Such a great place to visit. The knowledge and passion put into such an amazing bookstore is experience I’m happy to have had. I highly encourage everyone to visit Community Book Center. I guarantee you will leave out informed.

Such an amazing book store and community center! We talked to Mama Jennifer and learned so much! Staple stop in NOLA! A Black owned business that really all about elevating Black Joy and success!

What a wonderful bookstore. POC owned, POC centered. Clean, well organized. Large selection of books. The lady working the counter said if something could not be found on the shelves or their website to let them know and they will see what they can do. What an amazing selection! Great customer service. No dedicated parking lot. In an area with a lot of other POC owned businesses. I look forward to coming back and supporting them more in the future.

Great selection of books and seems to host some fun educational events!

This was the last stop on our All Bout Dat tour and it didn’t disappoint. So many unique books but also the big names as well and such a fun and generous kids section. It feels like you walked in to your neighbors library, my mom and I loved it!

First time visiting with a friend in this warm bookstore. Outside was a shelf of previously used books with a promotion of filling your bag up with them for $5.00. Upon entering, Community Book Center was well lit surrounded by warm color tones. The book selection is mainly African-American, and could use more books. The selection was very diverse and inclusive was all genres.
This bookstore also sells clothing and bags. I will return here in the future!

Of course I had to buy 5 books from my reading list. Great store with a good selection for everyone. Including one of a kind gifts. Buy local and support Black owned businesses.

Friendly place where we found several books including an advanced reader's copy that was gifted to us because we found it on the shelf.

It was like coming home. Mama Jennifer's warm spirit lingered with with me ...not to mention I was able to easily add to my personal library...she's got it all!
