This is by far.. my favorite comic store in Az. And I have been to as many as Phoenix has to offer. We have a few here.. from the cute little and very friendly Ash Ave comicsin tempe, to fantastic world's in Scottsdale, dreadnaught comics, and Jesse James comics in North Phoenix, as well as Gotham city comics in mesa, samuari comics In central Phoenix and west valley, even surprise comics.. But, I truly think Ken and Susan and the entire staff at Drawn to comics in Old Town Glendale (58th Ave and Glendale Ave) have the best of everything. The staff offers great deals from 20 to 35 percent off comics to special events where customers are entered in weekly drawings. What makes this store (and Ash Ave) appeal to me is the super friendly staff. Drawn to Comics will and has gone out of their way to make you happy. I simply cannot say enough good things about this store and the staff. From, Ken, Susan, AC, Robert, Chris, and John.. they all go out of their way to help you find what you need and make sure to remember your name. This store carries everything from the newest weekly releases from DC, Marvel, Image etc.. as well as plenty of back issues to help you complete your run. They also have an upstairs where they have comic related toys and anime & manga. Besides comics they carry posters, comic supplies, graphic novels, statues, very old silver age key comics (like Avengers #8) and even quite the assortment of ratio and variant comic issues. Simply put, Drawn to Comics is everything a comic collector loves about comics.

I just got back into comics last summer (hadn't been reading since 2008) and I found Drawn to Comics. I have gone every single week since my first visit for new comics. This is genuinely one of the best stores I have been to. The environment is extremely welcoming and friendly. Every time I go in, I am always greeted (usually by multiple employees) and they always go out of their way to see if they can help me with anything. It really feels like a family environment. The owner is one of the friendliest people I have ever met and even tries to remember my name! Even when they are not helping me, they are usually helping someone else. The comic collection is very nice and you are likely to be able to find something that you are looking for. They also have an awesome "toy attic" that has a variety of awesome toys, from Marvel Legends to Star Wars to GI JOE and more! Don't forget to go upstairs if you visit. I highly recommend this comic shop to anyone looking for a new store to patronize. I am happy to call it my LCS.

Drawn to Comics is a good sized shop in downtown Glendale. I like the store, but find the layout awkward. The back issues are hard to go through as they are on three different heights of the table. You had to get down on the ground to look through boxes. Several of the back issue boxes were so stuffed you couldn’t flip through the comics. Staff was friendly, perhaps too much so. Every couple minutes someone would walk by and ask if you were ok or needed help. It was way too much, once is ok, after that if I need help I’ll ask.

Our new favorite Comic Book Store. Been there six to eight times. There new comic wall is fantastic. The last week wall is smaller but always stocked. Im catching up on my Star Trek and my wife is doing the sameon her Wonder Woman. The have a whole wall dedicated to WW. The amount of classic, new, independent, and even erotic (if that's your thing) is awesome. Highly recommend it.

A wonderful shop, with incredibly friendly staff. Upon walking in, a staff member gave me the layout of the store in a succinct manner, and let me know they'd be available if I was looking for anything in particular. Once I had found some items to take home, I walked up to the register to check out, and off-handedly mentioned I was looking to get into a series they had on the counter. The staff member enthusiastically talked with me about the series, walked me to the part of the store where I could find said series in trade paperback format, and even gave me some advice on where to start reading. All this, mind you, without trying to upsell/pressure me on taking this new book home right then and there; whenever I was ready to start, they'd be there to help. Couldn't have asked for a better first experience, and I can't wait to stop by again!

These guys provide phenomenal customer service.The homie A.C. called me up out of the blue because he knew I was a nightcrawler fan and asked me if I wanted him to hold the new comic about him. That right there is how you get a customer for life. I suggest you go here for all your comic book needs. These guys are the best. During free comic book day I went to every comic shop between tempe and surprise and drawn to comics is definitely is the best selection and atmosphere even before you add in the great customer service. Great staff, and they usually have what I'm looking for. And it's in a great location! I joined their membership/ pickup box and it has been worth it. Members get 20% off new releases, 10% off last week's issues, and 35% off back issue bins. If they don't have what I'm looking for, they can usually order it, and they'll add or remove titles to my list as I ask. Great customer service!

