Lovely bookstore only a couple minute walk from the Scarsdale Metro-North train station. The staff greeted me within seconds of walking in and later asked if I needed help finding anything - a.k.a. good customer service. They pack quite a few books in their inventory, and the appeal of the store is strong enough that I was disappointed to leave.

An amazing bookstore in the heart of Scarsdale! The location is great; the train is very close and there are lots of parking spaces right in front of the store. The book selection itself (also combined wth the price) is purely amazing, there are many different categories (news, biographies, fiction, kids, school, classics e.g.), the owners, Jesse and Marc are such nice and kind people, they help you with any questions and are very friendly, I enjoyed every second here and highly recommend it to anyone else!

Amazing experience with Bronx River Books! I ordered a few books from them during quarantine and the customer service has been outstanding! They have a great selection, the website is clear and easy to use, and they quickly follow up with an email. They even hand delivered a book to my front porch less than 24 hours after I placed my order. I will continue to shop with them and support this wonderful local business!

A wonderful addition to downtown Scarsdale! The owners are friendly, extremely helpful and they have a fabulous selection of adult AND children’s books! It is so nice to see books other than what you’d find in Barnes & Noble highlighted throughout the store! So glad they opened here!!

During the pandemic, my best friend's birthday was coming up. He loves Hamilton so I ordered the book off their website as they were still taking orders and sending them via ground mail to keep their business going. I put in the "special instructions" section that if it was possible, could a gift receipt be included since it was a birthday gift, and that I was just sad that I couldn't wrap the book myself and give it to him personally. Obviously, if these things were not possible, I completely understood. The sent back a personalized email stating that my book was in the store, that they wrapped it and were sending it out with UPS the next day and should be there within a couple days, along with a card saying it was a gift from me. They were sorry that they didn't have a gift receipt, but if he wanted to return it, he could bring the book in when the store reopened with the bookmark they sent the book with. They then thanked me for my support of independent stores, and signed their names. It was such a sweet letter I almost cried.

I have visited multiple times since they've opened and always found something I had to take home. They are kid-friendly and have nice areas to sit while you browse a book. The bookstore doggie is definitely a draw for my family. The selection is limited by the size of the store, but makes up for it with thoughtful curation. And of course they accept special orders if they don't have what you are looking for.

Over the last two months (or more, who’s counting) of quarantine, the team at Bronx River Books has *hand delivered* books to me in New Rochelle. They are so communicative via email, and their kindness and speed are unprecedented. I ordered a book this morning, and it was hand delivered the same day. Had the book taken a month to arrive, I would have understood! But it arrived on the same day?! And hand delivered?!?! The team at Bronx River Books are knights in shining armor, conquering boredom with books. Bronx River Books demonstrates exactly why independent bookstores are so special. Even before social-distancing, the atmosphere in store was always cozy and inviting, and their team is knowledgeable and hospitable. I have had a few friends in the NYC/Westchester area ask me where they can buy books from right now, and I leap at the chance to send them to Bronx River Books’ website. The Bronx River Books team has sent me everything from books they already have in store to books that require ordering from publisher warehouses. They are my quarantine MVPs. If you’re bored and looking at google maps for fun (not that I would know anything about that), please consider this my enthusiastic recommendation to shop at Bronx River Books. If it helps, I encourage you to imagine me screaming this google review into a megaphone. Thank you, Bronx River Books.

I'm from out of town but I make sure to go to BRB every year when I visit my family during Christmas time. The owners are incredibly nice and helpful and the selection of books and book-related merchandise is great. I highly recommend that people check out this store!
