I have been using All Bilingual Press books with my two small Spanish classes for homeschoolers for the last couple of years. They have worked very well for us. The students enjoy the illustrations and use of the CD's along with learning language skills. I like that it is easy to teach from. My higher level students are looking forward to moving to the next level with the Rosa and Ernesto books.
I look forward to seeing new products from All Bilingual Press.

I originally found out about All Bilingual Press from a friend who used the curriculum in a homeschooling class she taught. Because the advanced Spanish class at my daughter's middle school was such a disruptive and disorganized class, I was looking for materials she could follow on her own at home. The Los viajes de Rosa y Ernesto book and accompanying cd turned out to be fantastic -- interesting enough for her to be willing to read on top of her other activities but still a well-ordered teaching tool through Spanish grammar and vocabulary. I actually succeeded in getting our middle school to purchase the curriculum, and with it this year's Spanish class has been light-years better those of previous years. Highly recommend.

I specialized in Spanish at university, and desperately wanted to pass my love of the language onto my children. I sampled many different resources to guide me in teaching them, and fell in love with the materials from All Bilingual Press. They are age appropriate, clear, concise and incorporate all aspects of learning a second language- writing, listening and speaking- in a way that makes learning interesting and natural. I will continue to use all of their available materials as my children advance and develop their Spanish skills.

My program has been using All Bilingual Press materials for upper elementary - middle school aged students for a few years. My staff enjoy using these materials because it keeps our students engaged and motivated. The student workbook is also well made and is an excellent tool to reinforce lessons provided in the textbook. We are very satisfied with these materials and plan to continue using them.

I purchased materials for my 2nd grade child. My daughter enjoys completing the exercises, which are well written and applicable. The CD paired with exercises is also very good. I would recommend this for anyone with a child either motivated to advance Spanish language skills or in need of additional practice.

We used All Bilingual Press last year for our daughter. We are serving as Missionaries in Peru and wanted something in our home school program to help her learn Spanish. She did very well with the program (she took level one) and is talking a fair bit of Spanish already. We are going to order the next course so she can continue on. Thanks for a great program!!! My daughter had to get the materials for her Spanish class. After it arrived and she had the book and the audio, we were amazed at how the lessons were for her. She will be taking Conversation Spanish in the Fall and the lessons really helped her. I plan to get a set (early) for my son to start taking Spanish. It is so important to "hear" the correct pronunciation of the words and these books are spot on.!

I have been very happy with All Bilingual press. I used the materials to teach my daughter Spanish as there were limited opportunities at her elementary school. Only request I have is to include more Spanish kids games and or songs to keep some of the "drier" material more fun for younger kids

My kids and I have used Espanol para los chiquitos and are currently working through Espanol para chicos y grandes. I've been very impressed with the materials we've used from All Bilingual Press. It is the best Spanish curriculum (other than moving to a Spanish-speaking country) I have found for homeschooling. I like all the audio of native speakers that the kids get to hear. I studied Spanish throughout middle, high school, and college and have my Master's in Linguistics. I would love to see All Bilingual come out with some more cultural curriculum related to Spanish-speaking countries to supplement the language learning.

All Bilingual Press was founded in 2005 by a family of language teachers and native speakers of the Spanish language whose goal is to make Spanish teaching and learning fun for all concerned: teachers, parents and children. They do an excellent job of materials that make learning Spanish easy and fun.

I highly recommend this curriculum. I used it with my family and now all our homeschool co-op is using it! It's complete, fun, thorough and very interactive. The teacher's manual provides amazing resources and help for teaching; great to teach in a classroom setting or individually.

I recently purchased materials to use with my 10 year old son. I speak Spanish to him at home, but he usually replies in English and I wanted him to improve his literacy and comprehension. I'm very impressed with the content of both the work book and text book. The website was easy to use when ordering and the materials arrived quickly. As I looked through them I realized they met and even exceeded my expectations.

Rita Wirkala's new YA novel, The Encounter.
As an American children's author living in both the U.S.
and Guatemala, I can't recommend highly enough The Encounter.
This YA novel is suspenseful, engrossing and reveals lives that US teenagers should know about to understand the worlds of Central and South America. It would be an outstanding choice for junior high and high school classes in Social Studies and English.
The Encounter concerns two characters, one traveling south, one traveling north, moving through many hazards to worlds unknown to them. Ernesto, 18, doesn't know his own story and yearns to know his past and his biological family. He was adopted as baby by well-to-do parents in San Diego, California, but there are no records they or he can find beyond a hurried note in Spanish that his probably Mexican mother left with him outside an orphanage. The note has a surname and the name Ezperanza (Hope). Ernesto supposes this is the name of the city his biological family is from and that he'll be able to find his people heading south of the border visiting towns named "Esperanza." It turns out there are many such Esperanzas" but none lead him to his birth family.
After many adventures, some dangerous, Ernesto arrives at "The Encounter," a meeting with a Rosa, a 13-year-old Shuar indigenous girl on a far more dangerous journey.
Their meeting will change both their lives.
Because a major oil company in Ecuador polluted Shuar lands and the river they depend on for fish, Rosa's family and friends and neighbors are living in a very hard time. To help the family survive, her mother has gone undocumented to the US to work in fruit orchards. When her mother phones to say that she's seriously ill in Oregon, Rosa determines to travel all the way there to be with her.
Drawing on her extensive interviews with people who have made these harrowing journeys, Wirkala has written a novel where adventure and dangers are present in every chapter. Young readers won't want to put it down. Whatever one's opinion of US immigration policy and the legality of people like Rosa's mother and Rosa making visa-less trip to the USA, millions of such people are living here now, doing essential jobs that most Americans don't want and often don't have the strength of stamina to do. Statistics show that US crime rates are lower, not higher, in areas where undocumented immigrants live. The role of the US and international corporations, like oil and mining companies, in making life unsustainable for poor indigenous people in their home countries is something we all need to think about. These newcomers are 11 million now and making mostly positive contributions to our country. Whatever policies we enact should be based on understanding and knowing the realities of their lives. Ignorance, fear, hatred and zenophobia stunt humanness and enjoyment of life for all of us. Besides being interesting, exciting and well written, The Encounter is a book that can break down walls.

I have enjoyed the book "Los viajes de Rosa y Ernesto." The parts I liked the best about it was the vocabulary preview and that it was an audio book so I was able to utilize multiple senses as I read.
