Nice place to grab and drink, snack, and study =) We loved walking around the bookstore & then sitting at the Cafe with our drink, croissant, and studying without distractions. Just a totally peaceful environment! Staff was very friendly.

One big book store and maybe its gonna become one of my favorites. They had a bunch of mangas from a lot of different illustrators. A lot of books and a solo for my favorite author, Stephen King. A bunch of graphic novels to; from marvel to dark horse comics.

I love books. I actually went in to just get books for Christmas and found a great selection of toys for small children and was able to get my shopping done there. Barnes & Noble has so much more than books. There are puzzles, games, toys, magazines, reading lights. It's just a really cool store.

Who doesn't love a great bookstore! I wish they sold candles of how the Barnes & Nobles smell. I seriously love this place. It's clean, there's coffee, and you can sit and read to your heart's content.

Huge shout out and thank you to Candice (Candace?) at this location! Yesterday I spent over an hour browsing and selecting 8 books throughout the store. I was at the last section I wanted to look through, placed my books on top of the shelves to pick up a book that caught my eye, then, as if in slow motion, one book after another started sliding off my pile. I quickly grabbed my books and went over to the other aisle of the shelves to grab the couple that had slid off - and they weren't there. My books had actually fallen BETWEEN the book shelves! I could see them, but there was no way to reach in there. This is where Candice comes in to save the day! I found her at check out and she came right over with me to the section. Candice quickly assessed the problem and left to seek help. When she returned she had a couple of colleagues with her and they began emptying the bookshelf and taking it apart! They retrieved my books rather quickly! I'll be honest, when Candice came to look at what had happened, she took a photo of the books I had dropped, and I just assumed she was going to suggest leaving them there and she could order them to be delivered to me. That would have been the easier thing to do for her. I'm extremely grateful she made the effort to go above and beyond and I can only hope B&N reward her in some way for being such a stellar employee!

I like this BN :) the children's area is super clean and neat, which is no small feat. My favorite is how big the cafe area is. Definitely no need to scavange for a table, there are plenty. The is room for a larger group for book clubs. And if you're into magazines, the selection is big.

Almost all the books here can be bought brand new online for less money granted you may have to wait a day or 2 to get the books sold online but for the savings from buying online it's worth it to wait a couple of days to get a certain book..

What a lovely gem of a bookstore!! Since Amazon and digital books took over, finding a good book store with real books and coffee, kids books, and a variety of literature has become a rarity. Do yourself, and your family, a favor- come here and support this beautiful bookstore. I even found a kids Bible written and designed like a Minecraft game! Like… what!?!? I’ll take one please! My son loves the art and theme, I love the message. They also sell Starbucks coffee, and don’t mind having visitors just… present. Call me old fashioned, but I miss the feeling of going to the bookstore as a kid and being able to visually and physically peruse the available selection. Clean, caring, coffee, books, age appropriate for ALL AGES.

I love this store for manga I get at least one manga each time I come here and its nice peaceful and quiet but near the Starbucks it can be a little bit louder than the other side of the store but it doesn't matter to me because I can read at home at night

What an amazing place, it's so terribly sad that most of the bookstores are gone but thank goodness we still have Barnes & Nobel. If you are looking for any type of book, game or magazine and you have some time to spend I highly recommend this store. A friend an I went here to get books and stopped at the inside Starbucks. We didn't have money to get anything but the worker payed for our drinks :). Also, the workers of Barnes n Nobel are extremely helpful and hard working to make sure you get the book you're looking for.

