I buy my wife gifts here. Staff is ALWAYS nice. They are very patient with folks who are looking for gifts for people who like things that they know nothing about. People like myself and the mothers of teenagers. Store is clean and has a TON of comic books and action figures etc.

For anyone growing up interested in comic books, you know how important and special your local comic shop can be. Galaxy has been the spot for my kids and I for over a decade. The team is friendly and knowledgable, they have the manga, comics and Pokemon cards for the kids with an awesome toy selection for myself.

I love both locations but this one although missing the best cat 🐈 on earth 😉, is a larger collection, of posters, figurines, action figures, comic books and manga. I bring my kids in here all the time & they never leave empty handed 😅 its nice though that it's not a struggle to keep my kids reading actual books & it's thanks to gems like this place 📚 And their prices are the same if not cheaper than Amazon & Barnes & Nobles (when it comes to similar products)👍

I’m not a big collector in my old age but I’ve recently been visiting every comic shop I can find in throughout the city to complete my DC collection and this is one of the best. They have an incredible selection for such a small shop and the staff is passionate and friendly. I wish I had more time to speak with them but I’m usually in a rush. I’ve been visiting regularly and they have a great special of 20% off any sale over $100. That beats any deal I see online or otherwise hands down.

This has been our local family comic book shop for years. The kids and I love this place. *In reference to the Royal Arena review: I worked in a comic book shop in the 90s. Comic book shops are not pure retail. They also sell collectibles and prices will reflect that. Harder to find comic books, figures and cards will always have a markup reflecting that. Always have. Always will. Small business also don't get the same wholesale breaks as big chains and their profit margins are way less. This is especially true with comic book shops since the industry has taken a hit due to digital options. Pricing is even more relevant when you're 9 months into a pandemic. This is great spot with a knowledgeable team supporting the geeks in our neighborhood. Go browse and buy now.

Nerd Haven. Absolutely love that Park Slope has its own Galaxy comics. Great spot to spend 15 minutes looking through comics and toys. Also has a decent selection of Pokemon, Yugioh, and other TCG products.

This store should receive 6 stars! Shelves are packed w/ comic books from all different eras but I'm not keen on comic collecting. What brought me in was the "Archie Comics." Newsstands hardly carry them anymore and they are simply the best comics. They have a nice selection of mostly the latest editions. I'm so thankful for coming across this shop. The merchant also seems quite courteous and helpful.

Very nice place , bit confusing with new titles . Moving soon to next door . Update since they moved to new location (few steps away from the former place i believe in April ) : Great , clean , organized , neat and lots of lights ! They have basically all new stuff . Muhamed the owner is very nice ! They have a great $ 0.50 comics boxes ! If you look for old comics this is not the place but anything new is there and always great ! They also give Bags and Board for all comics ! A lot of supply if you are a collector ! :)

I love this place! I've been a customer for well over 10 years. I don't live in Brooklyn anymore but continue to visit whenever I'm in the borough. P.S. my local comic shop doesn't come close. I wish it did. Tolls are expensive!

Local comic shop with that local feel. Very friendly--good discounts on new comics and trades, and always ready to talk shop. You can set up a hold list. I've had very few problems with my hold list, and they've always quickly re-ordered issues if one was missing.

Friendly staff, well managed collection. The shelves running down the middle of the store display all the new comics, organized by publisher and hero/ine, with the outside shelves displaying collections, older comics, and toys. They even have some political comics & action figures which made me laugh. Periodically they give away old comics for free outside.

Great comic book store from a recently born comic book fan. I'm a nerd and revisiting some 70's comics caused a lightbulb to go off over my head that comics are written for nerds, by nerds. A sweeping generalization, yes, but that's what hit *me*. A fourth, maybe an eighth, of the size of Forbidden Planet in Uniom Square, I think they carry a great stock of comics and collectables (Funko, rare toys, shirts, I think) and always have a great window display. They carry mainstream and indie comics. They have comics for all ages, and carry many types - including manga. Not sure about those collections because they're not what I'm into. It's your friendly neighborhood comic book store!

This comic store is pretty small but it has tons of comics and even more toys and collectibles. The statues are amazing and on display at the windows and move inside. It also has a few T-shirts.
