MN but found myself in the Twin Cities a couple of months ago so I figured I’d stop in. Ended up spending a fortune in there and everything I purchased was excellent! I have many relatives in the TC and whenever one of them is coming north to visit I make to tell them to stop in and pick me up a few meatloafs and some sausages!

The finest butcher in the twin cities area. I’m amazed by the quality and experimentation that this establishment demonstrates. A full expression of our region’s meat innovation and creativity. That being said not the place for traditional and older European styles. Nothing wrong with that.

This was my first trip to Grundhofer's after my friend recommended I check them out. They have a friendly and knowledgeable staff. Incredible selection of Bratwurst in just about any flavor you can dream up. I highly recommend it. I'll be going back soon.

They have very good steaks. I have purchased some of their frozen foots like sloppy joes and frozen pasties. They weren't that good. I also bought some gummy bears. There's no taste to them. So if you're going for the steaks, great place. Frozen stuff -- maybe not.

I stop in about once a month to get a variety of beef jerky. They have a wonderful selection. The bloody mary beef jerky used to be my favorite until I tried the sweet N heat beef jerky...it's amazing! I like that I'm supporting a small local business. The staff is always helpful. The store is kept clean. The location is easy to get to. Grundhofer's is the best!!!

This past weekend I had many friends for a weekend of enjoying the lake and golf course, I purchased an assortment of brats for the group and the top three favorites were: Blueberry Cheddar Rootbeer Float, who knew that was a thing?? Maple was a huge hit for the cast-iron egg bake!! They all have your address and they are all now fans and customers every time they travel to my cabin!!

OMG!!! This place is more amazing than you could imagine! Staff was super helpful, fun and the assortment of meats are outstanding. Prepare your pocketbook, because you'll want one of everything! This trip was filled with beef jerky, meatloaf, 3 different brats, pork butt steaks, cheese curds, pickles, and a doggie bone. Thank you, it's all delicious!

I love getting their jerky and beef sticks. Their turkey jerky is one of my favorites. Little on the pricier side but the quality is well worth the expense and not beyond what you see in commercial stores. Better value for your money.

Incredible mom & pop shop of brats, other meats, miscellaneous. Their brats are of excellent quality & taste. Go here every summer - across the Twin Cities - to get brats. Their potato salad is awesome - I can't stand most store bought potato salad. And the people are great. It is really tiny so you'd want brats or basic meat products to go - but seriously, the flavors they offer and the quality of the brats makes it worthwhile. We've tried 12 different flavors this summer - amazed at the flavor.

Keep hearing about how good the brats are on GL. Tried the Chipotle, Pineapple and Jalapeño and the Jamacian. Man they were all outstanding. It went well with a cold New Glaurus and some good old Macaroni Salad. Next time its the gummy bear brat.

I kinda wish wish could give 6 stars. I have yet to get something from Grundhofer's that I don't like. They also have very friendly & helpful staff. My husband's go to is the regular beef jerkey. I like the broccoli & cheddar, and cranberry & wild rice beef sticks. I will also forever buy herring cutlets there. You get a full container of cutlets and not a container of mostly onions with some cutlets like at larger chain stores.

Would give 6 stars if Google allowed it. Awesome selection of brats, unlike any other brats around. The owner was incredibly nice and let us see his cooler with all the beef hanging. He explained they source their animals locally amd you can tell he and the rest of the staff care deeply about what they do. It's a good thing this place is a bit of a drive from me, otherwise I could quickly spend too much here haha.

Very good , service is top notch . The largest Brat selection , from from gummy bears to wild rice ,they have ground beef ,chicken and everything you need for that outdoor grilling . They also have the best cold pickels and beef sticks ,turkey sticks as well as cheese and prepared salads .large selection of high end mests with roast and marinated chicken that they do on site . The market is very clean and well presented , a large parking lot and door that would handle a wheelchair . Covid-19 rules apply look for the electronic sign , easy to miss new construction across the street . Hugo not far from them .

Great brats with an amazing selection of flavors. More than 100 including my favorite mango habanero brats. They also process venison or other wild game and have relationships with local beef and pork providers and can sell whole cow or pig with amazing quality.

Friendly neighborhood meat market, very good meat. I called after closing time trying to get something to grill for dinner, they stayed open until I got there. I picked up steaks and marinated chicken breasts, both very good and fairly priced.

Great meat shop. Some of the best beef jerky I have ever tried, the sweet n heat is excellent and I highly recommend. The fresh hamburger prices and very comparable to the chain grocery stores but the quality is top notch.

Best brats in Minnesota! Try the gummy bear ones, sounds weird but tastes amazing. Nothing can replicate the biggest of sweetness and pork flavor every time you take a bite. Also try their cheese curd brats if they're in stock, you'll never have a better cheese-filled sausage.

If you love Brats this is the place for you! Over 100 different to choose from and they are known for the gummy bear brat! Our favorite is the philly cheesesteak brat. Cool little meat store in a country setting. We will be back again soon!

Gummy Bear Brats. Really. The Bears melt during cooking to add a nice sweet contrast to the meat. And usually leave a fun confetti color scheme in the brat. But if that is not what you want, they have over 100 other brat flavor options and are always well stocked with frozen sausages. Other meat supplies can be sparse, particularly if you come in late on Friday or warm weekend. Be sure to plan your cooking early and get great tasting cuts.

Its amazing they have fun and cool and regular brats and meat like gummy bear brats and sometimes if u have a little one who isnt behaving sometimes they ask if they want a balloon we just left and we go there every weekend and today my little brother who is 2 was wanting to like climb into the freezers and a worker asked if he wanted a ballon and he behaved the rest of the time there
