I'm new to Vermont and someone told me that this place had the best cheese steaks. To be honest it was just ok to me. The meat was overcooked, cheese was like plastic and I ordered peppers on it and I think I received 1 slice. The fries were ok while they were hot. The onion rings were the best of thing I had from there. The cashier was nice. 6/10

Great professional staff! Family owned local business, that actually cares about their customers! And the deli is open till 8pm even on Sundays? What are you still waiting for go get a locally known famous grinder!

Great place to eat from but they no longer take EBT which is unfortunate but the foods so good here along with the customer service.

Best sub in Winooski, hands down. Enormous and delicious. The folks behind the counter are fantastic. The selection of groceries is somewhat lacking, but enough to get by for sure. Oh, and creemees! Corner location with large sign is easy to find. Street parking. Empanada specials! A great neighborhood corner store and deli.

i went to chick's market once before with my friend romain and i ordered a sub sandwich from there and i was like wow couldnt belive how big they were but thats ok i love big portions of food like that anyways like just a good pick me up for lunch snack or anything else they're really good id go there again too.

Best sub I’ve had anywhere!!! We come to Burlington often and this was first time ordering. Amazing and well worth the money. If your not a big eater only order 1/2 sub!!

NO WORDS. I came to this place for a sub after a 4 hour drive to Burlington. I’ll be honest, the curb appeal isn’t great, but this place is a total FIND. Not only is the prepared food delicious, but the portions are HUGE, and the prices are a steal. I love this place and my sandwich was the size of two lunches!!! Must eat sandwich shop in Winooski/ Burlington area

Chick's Market is one of my favorite stores in all of Vermont. The owner, Pam, is local and works there almost every day. She and her staff have always been very kind and a joy to talk to. The food is great, the selection of snacks and groceries are way more than one would expect for a store of it's size, but it still doesn't feel crowded. I cannot recommend this place enough

I've been getting food from their deli for years now... they are open till 9 and take orders till 830pm... they do an amazing job and for how busy they are... they get your food to you in a timely manner... only reason I gave 4 stars really isn't there fault... but there isn't much parking... but even with that I still go

This is absolutely hands-down Winooski's hidden gem for "grinders" a.k.a. sub sandwiches. My fiance and I LOVE their large Turkey Bacon sub. Pam, the proprietor, is the neighborhood matriarch and the staff that work there are oh so friendly. Go here for a great steak sandwich!

Love this place... Pam Erica and Diane are the bones that hold the place together...all hard workers and make me feel at home every time I visit...the food is the GREATEST Around...BLTS probably have a pound of bacon on one sandwich..All of the subs are great and huge..

The sandwiches are huge, and we'll with the price. You will be satisfied eating 1/4 of the sandwiches and stuffed if you managed through half of one. The ladies that work there are very friendly and personable. I can't wait to try the burgers. Apparently they are 1/2 pound of in store mixed all beef.

Awesome sandwiches but not much else. The people there are very nice and friendly, but they're not gonna break any speed records. Plan on being there a while. All in all though, if you're looking for a giant, high quality sandwich at extremely reasonable prices, check out Chicks.

The absolute best subs made anywhere! Extremely generous amount of meat, cheese, vegetables and garnish on every sandwich, made with experience and care, in the friendliest of atmospheres!!! They also offer a wide variety of other choices on their menu including pizza, wings, calzones, burgers, and breakfast sandwiches! My favorite breakfast, lunch and evening stop...great place any time of day!

The girls who work at Chicks are awesome, they're personable, friendly, very likeable and if they're workload isn't non-stop I enjoy talkin and laughin with them. Subs are always great! They're jam packed, could share with up to 3 others or enjoy for a couple different meals. I moved to VT from Cape Cod Ma. 3yrs ago and somone took me here my 1st yr. I will only go to Chicks when I'm in the mood for a sub! If you haven't been there, definitely check them out!

This store is above and beyond the deli experience I have ever had. I've been going to this store for the past 30 years. Owners have changed hands, however, the service has always been the same. I have traveled 25 miles to go to this store. So worth it. My primary reason is for the subs. Once you try one of these sandwiches, Subway will be in the rearview mirror.
