A well curated selection of books and games. There's also an area in the kids' section with some toys and reading chairs. I love buying small so I wish they had a used or sale section and a teacher's discount and I'd go even more often.

At the last minute suddenly dawned on us that we needed an up-to-date travel guidebook to our destination, was too late to check library or order online, and rushing down to Anderson's we found not only numerous guide choices for same location, but ALL were published in '22!

What a wonderful place!! The staff is warm, welcoming, and helpful...if you dont see the book you want, they are quick to offer to order it for you..gift wrap is offered complimentary....no need to shop anywhere else for books and gifts..forget shopping online and in frenetic malls. Slip into this book store and enjoy an escape from the hectic world in this local gem....

This is a really nice local bookstore with a great staff that offers more than just books. They have many cute and clever gifts for last-minute shoppers; if you find yourself in this situation, stop in to find something. It's not a huge store, but it has a good selection and is very warm and cozy inside. I'd count it as a "hidden gem" of the Larchmont / Mamaroneck / New Rochelle area.

Wonderful place! Lots of interesting books, toys and other trinkets. They also have free classes on different topics (Five Little Mo keys, Beach Party & etc.) for little kids.

A staple of Larchmont! I remember coming here as a child. We used to play with the cat through the mail slot. Ahh, Anderson's! In a time of dwindling bookstores, Anderson's is charming and vital and remains a jewel in larchmont's crown.. long may she reign!

It's my first time back after the reopening! I got a chance to make an order online and pick-up in store. When I got the order, I immediately got a response that it was already in the store and ready for pick-up. I couldn't pick up during the weekday. I'm so glad about the new store hours, given that I was able to pick up on a Sunday!! It was very quiet, and people were already there picking up their books. The layout has changed a bit. I feel like this bookstore is for folks who grew up going to this bookstore, and the place felt more grown up (if that makes sense. Also not a bad thing!) What was the kids area now looks like the event area with chairs, a couch, and more books. The back of the store is now "Bookworm Park", the area for the little ones. I'm looking forward to bringing the little guy here soon. There was an open puzzle for folks to participate, which I thought was cool. People were nice, and I was able to get the book with no issues. I hope this bookstore is here to stay! Note: the review below is from 2021. I do feel the same way about it now, just that some things have changed. This bookstore is cute. They have a selection of different types of books including fiction, non fiction, cooking, and many others! I also saw that they had toys/board games and a section for kids. I didn't buy anything from there, but my wife tried to get a book that wasn't available. We wanted an excuse to come back to the store, so we asked the person to order the book for us. Looking forward to getting more books from this bookstore!!