Worth a visit and every penny you spend. The moment you enter, you are immediately greeted by treasures lining the walls. Whether you're there for Batman comics, Spiderman or an obscure character you and only three other people know about, you're certain to find a diamond. Maybe even two or three. Downstairs you'll find comics and graphic novels for all ages, upstairs you'll be greeted by a world of toys. The inventory is astounding, whether you're a comic book veteran or a newbie looking for your first comic book. But the staff separates this from other comic book stores. The moment and I entered, we were immediately greeted by an incredibly friendly associate that told us all about the store. The cashier that helped me check out was genuinely invested in sharing small talk with me. And a young man that knew his Spidey comics helped Mom make a purchase. Definitely each and every visit. This store is a gem, whether you spend $500 or $5.

I love this place. So many great, different options of comics to choose from: Marvel, DC, Starwars, Walking Dead. The oldies to the new releases; they have them all. Comics are all fairly priced same with all of the other items like candy, figures, pins, etc. Very nice, welcoming, helpful workers who are always willing to help you find a good purchase or get you hooked on a story. You can also set up a box with them to ensure you get the week's newest reads. If you want a long-time comic shop, I would definitely have to recommend this place.

The staff at DTC is always exceptionally friendly and helpful in finding whatever I am looking for. I don't normally write reviews but in this case I feel the need to. I have been to hundreds of comic shops across the country and this was by far the most pleasant and delightful comic shopping experience I have had. All three members of the staff made me feel very welcome and made sure I had everything I needed. The best part was they made me feel that they honestly wanted me to have a great time and cared that I left with a smile on my face. For anyone who is just getting into comics or for anyone who is a collecting veteran this shop is a must visit, you will not be disappointed.

I come here because it's the closest shop. I like the staff, they're very friendly and do show the way. They're more than welcome to check for certain comic issues that are very popular and are being bought out fast (I've been to shops where they won't bother to check, they'll just tell me with an attitude that they're out of those issues). It's also amazingly decorated and even those can be bought which is cool. I have fun every time I come here.

Love this place! Been going here off and on for almost 10 years. They held my pills between deployments and always have amazing staff. They've grown quite a bit over the years and rightfully so! With other shops closing all around these guys are growing, that should tell you the truth of it. I've been to more comic shops than I can count. I attribute this to moving every two years for work. Most shops are the same.. negative, elitist, and generally uncomfortable. The moment that I walked into Drawn To Comics, I knew it would be different. I was greeted immediately by the entire staff and given a personal tour of the beautiful shop. The gentleman that walked me around not only helped me find what I needed, he ordered something that wasn't in stock. I didn't feel hassled or pressed to buy anything or to sign up for a subscription service. I wasn't made to feel uncomfortable or unwanted. It felt like they were just happy that I was there in a very "Cheers" sort of way. The shop felt like a real "Home" shop. One that you recommend to everyone and INSIST they visit at least once. One that converts you with great conversation, recommendations, and chill vibes. I had conversations with the staff about upcoming comic-to-tv shows as I checked out, and once I left everyone said good-bye. It was fantastic. Seriously, if you're looking for a comic shop to make your own, this one is it. This is the only shop that I'll be visiting so long as I'm stationed in Arizona.

Drawn To Comics is the number one spot to get comics. The staff is super friendly and helpful and they always have a great selection of comic books, graphic novels, and even some mangas. They also carry Funko pops, Legos, and action figure collectibles and much more. Every comic book comes with a board and bag which is a plus. I have been to some places where this is not included. Vast selection of comics, need a bigger location or a different rack/box system, only due to it appears a bit cluttered in there. But very knowledgeable people, friendly and fun. They have some very good workshops here as well. If you like comics and like to draw, they have a workshop for alt. covers that you create and can sell them in store as well. Go check it out!

Looking for comics and collectables provided by a friendly, knowledgeable staff? Look no further. A true one-stop shop for all things awesome, this has been my go-to store for years. The store has two floors, the main level showcases a massive selection of comics and high-end collectables while the second houses action figures and tabletop gaming. They run many special offers and discounts for frequent customers and those with subscription boxes. Suitable for all ages the store has a fantastic crew ready to assist customers with any question or need. There are many such shops about town but for me there is only one destination when it comes to collecting. This place is my "Cheers".

For the longest time this was not only THE comic book store to go to here in the greater Phoenix area but also my absolute favorite! Things have changed. Ken, the owner, is a wonderful guy who is knowledgeable and friendly and very customer service ordered. Not so much for others who work in the store. It's unfortunate because it's cost the store hundreds of dollars in purchases & not only from me (I've walked out 3 times because of "issues" with service while having oved $100 in purchases waiting). I won't say to not go there, not at all, I just wish that everyone who worked there would follow Ken's example of service........

