The bookstore is huge & loved the enormous amount of books, toys, puzzles & other super fun items you dont always see in a regular place! We were there for hours! Will I go again? Probably not. If I was rating the roads into & out would be 1 star! Parking lot also! What a freaking mess! Approached by 2 homeless people for painkillers & then money. Others getting into arguments over parking. But if you don't mind the traffic nightmare & all...... yes, go!

Excellent store. Service is top notch. There are discounts and deals every so often. The location is perfect and parking is ample. The store is generally organized. They are doing a complete overhaul of part of the bottom floor. I am sure it will be appealing. The options are plentiful. There is a Starbucks. I highly recommend.

I absolutely love it 😍❤️! It's a 2 floor store; with an escalator in the store. They had so many manga selection which I love! The people were super nice there and like to make conversations which took me by surprise how open they were to meet and talk about common books with others. I also like how they wrote details notes and opinions on books to try to read. It was nice to see notes posted to give you an idea of what books you are specifically looking for or exploring to read. I wish more Barnes & Nobles locations had employees like that within the store to post cute notes in front of books selection. They also had an in store Starbucks, but unfortunately I didn't see a Nook station.

Good selection and space. They also helped me to refund a ripped book today and were kind enough even thought I was holding the line (still sorry for that lol). I just hope they had a way to assure the quality of shrink wrapped books before buying them.

Although I love browsing a very large bookstore like Barnes and Noble, I can’t help but to look back to when we owned a small bookstore. We had about 12,000 titles. We watched as bookstores would open with 120,000 titles. We felt so helpless. As I walked through the Barnes and Noble bookstore today I imagined They might be feeling some of that helplessness I felt trying to compete with someone that is so big they are indeed competing with someone so big.

Went in 15 minutes before closing in dress clothes since we were traveling through and barely got done with helping friends with an emergency. Got a nasty scowl ...aimed at our attire by a female employee that seemed to have keys as we entered. My son asked for a C.S. Lewis book compilation, but I didn't remember which set it was. The scowling lady spoke up to tell me C.S. Lewis had to be located in religion because he had religious writings. Turns out she was not correct about that, but she did guess correctly which set the book was and helped find it by directing another employee to it (not located in religion).

I come here for the bargain books mostly, I do like getting children's books from here too. On a regular day it's nice to shop here and ordering online to have it for pick up is great! Now, arou d Christmas time this place is just magical! If I could do ALL of my shopping here I would but alas it is a bit pricey

Pleasant atmosphere and great selection of books. Only knock is the mark ups and that there will be lower prices listed on their site that they'll match only if you ask them. It's kind of bizarre if you ask me. They won't match other retailers'prices either which is a bummer. You can pick up and read any book in store so that's nice.

I love how this Barnes and Noble has 2 stories. My girlfriend and I visited this Barnes and Noble because she loves Barnes and Noble. I honestly thought it was just a book store, but it is so much more! I love Barnes and Noble now and I've visited 3 others in the valley since then. :)

It's nice, I haven't been here in a while a real bookstore like this. I had a cup of coffee and read a bit. I would have given 5 stars but they didn't have any "easy"hairs, just the upright chairs at the tables around Starbucks.

The language section is a bit small, the manga section very large. A nice Barnes and Noble. The planner I bought was the same price as Amazon so that made me happy

Excellent selection. Helpful, friendly staff. Could use a SERIOUS cleaning. The restrooms are awful and they're big clumps of dust on every light I could see. With all of the extendable handle dusters available for sale, there definitely isn't any reason for lack of cleaning. Would love to give 5 stars as I love Barnes and Noble.

This place hath brought nothing but disappointment. The actual bookstore has some merit, as it provides a good place to buy board games, however the coffee shop has left me feeling empty. The void that I experience every time I take a sip of this "cinnamon latte" is only comparable to the feeling of being betrayed by thou most beloved. I would imagine thou art found this drink on the 9th level of hell, being concocted by Satin himself and being taste tested by Hitler. The absolute hopelessness that flooded my body when I took my first sip was pure anguish incarnate, deprived of all flavor feelings and joy. Does anyone come to this establishment should they avoid this drink at all costs, lest they fall into the horrid feeling comparable to those felt by Frankenstein's I'm creature after it realizes its own cursed nature.

This is great store for book lovers. Huge selection in many categories, and nicely displayed. Very comfortable to walk around and browse. They could use more chairs to sit and read in, though. I had a customer service question and it was handled very well. I like spending time here.

Nice! The inside is clean, it's in a convenient location, and the staff are friendly and helpful. The starbucks inside is great and has a lot more options than drive-through starbucks, which are most of them in Utah. The book selection is great and the novelties are always fun. I reccomend this B&N above all others in Salt Lake.

