This is more of a warehouse for books. The shelves were dusty, books out of place, and lots of customers with no books in hand. More customers were engaged within the café area. We had several books, but no salesperson was at the POS/checkout counter, so we left those items on the counter and walked away. I'd much rather buy from an independent bookstore where my dollar circulates in the community.

This place has a smell that I love. As soon as you enter you can feel the environment and the good vibe. Books, toys, games, magazines, cds, vinyls, coffee and more. Find your favorite book or just browse to get surprised by any other book out of the great selection. There is a section for kids. They have a coffee bar and a fee tables to enjoy your reading.

Wow. What a blast shopping there. They had Nora Roberts hard back Book 3 of the Dragon Heart Legacy the first Day it came out. So many fun toys for tots and every book you can think of . Kindles on sale and so much more. Deerbrook Mall Barnes and Noble always amazing.

A decently sized Barnes and Noble. The book selection is good, although it is not the biggest. I do think the toy section is a little too big, but that’s just a personal thought of mine. When I went in today I noticed the cafe closed earlier than the actual store; this isn’t a problem but just a head ups, I guess. Overall it’s a pretty decent Barns and Nobies with a pretty good selection for all types of books.

But it was this guy walking around acting suspicious and looking at my five yr daughter. I'm watching him and he was stealing figures from the kid books and toys. Absolutely love it here. My most recent visit was on the tax-free holiday, so to escape the crowd and noise of the mall while my wife shopped clothing, I spent a good few hours browsing. Plenty of books, toys, games, and multi media to sift through and enjoy. I spent a good hour and a half just going through the graphic novel area. Also, whoever had the idea of dedicating a small section to Linkin Park, thank you. The LP/Chris Cornell area made me so happy to see. I came a few weeks ago looking for the first 3 LP studio albums (I owned copies of the rest but never had CD versions of the first 3). I was searching and searching through the CDs when I finally noticed there was a spot dedicated to them. Wish I didn't wait so long to buy them but the time was way past due. And several weeks later I come back and now they're stocking more of the later CDs along with the first few. Way to pay tribute!!!!

Searching for specific books for baby shower gift. 1st clerk I asked for help directed me to the correct section. I couldn't find 1 of the books. The next clerk, I wish I knew her name, was older & she came & helped look for the book. After looking in 2 different areas, she went & found the book "in the back". It's a basic Barnes and Noble. Not grand, but it has what all B&N stores have on their shelves including a Starbucks. Keep in mind, these Starbucks don't accept the same coupons/ provide rewards like the free standing Starbucks. They wouldn't let me get my free birthday drink. They did have 50% off some of the bakery items and the free standing Starbucks did not.

Always a cozy, relaxing experience with my family from children to grandparents. When I was a single mom I would take my children for a hot cocoa and to read books 📚, the children's section is so inviting and I love the brain games, toys and selections available. We have always had great customer service and at least visit 3 times a year more so in the holiday season.

My 3 star rating is based on customer service from Melanie I. I LOVE going to Barnes & Noble I take my children (4 & 5 year olds) to buy a book often especially during this pandemic to keep their young minds stimulated. The store is great, it's clean and most employees are welcoming and helpful. Melanie seemed bothered to help us and when ringing me up she didn't greet us. She didn't ask us if we had a membership or if my kids were in the kids club. When asking her questions about store hours and books again she seemed bothered. Yet when another young woman coworker came next to her to talk she was very involved in hearing when her coworker would be working and the latest work "discussions" I would recommend customer service training especially when little children are excited to read and happy about their book choice. 📖 it doesn't take much to put on friendly tone/smile.

An experience. As one of the few bookstores out there in 2022, and probably the last national chain, B&N delivers on a list experience more than anything. It is a nice, clean, mostly organized retail outlet that offers a comfortable environment comparable to a library. Things here are a bit pricey in an online, low overhead world. However there isn't an online shopping experience like what you get when you peruse the aisles of a well sorted brick-and-mortar location. I would recommend B&N as a place to go and spend some time if you like books, peace and quiet, and maybe even coffee.

It's a pretty great place! They've got books, records, CDs, DVDs, puzzles, novelty items, and even a Starbucks. The people there are pretty friendly too- I think I got asked if I needed any help three different times. Which was cool. They also don't hound you for a Barnes and Nobles card, which is appreciated. Thanks, Alexis. The manga section always seems to be missing book one of every series, though...not a store problem, though. Also, If you're looking for horror books at the moment, the selection seems sort of small right now- about two shelves for all the authors! Stephen King took up about 50% of it. 😅 Overall, very satisfied with my haul of Akira volume one, The Long Walk, and Cells at Work Baby.

Thus, it was with pleasure and emotion that I rediscovered this peaceful and testy place, paradise of knowledge after many years of absence. The smell of books and coffee remained intact.

I love visiting this location as it is very close to home! They have a great selection of manga and it seems I find something wonderful every time I visit. I always leave with at least one volume, or maybe even ten volumes on an excellent new release week. I also have enjoyed talking to the sweet staff members working the register lately - a lot of them are also manga/anime fans and I love discussing a series for a minute or two while checking out.