They are easily some of the nicest comic book staff you will come across. They are always ready to assist in either finding you and issue/ordering if it available or just to talk shop about the very thing you've just came in for. I go 30 minutes out of my way just to go to their store since I know they actually appreciate the people visiting. As for their stock, they just opened the back part up thankfully so there is more room for the recent issues and back issue.

I was a brand new reader and they were thrilled to talk to me about comic books, make recommendations, and help fill me in on stuff I didn't know about. There are 3 comic book stores that are closer to me than Drawn to Comics. I chose Drawn to Comics two years ago because of their outstanding customer service. They quickly learned my name and made me feel right at home. Every time I come in the owner Ken shakes my hand and starts up a conversation. Their level of service is very rare to find in this city.

I come down to Glendale when there's a convention, so I don't visit often. However, when I am in town, I always make a point to visit this shop. They have an amazing setup with not only comics, but also collectable games, toys, and other apparel. Its two floors, with the majority of items on the first floor, and a attic area with collectable toys. They special order some unique items and they always keep it at manufacturer retail price (for new goods). This means they don't overcharge especially on those newer harder to find items. If you want to bargain, you'll need to talk to the owner and not the employees. They have virtually all the lastest comics. They also have a discount program if you visit frequently. I came here and found TMNT goods, MOTU, Transformers, Gobots, Predator, the list goes on and on. All-in-all, its a pretty cool store, definitely worth a look especially if you in Glendale visiting.

This is a high comic store! There are thousands of options to choose from! They've even got many figurines from all sorts of genres to pick from. Very friendly owners at this comic book store. They really did make it a point to talk to everyone in the store and they knew most people by name. They were very helpful and found some back-stock for me after they looked it up in their computer. They had a decent amount of back issues available and everything was bagged/boarded already for you. I did not have much time to fully look through some stuff that I wanted to, but when I have more time I will be going back. Wish it was closer to my house, but the workers at Samurai Comics by my house are generally rude and unhelpful, and that was so not the case with these guys. If you can make the trip it is worth it. He knew where every comic in the store was I also love how they have it so you can reserve a box and tell them which comics you want when they come out and right when they're released they put them in your box so you can just go in and pick them up and not have to worry about it selling out. Plus most of they're comics are just 3 dollars like they say on the cover not marked up to 4 5 6 bucks by the store owners and every comic comes in a sleeve in back when u buy it they store them in the sleeves in the boxes which also shows how devoted they are cuz that means that personally handle every comic that comes it would definitely recommend(and have) to anyone even semi interested in comics

This is THE place to go in the Valley of the Sun if you read and buy comics. They have tons of new titles from publishers big and small, an extensive collection of back issues, and lots of comic related merchandise including shirts, posters, statuettes, and more. Every customer is greeted every time and usually by name after your 2nd visit. Regardless of where you live in the valley, it is worth the drive to get here.

I appreciate that they offer discounts to students and military individuals, along with bagging and boarding every comic purchased from the new releases or back issue bins. They have a great selection of posters and collectibles as well for sale. I like the fact that they often get involved with the community to have activities like "Free Comic Book Day" or collecting food for food banks or packages to send to military overseas. This place is a finalist for Eisner (Think The Grammys for Comics) Shop of The Year Award just about every year. This constantly place exceeds my expectations.

Bought a 1970'a comic book that I was searching for as a birthday gift...ok but here is the 5 star reason...I had never seen or heard of this item and was even less helpful when the gentleman assisting me asked me the name of the comic book??? I apologized for my lack of information and said with embarrassment, "it was described to me as 3 guys that smoked Weed and got in all sorts of inappropriate, funny, and what was probably considered unlawful and lewd behavior! (for that decade anyways lol) and as I was about to thank him for taking the time to help me, he said..."ah yes! I know of a comic that might fit that description...and I think we even have an issue or two stored away someplace around here. I was very impressed with his patience and blind optimism for a customer who had just decided...to be polite, and to apologize...again...especially in when he returns with nothing and or something comparable to help ease my agonizing pain and failure of coming up empty handed! Then as he began to describe what he had found and the name of the items, it hit me like a brick...he not only found what I was looking for, but knew the entire history and took even more time to help me understand what I was purchasing and wanted to make sure that I was confident and informed about every detail, before making the purchase. This was important to me, but at this point not surprising. So...thank you very much to who I now refer to as the..."Ken Jennings of Comic Books" and his superhero like powers that saved not only the day, but the birthday...and maybe even the world! At least the world as I now know and live in. Thank you very much!