Definitely the best Barnes and Noble I have ever been to! They have the biggest collection, there are so many options and everything is easy to find. I can spend hours here and I usually do. The staff is very knowledgeable and so willing to help! My only complaint is when I have to check out- the line is always super long and there's only one cashier. Good thing you have a book to read while you wait!

So glad rest rooms were opened this time because I always use rest rooms before I go to coffee area. When rest rooms were closed due to covid I never ever bought coffee and stopped going to Barnes & Noble. The coffee shop is the main point for me to go to Barnes & Noble. I'm relax browsing and buying when I have my coffee.

Just the smell when I walk through the front door makes me so happy, book pages and coffee. The perfect place for a browse of literally all the books (they have pretty much every book you are looking for, and ones you didn’t know you needed too 😉). And the cafe is a great spot to grab a coffee and yummy treat. I love to bring my 3 yr old son to story time every Saturday morning too. Very helpful and friendly staff every time.

I went for manga that I couldn't get at locally-owned book shops. The manga section is organized a little strangely but there is a ton of variety and lots of volumes of most titles.

Bought a couple of great books for my nephew here. The bathrooms were clean. The employees I talked to were especially helpful, making sure I found what I needed with ease. Also a great place to walk through when you need to kill 20 minutes.

This location is honestly my favorite Barnes & Noble. It has the feeling of a library rather than a bookstore (I would attribute it to the two floors), and it's small enough to where it's still intimate - at least not overcrowded.

I really like Barnes and Noble and they help me out in a pinch when I need a book for an English class. I was a little irritated because when I went tonight, I checked the hours on Google before and they said they closed at 8:00 PM When I went, they were closed and the hours were posted as closing at 6:00 PM. I also saw like 3-5 other people do the same thing and showed up after the store closed. Please update your Google hours so people do not get confused about your hours. For other people reading this review, Barnes and Noble closes at 6:00 PM ON SUNDAYS (at least during the COVID-19 pandemic).

This location is huge (the only one I've been to with two floors)! It's also very pretty. I had a lot of fun exploring the aisles and looking at books the old fashioned way. The employees were also nice. Unfortunately Barnes & Noble is overpriced when you compare most in store prices to ones on Amazon. They're pushing this subscription service to save a lot more money when shopping with them but overall I still think you'd lose money. However, this is a great place to get a book immediately if you don't want to wait for shipping. I gave 5 stars because being overpriced is a thing at every Barnes & Noble and most people already know that anyways so my rating is for this location itself. If I were to rate Barnes & Noble as a whole, I'd give them 3 stars.

I enjoy the atmosphere at this location even though it is a chain bookstore. The location and design simply adds a certain charm. The selection is voluminous. Two floors of books and other offerings. Prices are fine. Employees are friendly and ready to help. The organization is easy enough to get a handle of. There is ample parking in the lot. 21st South in this area is not always easy to exit onto and so egress should be a consideration as you leave.

This is a great Barnes & Noble. The location is great. Walkable if you live in the area and lots of parking if you have to drive. They have a large selection of books and enough seating that you can sit and get a feel for a book. The kids area is great. There is the train for the kids to play with or the stage for the kids to go read on.

We went Christmas shopping the weekend before christmas. Even though the store was very busy we were able to get in touch with someone at the customer service desk that was able to walk us to what we were looking for. Most of the registers were filled with employees working making the lines go by quickly. They had everything marked very well for the sales. I also loved the charity they had going wrapping gifts for free and any donations went to the charity for community outreach. I have always enjoyed going to this location but the service was amazing and surprised me with how kind and patient everyone was even with the business of the store.

I went to Barnes & Noble to buy some books for my friend that is taking a classes is I.T and so I had no idea where to start looking. I went to every area of the store looking and I started to get followed by employees (not to offer any help to me) just to make sure I was not stealing from the store. I finally had an employee ask me if I was looking for a book by author or by Title. So that employees was a huge help and the others stopped following me around. They have all kinds of figurines from Star Wars to Harry Potter for sale as well with plenty of places to sit down and read any book you have an interest in. Very awesome store to visit and to spend hours there.

This Barnes & Noble was nice. This was my first time at this one. It was a good overall experience. Staff was friendly and helpful. The only mark against it, would be that the sections could be marked a little better, maybe up above it like some other B&B's have. It is big, with a great variety of subjects and selections. It has a cafe in it, although I didn't visit it.

Fair but it is simply overpriced. From the coffee, to the sweets, to the books..., Everything is just overpriced. The atmosphere is comfortable, however if they want to stay in business, they're going to have to start competing in a real way, with Amazon. I did buy a book as a gift and I needed it right away, it was $18. The exact same book I bought for $12 on Amazon the very next day..., granted I did have to wait one whole day for it to be delivered to my door.

