This place is magic <3
Comfy and cozy! It’s a great place to look for a new book and find some great recommendations. I love perusing the newly added used books to see what I may have been missing for my TBR pile.
This is an inclusive and safe space. Love it!!
And best part, if they don’t have what you’re looking for, they can order it for you! I Italian their website to keep track of my need to buy list.
And, if you’re not looking to keep an extensive library or are like me and need to feed your book habit, you sell your books back! Keep that cycle going!

One of my favorite local and queer owned bookstores in Minneapolis! It’s so quaint and very much a neighborhood vibe yet still has some of the newest titles. But this is a mostly used bookshop and I’m often able to find great prices on hidden and sometimes obscure poetry gems that I wouldn’t have found at an all new bookstore. Overall a great neighborhood bookshop and support them when you’re in the area!

This is the only place that I shop for books in Minneapolis!! I love how safe of a space it is for so many people. I love that it's second hand. The staff are some of the most kind people I've met in a retail environment. Today I requested to conduct a photoshoot here with a client, and they were incredibly accommodating. I cannot recommend this bookstore enough!!!!! <3 them.

Greetings and salutations, fellow bibliophiles! Travel to yon bibliomaniac, whose shelves overflow with a delectable selection of previously loved and fresh books eagerly awaiting to nest on your shelf. Betwixt the shelves is the marvelous staff, all of whom are affable and knowledgeable. So go, make a pilgrimage to this extraordinary bookshop.
Aurora Pass
Great selection of books for good prices, their kid books room is cute and the section labels are hilarious (it's worth going just for that). Well organized, and friendly people.
Liberty Willms
Pretty fantastic, super queer friendly bookstore! They love their Tolkien, and have amazing blind bags of books!
Greg Meyer
Great new neighborhood bookstore. Wonderfully comfortable, friendly, accessible and stimulating. Just the sort of addition to the area we need!

Cute little corner bookshop. Great mix of new and used books. Be sure to read the shelving section markers as you browse. They are a little more creative than just "fiction", "romance" etc...will most certainly go back
Meg Niesen
Heck yes I love this place. Best Bookshop ever! ...ok this may be a bit biased cause I own the joint. But google asked me for a review so here it is. 🤷♀️ …
Amanda Helling
Delightful bookstore. I've preordered a few books through them and shopped their post-clearance "free" sale (because I forgot to shop the clearance sale!). Love having a shop in the area, and really appreciate how loudly LGBTQIA-friendly they are.

An unexpected gem of a bookstore! My wife and I stopped in while waiting for our take at the nearby Hot Plate (also excellent!) and were pleasantly surprised by the cozy, welcoming atmosphere, the friendly staff, and the amazing & eclectic selection. A quirky, cozy, cute, fun, and inclusive little shop that I could spend all day any day browsing.
Kerry Ross
Perfect little bookshop in a great neighborhood..looking forward to shopping here again. Thanks for the great reads 🙏🤩 …

I love this little bookstore. It's cozy, well-decorated (especially by season), and the section labels are delightful. The staff has always been helpful and welcoming. I've found unique books I wouldn't have found anywhere else here, including a book I'd been meaning to re-read but didn't expect to find in any non-chain store. Since the start of the pandemic, I've ordered books from them online that they didn't have in stock, and still received them in my mailbox super promptly.

Always a treat to stop by and is my favorite indie bookstore in the cities. Meg and her team are hilarious and super fun. Definitely an underrated gem.
Emilie Tyndall
The most adorable book shop I have ever been to in my life. You can tell the owner is hilarious.
Mara Lawler
Our go to local bookstore. Knowledgeable friendly staff and reasonable prices! We’d rather support a local business.
John O'Neill
Friendly and welcoming little neighborhood bookstore. We enjoyed our visit. They even offer free books in front. You can occasionally find something good.
Nicole Kitzhaber
I love that I am able to read great books, get them shipped to my house for free, support this awesome local business, all while giving me so much joy during a crazy, un-ending pandemic.

We visited this charming bookstore for the first time by booking an hour appointment to shop. It was so much fun to have the entire store to ourselves! We highly recommend checking it out. Wonderful staff and fantastic selection of books! We will definitely be back after finishing the stack of books we bought!
David Campbell
Easily my favorite bookstore in the Twin Cities. Meg is very easy to work with. Any time I pre-order a book, I make sure to go through them. It's easy to do on their website. You can get it delivered, or pick up in person. Since this place is one of my wife's happy places, I always have pre-orders sent to the store so she has an excuse to go and nerd out. Support local bookstores!
Antony Plocido
A new arrival that couldn't have a nicer owner. Make your way to South Minneapolis and check them out. Buy stuff.

A neighborhood gem - pre- and in the midst of COVID-19! Our family is looking forward to the day when we can browse and shop in person again rather than online. It's a spacious and welcoming bookstore with lots of natural sunlight and tons of spots to sit and leisurely look at their books, plus they have the best children's room in town! We are loving the fact that we can still get some great books as we sit this pandemic out. We appreciate the thoughtfulness of the proprietress, Meg, in making it the safest experience during a trying time for our local businesses. We've bought used books and new books, too, so...no matter what you're looking for, the folks at The Irreverent Bookworm can order it for you - the online experience, by the way, is super easy! And if shopping online for books isn't your thing right now, there is always the option to purchase gift certificates to use later.