As Barnes and nobles go, this one is a good one. Nice staff, good size, and organized. Has a Starbucks in there as usual, very open and quiet place. I think it was only one story though so the selection here is smaller compare to other b&n I've been to in the past but it is still a pretty nice size and good collection. They still manage to get me to spend money no matter how many times I say I won't 😭

I'm not a fan of reading books or reading in general, but there's something about a bookstore that is relaxing. Maybe it's the smell of a bookstore, along with fresh coffee brewing in the background, or, the quiet atmosphere when there's no little kids running around and screaming? Regardless, B&N is great and the staff are friendly/helpful majority of the time. The only "slight" downfall would be the availability of some novels...this occurred on a few trips to B&N for my daughter. However, the staff is more than willing to help you out in placing the book on order. But hey, if you're not into walking in and/or placing a book on backorder, that's why you have online options right? But definitely go check out this store - very relaxing.

I just love coming into the Barnes and Noble on Rainbow to relax, get a coffee & a treat, and then to sir down and beging a new book! The employee in the Barnes and Noble cafe are always smiling and know what's new & upcoming. And two specific employees, Ashley & Andrew always have a smile on their face and seem to always go out of their way to suggest a new book that I might enjoy and what the upcoming specials are in cafe. The district manager and manager of that store should know what jem's he has in those two employees!

I have been to this Barns and Noble various times, and each time has allowed me to see how nice the staff is. I tend to see the manga selection more than the rest due to my prefrences. Throughout my times of looking for various mangas, or just volumes overall, the staff are very helpful for finding out if any are in the store. I tend to have problems talking, or just overall asking for help, when it comes to situations similar to this, but I have gotten myself use to the types of people who work here, and am able to ask them for help when it comes to finding certain volumes or just a manga overall. In most cases they will check if they have it listed on their computers as in stock, and then they will check the shelves, and lastly they will check the back. If anything is found, they will usually hand it over to you, allowing you to pay for it and get what you came for. Otherwise, they allow you to purchase from the counter for a delivery when the book is back in stock. Although there are plenty of books here to buy, they also have a selection of various toys, some being stuff animals, card games, or electronic based items. From what I have seen, they also include a dining area.

Went in for two books, came out with five. Manga section has been expanded. Store has been rearranged and looks cleaner. Aisles are bigger and support social distancing. Quiet inside, but workers are happy to help you find what you want.

It's a very great book store and I found what I wanted. The people that work there have wonderful customer service. I didn't get the young woman's name but she guided me to where I wanted to go and then she brought me over a chair because I'm handicapped and I couldn't stand there and look at the books that are on the bottom shelf so that was very much appreciated. It was great to see so many people there buying books including my granddaughters. Made me a very happy grandma.

I love a good bookstore, new, used, big, or small, and it is nice that you know Barnes & Noble will most likely have what you want. They have a Starbucks so I can usually bribe the kids to come walk around with me. It does seem a little like the staff is constantly hurried, and I wish they had more places to sit and enjoy your coffee, but is a business so I get that they want us to pick out a book and move on. :) I've never had an actual bad experience here.

Love this place. It's just really sad that they don't do dine in anymore for the coffee or allow locals to sit in the store anymore to read. I would imagine that if more people don't buy accrual books then Barnes and noble will close down and that's sad. I think audible and Amazon kindle are taking over the market with audio and online books with cheaper prices. If you love this place, start buying books again!

This place is becoming dilapidated. The inventory is very basic and bookshelves look more spare. There does seem to be an emphasis on toys and the like over quality books. This location could use an update overall and influx of fresh, quality titles to fill up the shelves.

Absolutely wonderful bookstore! I went here for a visit with some friends of mine, not only was the atmosphere quiet, peaceful, and grounded. It also was well organized, clean, and felt extraordinarily down to earth. I want to go back, I felt like I was in my own dining room with my friends and wife. It was great, truly well done. If I can ever go back, need/want a book, or just would like a quiet place to read, this is the absolute PLACE!

I love this location. They always have a wide selection and attentive staff that helps me find what I'm looking for. The cafe staff is all knowledgable and friendly as well. I frequent this Barnes and Noble at least once every two weeks and I never run out of things to enjoy. They also promote a few book clubs within the store, so that's a plus to check out if you're interested.