I love Barnes and Noble. This one is absolutely one of my favorite stores and I just visited for the first time! The corner building makes it feel massive in downtown sugarhouse and the inside is nothing but glorious. Filled to the brim with all genres of books you can imagine, I spent about an hour just in one section! Excited to come back, check out their vast selection and spend some time inside reading.

Love this location. The double escalators make it such a fun layout. It is a bit of a hunt to find the section you want, so it's perfect for browsing, and plenty of staff can help if you're in a hurry.

Barnes and Nobles has been an institution in my life for decades now, always a good place to go if you just want some quiet time to browse some books and depressurize yourself from the hectic world. It's only missing a star because the staff makes some weird decisions sometimes, little human mistakes but still not terribly professional. Also, they don't have access to restrooms because of COVID, which I get but it seems kind of odd. You're in a store full of touchable items with dozens of strangers, surely a place to wash your hands would help.

Favorite favorite favorite bookstore of all times you can find anything you need Barnes & Noble. They have all the best selling books all the magazines calendars toys games pretty much anything you desire. They have an awesome kids section were you can go and sit with your children and read the books that they have their for cell. I know they do have a story time I believe that I really want take my daughter to sometime I just need to find out when a low L Christmas time easy gift giving either I bought a book or I got a gift card the both people who bought the gifts for absolutely love them the gift card was for a teenager and I'm never seen a child so happy in my life

Store is in a good location and has a great selection. Two floors to choose from and the children's section is on the second floor tucked away from the other patrons. Staffed well and the checkout lines don't tend to get backed up. I will say that the restrooms a big but not very tidy very run down and most often very, very dirty.

I love this place! Although one comment could be that there should be a better classification of books. One classification named as fiction contains almost all authors and I think classification can be improved considering classic authors, Hispanic authors, English authors, etc. For example... in the fiction classification you can find Stephen King and Harper Lee... ok, both wrote fiction stories, but those are completely different types of literature.

They likely have what you need if you're willing to pay a premium. It's a nice store with an attached Starbucks, as well game and magazine sections. However, I would advocate for one of the local bookstores for a more helpful and personal experience, one of which is just North on the same road.

I love this bookstore as it's the center of the best part of Sugarhouse, but I've never not had the restrooms smell terrible and be dirty. If they cleaned up their restrooms it would definitely help my experience. Also, I would really love to have employees at the help desks more, because if one goes off it could take awhile for them to come back.

I've been to many bookstores of this chain, and it always does well with clearly labeled sections and a variety of content to explore. This is one of my favorite locations of this chain because it's so pretty on the outside and inside with 2 stories and a great Starbucks :)

One of the best Barnes and Nobles I have been in to in a long time. It's clean, pretty well, organized, and well stocked. The coffee shop has a good selection too. I also liked the fact that their sci-fi, fantasy, and comic section is quite robust too.

I love books. And I used to love Barnes and Noble. The only problem with B&N is that 99% of anything you can buy in the store is significantly cheaper online. You can see that this is taking a toll on the store chain as their toy and novelty section is ever expanding. That being said, I still enjoy browsing the books. I just don't buy anything.

Barnes & Noble is one of my favorite hang out places. Their closed restrooms means you do not show up needing to go. Because you have to scoot over to Noodles. And Noodles has clean restrooms and delish food.

The best thing about this book store is that it's two stories. Two. Stories. Of. Books. They have each section labeled, so it's easy to find what you're looking for. There's also a cafe on the bottom floor on the west side. They have books, games, music, toys, tote bags, notebooks... I've spent hours browsing here!

My last minute shopping (and I really do mean last minute) during the Christmas Holliday was a pleasurable experience here. They were well staffed and even though all the commotion, the store still seemed to be well kept and organized. They had plenty of everything in stock except for the Lego Elves Collection. That was completely wiped out. Everyone was wiped out of those. The lines were long but went super fast!!! Then they had gift wrapping available right by the magazines so you could sit down and brows if you wanted.

Barnes and Noble chain store in the middle of Sugarhouse. It has the typical findings of such a chain store, and the usual lack of charm. However, the staff are well trained, the waits are short, and the store is orderly and clean. Not a local bookstore with hand selected finds and the odd used book, but it is what it is. The Starbucks is even half-decent, although they still have the same over-roasted coffee. Parking in the mall is a bit crazy, but there always seems to be a spot, except at Christmas.

Typical Barnes and Noble, understandable store layout and good selection. Their prices can be a little high though compared to online book sellers, but that's the price you put to have a physical store. All in all, a good store but nothing absolutely spectacular or memorabilia to set it apart.

This is an excellent place to go when you have a lot of time to peruse the selection available at the store. They always have many books on clearance which can be a really good gift option if your stocking up on gifts. My only complaint is the parking it's difficult in always very crowded because of a nearby stores.

