Got the chance to stop in recently. Really enjoyed the shop. It's one of those last shops that hasn't turned in to a table top gaming spot (yes youcan buy games though) . This is a real comic shop. Friendly and knowledgeable folks, massive collection of trades, games, figures, and more. I asked a few questions about some of the more rare books and they actually taught me some stuff. I'll definitely be back in the near future.

I like this comic store the best in the NOLA/Metairie area. They are well stocked, organized, and have a lot of different products to offer. To me, the worst thing a comic book store could do is not have much stock of new issues and be so disorganized where it's hard to find series. I have encountered that elsewhere, and had planned to spend a good bit of money which those stores lost due to not having stock and me being frustrated by having to look hard for anything. This store did NOT have that issue. Staff also spoke to me and offered help a few times which I appreciate.

Wow! I’m so glad I caught a glimpse of this pristine thoroughly stocked local business. I didn’t know places like this still existed. I do not know enough to critique the inventory but I have a hard time believing they didn’t have everything. Massive selection of graphic novels, comics, a kids section as well as games. Well light, organized, super clean and comfortable. Will be back asap.

Can't say how many times I've driven past not realizing this comic book store was here. Stopped in today so my kiddo can get Manga to add to her collection, and ended up walking out with an old Uncanny X-Men that I used to read as kid and couldn't find anywhere else. This store is definitely a gem. The employees are very nice and friendly. We will be back, for sure.

Extensive selection of weekly comics, trade paperback (collected comic stories), and games. Family friendly. Needed to kill an hour during doctor's visits today. Great place to do that!

Came here after going to their smaller location. The difference in inventory was staggering. My only gripe would be that the manga collection was limited, but it was more than made up for with nearly a wing of graphic novels. Of the comic book stores in NOLA I've visited this is the best one, also was able to get pretty good prices on some nice bronze age comic books.

This is the Gold Standard for all other comic shops to strive for in my opion and I've been to a few all over the states. Awesome store!!! A lot of comics and merchandise very friendly staff. My only draw back is that i seen a regular price variant in the new comic section selling for 5 dollars. I'm almost positive it wasn't an incentive and if it was they have 5 stars from me. I don't believe it was since there were only 3 incentives for this book and it wasn't one. But anyways other than that freaking awesome store ill visit it anytime I'm in the city.

This is my favorite comic book store in town. The staff and owner are super-helpful and knowledgeable. The store is very well organized and easy to navigate. Selections are grouped by genre, including several shelves for 'staff picks'. Good variety of trades as well as single issues. There are also a few T-shirts and other collectibles throughout the store, but the main focus is on the books. They sometimes host parties featuring notable artists and writers, so it would be a good idea to get on their mailing list for updates.

Great selection of new and old at vastly superior prices. They very regularly get in lots of new back issues. The labeling on their comics is very informative as to condition, first appearances, etc. I primarily shop for back issues but they have tons of graphic novels, statues, figures, games, new releases, and tons of misc. stuff. They also regularly have amazing sales going on. I've checked out other places around town and Crescent City Comics prices are on average half of what other places are charging in addition to easily being the cleanest and most organized store. Everyone there is super nice and knowledgeable. They will even keep an eye out for issues you are looking for. They knew I was looking for the Punisher mini series and as soon as I walked in they grabbed the whole set for me they had just gotten in hours before. They set the standard for how a comic shop should be run and the bar is set very high here.

What I love most though is that they do a great job of keeping back issues, which is great for me cause ill miss several releases in a row, and then set out to buy them at once, and I'm certain that in the many times I've visited these guys, they've never failed to fave what I wanted. I love small press comics and books and they have a wonderful selection of indie books as well incredibly thoughtful recommendations from a very friendly staff. Go here. The store has a pretty large selection of new releases, including indies I don't see in stores around the metro area. They turned out to be a helpful bunch when trying to locate back issues of an older series, though you can probably find more current market priced books online. I'm interested in seeing what the layouts like in a few months so I may stop by again when in town.

Very nice new store has a littlebit of everything. I would say it is one of the larger comic book stores in the city (much bigger than their store on Feret St.). Friendly staff that is really good at recommending new titles. Always had a good experience at both of their stores.

When people say local comic book shop, you get an idea of a cool and cozy shop stocked with vintage and new comics with that old comic book paper smell when you open the door. Crescent City Comics is by far the best place to go to get your comic fix. They have an awesome backissue long box stock perfectly organized or if you want something in particular just ask someone and they will go pull out the backroom for you. The staff are always helpful and greet you everytime and the owner is just as cool and eager to help and will answer any questions, or just chat it up for fun. I recommend this place to everyone I know who enjoys browsing for old gems or to anyone just getting into comics. Crescent City is incredible and the name sounds like a city in comics.

Honestly this is the best place in the city to buy comics. The staff is pretty friendly in the selection is quite large. I never have a problem finding what I'm looking for. They also have local comics for new aspiring writers.

It's a comic shop. Very large selection if you need to pick something up asap but the prices are really high I know that they are msrp but when you can get all absolute edition on Amazon for sometimes $40 or $50 less why spend the extra money. Again not saying it's a bad place but sadly the prices are not competitive.

They have full series and/or consecutive issue runs in bags at reasonable prices, so you don't have to dig through the back issues. They also have a box dedicated to Transformers comics and trades. There are tons of other things, too.

Went in looking for anime stuff (considering there is no anime store in NOLA) and while they had a small selection of manga, there wasn't anything I was searching for. The gentleman working though was very nice, and they seemed to have a good selection of comics though.

As a kid I used to go to this comic shop when it was on Elysian Fields ave. When I found out that they reopened after Katrina I knew I had to continue to support them. Great staff and the owner still remembered me from when I was a kid. Every comic you can think of and tons of graphic novels t-shirts and collectibles.

There are a handful of good comic shops in the Greater New Orleans area. CCC's two locations are the only good stores in New Orleans itself. The Calhoun location is the newer and better shop. It has a wider selection.