Barnes & Noble is an excellent book store that posts amazing sales!! Barnes & Noble is a place I uncommonly visit, but this time it blew me away. They had 20% off sale, which was incredibly helpful since I was getting some new books. A great part was that the people showed us around the store and helped us out really conveniently. Barnes & Noble also inspired one of my characters in my book series, The Anderson Files. It inspired me to make the second character a man named Charles Barnes. I appreciate the good work you have done and I wish you the best of luck.

Oh how I long for the good old days of bookstores. Half the fun of getting a new book was browsing in the store and finally having to make a selection. Barnes & Noble is one of the few left like that and their customer service is outstanding!

Service was good. My only complaint is it's not set up for handicap individuals who have problems standing or walking for long or short periods of time. No available seating. It was like this before the Covid19. The lady at information desk was kind enough to look up what I needed on the computer and go pick up the 3 books I purchased.

Barnes and Noble is always a place to sit down, grab coffee and take in the books on the shelf. Getting lost in this place for a few hours always feels like the right thing to do even if it's a slightly more expensive library. Patrons usually flock to all sections of this book store, but the staple of new and exciting titles always brings a flurry to every space available. A top notch select and personable staff always makes the experience worth the time. I love their cleanliness and while many folks use the space to study, the cafe could use more love and attention. Otherwise a lovely place to get lost in if your a book afficinado.

So pretty!! The books there are good too!! I got 2 books to learn korean and it had a cd (perf for me bc I have trouble pronouncing). I got Salior moon and a BTS book. The people there are also very nice def recommend. The thing is there are only chairs where the starbucks is but overall that's it!!

Well when it first opened it was great. Over time the lack of upkeep on the store has taken its toll. It's a big store with a good selection of books and magazines. The difference is you go to the other store on charleston and rampart and compare. The other store is not as big but has been better taken care of and causes me to prefer going there. The employees here are great. I'm not sure why there is such a big difference. Maybe it's not as profitable so there is not as much money available to keep up the store? Maybe. Also the area that the store is in is seen it's better days. The parking lot is rather dark and to make it worse I have been approached by people asking for money at least 5 times out of 30 visits. That is not the store's fault. That's due to the location. That is not a situation that I appreciate when I have my wife and children with me. I would prefer driving another 15 minutes to go to another location . I hope it doesn't remain that way.

Went there to find several books to buy but didn't know the authors names. The staff was very helpful and pleasant to interact with. They were also very knowledgeable and knew exactly what books we were referring to, even though we didn't know the complete title of the book. I would definitely go back to this particular store.

If you're trying to walk off a meal then this is a great place to browse. I love the smell of books, they have hard to find books as well. The staff, is great and very helpful. They'll actually find out what location has the book you want if they're out of it. I LOVE this store. Its always kept clean, great area. A lot of shopping in the area, so that makes utveven more convenient.. Not to mention all the yummy places to eat around there.

Pretty nice environment, despite a really limited physical media selection. People are incredibly friendly, but I wasn't acknowledged with either a "hello" or an "I'll be right with you" in a department, even though they looked right at me and me saying "hello" to them. However, they ended up being very helpful once they came to their register, so I'm assuming they may just be very quiet, shy, have a more introverted nature, be stressed out, or even a combination could have been factors. One specific manager I asked a question seemed very annoyed just by my presence, which was rather upsetting. This doesn't really reflect on the store, but a customer was loudly arguing on their phone while I was looking at books. There were plenty of employees around, and this went on for a good 10 minutes, with no one asking them to please keep it down or step outside to finish their call. It was disruptive for everyone. Due to this, I ended up leaving. Overall, these are pretty petty complaints, so I'll definitely be going back. I think it was just a bad time to be there this go-around. I'll really only reconsider going if there are consistent or worse issues in the future. One final note: as briefly mentioned, their music section is non-existent and their film section contains maybe 10 DVDs hidden on what could be called a miscellaneous shelf. If corporate could please consider finding a way to put in a slightly larger physical media section, it would be appreciated. Collectors spend a lot of money on Criterions several times throughout the year (especially during the semi-annual CC sale), as Barnes and Noble are one of the only brick and mortar outlets that carry them. There's another B&N only a bit further out that offers them, and that would be easy money from people closer to this store.