I love Barnes & Noble, but has been a notable shift in their priorities over the past couple of years. Yes they still sell books and movies, but at least 50% of their stores are now dedicated to toys and games. It’s fun to have a bistro in the store too, but B&N is losing its charm as it’s shelves are repurposed. I hope they last, but at this point I doubt they’ll still be open in five years. I hope I’m wrong, but it’s all been done before.

Great location! I placed an order online and unfortunately it was not able to be fulfilled. The employees searched the store several times but were unable to find my product. There was no rudeness during the entire interaction and the associate helped me find another store which had what I was looking for. Overall not a bad experience, had to go out of my way to finally find my product but it definitely wasn't the store's fault. This store is one of the few B&N locations near Salt Lake City and I would still recommend it.

I have always loved the atmosphere of the store on 2100 S. 1100 E. They will help you find what you are looking for, but never make you feel rushed or pressured to actually buy anything.

I personally do not like providing this info. They also ask for your zip code. I assume for tax reasons which does not make sense to me. It is big and has many selections. The staff is friendly and helps you find what you are looking for. Another big thing is that if you are looking for a book for your own pleasure the staff really knows their books. I started to feel interested in "Evolution" topics and I wasn't sure what book might be a good pick; the staff gave me really good recommendations and helped me choose my book even for a difficult topic.

With this being a 2 floored book store, I was expecting a bigger selection in all of the different Genres. Several Genres in this location but a very limited selection. Typically in a single level store, I have tons and tons of options to pick from and leave with a few books. Here, there was one book shelf selection per Genre and I walked out with one book compared to several. This was a major disappointment to me.

This Barnes and Noble is huge. They even have a second floor! I love going to Barnes and Noble to relax or shop with a friend. What to say, Its Barnes and Noble one of the last corporate bastion's for the printed word. I avoid in depth or passionate reviews about photo copied national businesses. Its always clean and there are a slew of employees willing to assist you in finding whatever you need. There is usually nice classical or easy listening playing through the stores soundsystem, which adds to the intellectual ambience. I believe most of them have an in store starbucks, so you can fuel writing that report with the book you are not going to purchase, because you are in college and its either buy this book or eat for the week. It is what is. You know exactly what you are getting when you come here.

On this visit, however, we spent a longer than usual wait in to pay since an customer was having some type of issue with something? I'm not sure people who buy books online (which you can typically get cheaper) go to this place because of pricing. It's more of an experience type thing. Browse real books, grab a cup of coffee from Star Bucks, sit down for a bit and enjoy yourself. You just can't get this with an online setting. It's two different type of audience anyway. If you enjoy real books (physical books) then you'll love this spot.

Just like you were expecting, it's a Barns and Noble. Purpose built, the layout is very similar to other Barns and Nobles. There is a coffee shop, decently sized selection of magazines including the request benches to sit and read them on, a mediocre selection of contemporary fiction, a smallish selection of sci-fi, and a few small sections of nonfiction. Free usually ample parking, which is sorta' strange in otherwise overcrowded Sugar House. A decent place to grab something to read. I like it.

I grew up going to Barnes and Nobles to hang out. There was one right by the mall of the town I grew up in and it seemed like what everyone would do on the weekends was either hang out at the mall, or hang out at Barnes and Nobles cafe and the bookstore. Two stories with the cafe on the first floor and lots and lots of books. It is somewhat a part of Sugarhouse Shopping Center and then is also seen if you are going up or down 2100th or 1100th.

The Starbucks here didn't pay attention to my order, and didn't even write it on the cup. I asked for a Venti White Choc Mocha at 140°F (just a bit warmer than kids temp)... Something I order very frequently just at locations in California. They decided to make the milk piping hot; which burned my tongue. I took it back up, actually apologized and asked if they could please remake it because it's extremely hot and I waited 5 minutes with the lid off hoping it would cool, but I really just need to drink it and get going... The associate goes "Then you want it lower than 140, cause I steamed it and it was at 140." ...I'm sorry but 140° is not going to be hot enough to feel outside of the cardboard sleeve. So I call bullshit. Also why would she look at the side of the cup and go "It isn't written on the cup" if she knew she made it correctly?

Always a great store however the Sugerhouse area is always under construction and the Barnes & Noble here is no exception. The escalator was down and being worked on during business hours. Thisbis usually fine because you could use one to use as stairs. But I got stuck up thete when they were switching crom one side to the other and had to wait until they were finished before I could leave. The parking lot during the day is a maze of construction machines and equipment. There are only 3 rows of parking and you'll find 1 blocked off at one side with not enough room to turn around. In the 2nd it will be blocked off in the middle and the last will have a truck unloading blocking the row bevause the loading area is also under construction and they cant use it.