Pre-pandemic, I liked visiting the physical store. It was warm, whimsical, and welcoming; that applies to both the staff and the physical place. "Cozy" would be another word to describe the store itself, but that doesn't alliterate, and it would be presumptuous to apply that to the staff.
The selection is eclectic, with a bit of something for everyone. With the pandemic, they appear to have pivoted smartly to online ordering. I've both picked up books at the store and had them shipped directly to me, and have been totally satisfied with the results. I look forward to the day when I can visit in person again. It is an excellent example of a small, local business in this era of global mega-everything.
Viva el bookworm! Long may it thrive.
Maria Ludwig
A welcoming and wonderful bookstore, with new and used books, clever & cute shelf labels, and friendly staff who love to recommend great books!
Nikki Fossen-Andreska
My favorite independent bookstore! It was great to be able to shop in person again! The folx working there were very helpful in the way of suggestions for my college aged daughter & my nine year old.
Cathy Gunderson
I love supporting local bookstores! Meg (and staff!) is friendly, kind, knowledgeable, and helpful. I recently requested a new but obscure book and she found it quite quickly and shipped it to me! No bookstore can have everything that everybody wants, but I bet Meg can find it!
Sarah Waller
I didn’t have a chance to visit this bookstore before the pandemic, but I’ve loved watching them open their store and supporting them from afar! And they always include a cute sticker with my book orders that I’ve had fun peppering my car and laptop to advertise haha. Send them all your love and book orders!!
Kailee Kriegel
Amazing staff, amazing selection, and God-tier memes and categories posted around the store to help you select books. I’d give them more stars if I could. During COVID they’ve still done an absolutely wonderful job in keeping their items available despite the store not being open to the public and for curbside only.
Lynda
Friendly staff and owner, and several comfy places to leaf through the books you've picked up. Eclectic collection of books for sale at reasonable prices. I look forward to visiting more and watching thetheir stock grow.
Oh, and I don't have kids, but if I did, I'd want to hang out in the beautiful children's room.
Check it out and support local business!
Helen Barber
Incredible selection of new and used books! The staff were so helpful with their service and recommendations too!
Eric Brodeur
The bookstore is AWESOME! Super friendly staff (owners), a GREAT selection, and these super low prices can't be beat! We visited their grand opening day, and scored a bunch of great children's books for our LFL!
Matthew Hall
Fantastic addition to the neighborhood! Before quarantining began, my kids and I loved to browse through the youth books in the back room to find some new-to-us books. We look forward to being able to do that again soon!
Sydney Ward
Fabulous book shop with an excellent selection run by the most wonderful folks! Highly, highly recommend for all book lovers. It's easily my favorite book shop in the cities.
Amaya Fiock
Loved this book store, very clever and lovingly set up of displays of books and related items made me and my irreverent bookworm daughter smile in pleasure!
christy james
A lovely local bookstore with a broad range of new and used books. Friendly staff and cozy atmosphere. I look forward to when we can shop in person again, until then I will continue to use their online shop.
Skylar Zilka
Super creative space! I love the hilarious labels they give to the book sections. (But this also makes it a little difficult to find what you're looking for.) See if you can spot the resident gnome when you visit.
Best of luck to you after the Grand Opening!
Elizabeth Mathers
I 100% love this book store and miss visiting in person. Their website is awesome and easy to navigate, but can occasionally get overwhelming. I follow them on Facebook and Instagram for updates and always can get the information I need.
Laura B
Absolutely lovely little used book store! They have a great variety of cleverly named sections and an adorable children's reading room.

Such a great local bookstore. The owners are so kind and knowledgeable, the space is adorable, and their names for their book sections always make me laugh.

This is a great place to spend an afternoon!
Chris Gwinn
A great little independent bookstore. While it's fun to shop in, they've also been doing a great job with local delivery during the lockdown.
Molly Thynes
Adorable, little shop that still sports an amazing selection.
And with live readings and music almost every week, what more could your little indie heart ask for?
Robert Swanson
Awesome store with so much variety. The section labels are hilarious. Good value. I even got a John Waters book that was autographed.
Justin Ely
Small, but extremely quality selection of books both new and great quality used.
Adam Webster
What a wonderful, warm bookstore. The least claustrophobic used shop I've ever seen. A joyful add to the neighborhood.
Luis Oviedo-Perez
This place is great and the staff is the best. Good selection and the special order for one book went by faster than anticipated
Great all around.

Ordered used books online and they shipped super promptly. Was surprised to find two books I was looking for used. Basically, a covid miracle.

I LOVE this shop! It has the vibe I am looking for in a bookstore. I especially love the labels on the categories. For instance: Self help books ="Books your therapist recommends". I love to be able to buy both new and used books here, and it is very cool to be able to trade in previous reads.