If they don't have the book you're looking for ask the staff and they'll usually call the other locations to see if they have it and you can request that they put the book on hold at that location so you can retrieve it. I was here for a friend who was having a reading and doing a book signing. I haven't been here in years,ever since it was easy to download or buy books online at amazon. The quality of service seems great as always. The store seems so empty and worn out, and now closes at 8 pm everyday. It used to have couches and comfortable chairs to sit and read until 11 pm . Now hard chairs are only in Starbucks inside with Wi-Fi of course. I don't even understand how they stay in business as a brick and mortar. They asked me if I wanted to open a membership for the discount at checkout but I assume they still charge a yearly fee to be a member. Then the price of the book is reduced but not to the level of an online purchase of hard copy. I really am so sorry to see this lovely bookstore in this condition. I would only go there now for some sort of book that I had to have that same day and not a digital edition. The only advantage is a table in front of signed copies of current popular books from popular authors at the regular price. I assume they order them because I don't see that these authors even need to travel all over.

I love bookstores, and any Barnes & Noble is a great store. Has the feeling and selection of my Canadian Indigo. Essentially as many books as a reader could want and some merchandise from fandoms and other practical merch. The staff kept checking in to make sure that I wasn't in need of help. The one time I did they quickly brought me to the right section. To sum up my trip I go in for one book and leave with about seven.

Very friendly, welcoming staff make each visit a great experience. The only cons are that sometimes the store is silent, void of music playing over the intercom, and cafe associates can be strict about serving you water in a cup, if you prefer that over the water in the public pitcher. As the only big chain book store still around (that I know of,) Barnes and Noble holds a soft spot in my heart. This location has a bit of everything for everyone. If an associate doesn't have a clue what you are talking about they have the good sense and humility to let you know and look it up on the computer, or find someone else who does know. The great communication within the staff is what makes me love this store. The only drawback is that sometimes the collectables are a bit of a mess, along with overflow stock.

The prices online are lower than in-store. If you pay for in-store pickup, I was told I could come back in seven days; the books I was holding could only be purchased now for the higher price. So the options were: highest priced books from Barnes & Noble, cheaper same books from Barnes & Noble warehouse delivered to that same Barnes & Noble seven days later, or the same books at the lowest price at your door in two days from Amazon. The employees at the store were friendly and even mentioned the in-store pickup option did not make any sense.

Books here are amazing. Many different type of comics, mangas, novels, chapter books, books for children all ages and more. There is also a section with toys for children all ages. Baby shark toys for baby's. Theres puppet reading buddies for kids available here as well. Puzzles and board games are available here as well. Funko pop figurines are available as well. There is a Starbucks located insidee. However their service is different. They don't do happy hour because they say they're not a real Starbucks. This is inside the barns and noble. So that's why I take off a star for the service in this area. Overall, Barnes and noble is great. I recommend people to go in there for their books and disregard the Starbucks inside.

Barnes and Noble was my fav place to go to. From reading to having a coffee break,it is a place for relaxing and doing your office work. However, the books are pricey but you can read them on floor or take to a cafe area to read it. Though they are not library, it something for those who need a nice place to study or doing the work online. Downside, you only can charge by the cafe. If you run out of battery of your electronics, it is too bad if cafe area are full.

Store had plenty of magazines on Digital Photography. The cashier was friendly and new alot about Photoshop, Lightroom and Adobe Bridge. She gave me helpful info about the magazines I purchased.

Always cheaper to buy online as they dont price match in the store but you can sometimes find really good bargins and being able to get you you want same day is nice. The staff is always willing to help and they are pretty knowledgable.
