House of Secrets is a comic readers/collectors haven. Everywhere you see is comics, comics, and more comics. They range from modern age to golden age comics and it cannot be said anymore that this wonderful place is beyond stocked. If you love comics you’ll be walking around and checking everything for more than an hour. There’s literally so much to look at, but that’s not it. Within the store there consist of a pocket space where more comics are placed neatly and ready to be rummaged through. They may or may not be obscure, but still worth looking through to find something spectacular. You might even find the original printings of Michael Turner’s Fathom comics. As an advent reader you’ll find that they care about the condition of the comics placed on the shelves. They understand the importance of this and make sure the best are presented with an appeal to purchase. The staff are willing to help if you have trouble trying to locate a specific comic in the store. The outside of the store however proves to be a very clever strategy that works incredibly well. As their name suggests, the windows and the door are well treated to prevent people from looking in. This gives you the curiosity to come in and discover what’s inside. House of Secrets is the place you need to visit when you get the chance.

Great place to visit especially if you are in for a treat of a huge selection of hard to find back issues of Comic Books, Magazines, Trade Paperbacks, and Many More Pop Culture Novelties! If you are in awe with how the store is set up upon entering, you have to check the two secret rooms at the side and at the back (trust me, a lot of harder-to-find comic books and magazines are kept on the and easily browsable on tons of long comic book storage boxes). Overall a great place to shop for Comic Books! Highly Recommended!

Since living in Cincinnati for the past three years, I have thought about this place often. Got myself some Web Of Spiderman and Wolverine '88 issues. Five stars everyday!

Really great store! I found a couple of personal keys I had been looking for in the back room. Well organized and lots to look at. Huuuuge selection of graphic novels. The person who was at the cash register was super personable even though he was juggling a few tasks.

I love how you guys came out on the new series Paradise PD on Netflix as Die Alone Comics S1 E5. It was awesome to see the shop almost exactly as real life. The inside was a miss, but the building was perfect.

I've been going to this comic book store for several years and I love it! The inside is on the smaller size but it's very quaint and the decor is fantastic! The small size is only a issue during Free Comic Book day. The selection of comics is great and the owner is super nice! If you're in or near Burbank and you like comics, this place is a must-go!

I walked in with a few minutes to kill and no particular mission. As soon as I walked in, the gentleman behind the counter greeted and welcomed me. Seemed like a great guy. I putzed down the aisle, impressed that pretty much every inch of the store seems to be overflowing with comics. I asked about Moon Knight because the new show looks kinda metal and I don't know anything about the character. He quickly suggested a little anthology of a few issues including Moon Knight's introduction in Werewolf by Night!, an appearance in the Amazing Spider-Man, and then Moon Knight #13 and Moon Knight Annual #1. It was $10 and the art looked pretty neat so what the heck. I also happened to notice the first two issues of something currently running, I think. It looks like Neil Gaiman is writing a "Norse Mythology" series - which is all I needed to grab the first two issues. Looking forward to seeing what that'd about. I'm glad I dropped in, definitely gonna be back.

House of secrets is the premiere comic book store in Burbank. I have been coming here for over 15 years and I live 2 hours away. The place is well curated and maintained as well as incredibly fun to go visit. Check them out and chat up the clerk about whatever you're looking for, I'm sure he'll be able to find it.

See staff from DC Comics there a lot as they are 5 blocks away. All ages ...all interests...and a banging selection. If you didn't know...well now you do! Enjoy !

I had heard such great things about this local gem, that I had to check it out for myself. As I walked in I was immediately greeted by this real cool guy, very awesome customer service, i felt welcomed. House of secrets is not a massively huge place but an extremely comfortable shop to browse and find what your looking for. It also impressed me how well the walls are decorated by original art work, unique posters, cool hardcovers, silver age and bronze age comics, it well displays the unique images of cool comic book store, a little bit of the old and the new. I highly recommend this comic book shop, great customer service, well detail items for sale, fair prices and a pretty good location.

One of the coolest comic book shops I have ever been in. Excellent selection of trade paper backs and hardbound editions. Lots of new issues and a great back stock of older issues. This is a fantastic comic book shop. It has a huge selection of books, (standard issues, hard/soft covers, collections) and it some rare issues which are available for purchase. The workers, only 3 as it is a small shop, are awesome. They are knowledgeable if you are curious about a certain book or series, they are friendly when you conversate with them and all while giving their own opinion on the subject you may be talking about. I have had no issues with them and will continue to purchase my comics from here. Highly recommend.

First time writing a review, but I really wanted to give a shout out to the House of Secrets crew and especially the owner Paul who is a top bloke! I have bought books from House of Secrets before and found the staff to be very pleasant and helpful. What really stands out for me was when I wanted to sell some comics and graphic novels to Paul; he was so gracious and trusting: didn't try to nickle and dime me (obviously he needs to make a profit on what he buys), wasn't even going to check was I had brought in today until I requested he do so - to make sure he was happy with the merch. I have visited many comic book stores and dealers in different parts of the world over 30 plus years. Dealing with Paul probably ranks as one of the best buying and selling experiences. This is a great store and I hope people find this review helpful.

A cool, very friendly place to buy comics! Everything is organized well, and the staff are very helpful. Love the little lounge in the front--it's a good place to sit and read comics. The 10% discount for female customers certainly doesn't hurt, either. :D

Assisted me by showing me the book collections of the comics issues I was looking at before I even thought to ask about whether there were any, and helped me try to pinpoint where one of the newer Marvel characters I was looking into started appearing. First time visit. Was greeted warlmy and given an excellent breakdown of how the shop is laid out making my comic book hunting easy! All of the new stuff, tons of back issues, variety of graphic novels and plenty of comic related paraphernalia to choose from. Parking can be tricky but not a deal breaker. I enjoyed my first visit and look forward to returning over and over again. Make this shop your go to shop!

I must say that this is my favorite comic book shop. They have a wide selection of back issues and their prices are great. Usually, back issues get marked up substantially even for books that are considered readers... Not here. They have alot of new issues, but I've never been lucky enough to find a variant. They have some obscure books as well. I don't care too much for the actual novels, but they have a bunch here. They also have a section full of readers that are priced as readers, which is good. Their kind enough to hold stuff for you and even took my number so they can inform me once they get new issues or back issues of books I'm looking. Again, my favorite shop. So much so that I drive from Northridge area just to look around. :^D

If theres any review you need, it's this one. Plain and simple. All of the employees are amazing human beings. They all did their absolute best to help me find and order an older issue of Doomsday Clock (#11B if you must know). They have earned their reputation of being THE go-to spot for having a huge collection of backlogged issues. If you need anything, go here, you wont be disappointed. A shame they are so far from me though. 😭

I have been a customer of House of Secrets since 1999. Unfortunately, I had to move and finding a comic bookstore similar to House of Secret in San Diego county has been met with disappointment. The staff is really approachable no matter if you are an avid reader or just trying new things. I recently went back and it felt like home. All I can say is that I wish there was a House of Secrets in San Diego county.

I'm from AZ and happened to be staying at the Safari Inn across the street - so I just popped in for a bit and found a nice back issue of Warren's Vampirella that I didn't own. It was FCBD so the store was a bit more of a madhouse than I'm sure it usually is, and I lingered less than usual because of this, but I loved the cool little shop and the awesome decor. The Plastic Man bench outside is a nice touch. I recommend The House of Secrets to any comic fans in Cali or just visiting the Burbank area!

After spending the last 20 years in the middle of the pacific I have returned to LA to find a place that makes my heart all warm and fuzzy.