Hey all you people, Hey all you people, Hey all you people will you listen to meeeee~~~ Okay, now that I have your attention let's get down to why this is a 5 star bookstore. :) Do you want to go to a bookstore with an amazing selection of literature that you "literally" won't know where to begin?! Do you start at the beginning and peruse the magazines? Or is that the end? Who knows?! All I know is I got lost. Not because it wasn't easy to navigate, trust me it would be very hard to get lost with all the signage letting you know exactly where you're at, at all times. I got lost throughout this wonderful place of wonderment by simply letting my curiosity carry me passed pages and shelves because I was like a dog in a park where there were squirrels everywhere! And that's just the content! Of course a bookstore, especially a big chain such as Barnes & Nobles is going to have a huge selection of anything and errrthang. But the customer service was spot on! As soon as my girlfriend and I walked in we were greeted, from behind the counter, with a "Welcome to Barnes & Nobles!" As our feet followed our gazes, we were met with such a friendly and inviting floor rep that was more than happy to share their love for literature. Pointing us in the right direction, informing us on niche nooks and guiding our interests to new horizons. The freedom! Don't get me started on how long we actually stayed there. Oh my Lord. I thought that they would kick us out for reading the books too long but the floor reps passed by us while we were sprawled out, books all around us and sharing books with each other that we thought were interesting. I felt like a kid at a school library with his friends and not a care in the world but the world's I wanted to dive into. We read, perused, and ultimately made decisions to buy the books that survived our grueling survivor series. Yeah, of course the experience we had was great because we went there with positive attitudes, inviting persona and childlike wonder that's hard to come by. But if we treated every encounter through the eyes of children ANY place can become a beacon of excitement and adventure. A book store, such as this, that does it's job right can only add to that great memory! I wholeheartedly recommend this specific Barnes & Nobles due to the staff's apparent and obvious love of their career, the inviting atmosphere that promotes exploration and discovery, and the mere fact that this place let's you be you! Whether that be the child inside you that loves a great story, or the business person who needs a how-to furthering their career, even the mom who needs their kids to run wild while they enjoy a coffee and a romance novel involving a long haired stud named Esteban. Spicy 10 out of 10 would get lost again.

Barnes and Noble is a nice store. Great selection of books and misc other stuff. Staff is pretty friendly. No complaints on the store itself. As far as the Starbucks aka Barnes and Noble Cafe, we usually go here every time we are visiting. Sometimes twice while wandering the mall. The biggest complaint I have is for the lady with the long blonde hair. The younger staff has always been super friendly and helpful. They have cheerful attitudes and are compassionate when it comes to any allergy issues (example milk allergy). They were very caring and careful about which ones of my group could have whipped topping, which parts had possible milk etc. It was very much appreciated. Then we got the blonde lady making our stuff two different times and she was the exact opposite. Very rude, closed off attitude. You know how you can tell someone is miserable being there and they don't even try to fake being pleasant...yeah. That is exactly how I'd describe her. Again, normally they are super careful and caring regarding milk allergies. This lady was downright rude about it. When I tried to stop her from adding something on mine that I had previously been told had a milk ingredient she talked to me as if I was stupid. When I politely mentioned it might have milk, she responded with a very ego-ish "ok" and shoved the drink onto the counter then walked off. I wasn't being rude in any way either. I try to always be respectful. While waiting for our drinks, I witnessed her making other drinks as well. Same attitude. Idk if she really cleaned out the containers very well in between either. Very half-a**ed attitude and if this is the manager, I'd really recommend upper management check in. Secret shoppers when she's on the clock. It honestly tainted the location, sadly. Other than her (multiple different times), the location and staff are great. The younger staff should really be acknowledged for how compassionate they are!!

It is comfortable and conducive to relaxed browsing and reading. Access to coffee and snacks helps you feel at home even if you don't indulge. The smells are wonderful.

Although I enjoy finding bargains at used bookstores, B&N has an excellent selection of books, music, and other novelty items. The store is clean, well organized, and the staff is friendly and helpful. My store membership has payed itself off and saved me money on my purchases. Another small perk is I often get a coupon with my receipt to use at the in store Coffee shop. My day is better with books and coffee!

What I don't like is they put all the shopping baskets on the mall entrance side of the store. That is just not good customer service if I'm coming from the parking lot entrance I have to walk all the way through the store to the mall entrance and then walk back to the parking lot entrance to the magazines which is buy the parking lot entrance. This I was told was a decision made by the head office. Which leads me to know that they are not thinking about the customer shopping experience. The good thing was that the Magazines were buy 1 get 1 half off and that's the only reason for the for 5 stars. Otherwise I would give them a 2 because of the shopping baskets.

This is a great location, staff is really nice, helpful, and friendly. There is a lot of great books, selections in relation to the size of the store, which is nice. Everything is within reach in the store and they keep up with trends and what's popular at the moment. Last time I went they have Harry Potter theme displayed items from books to wands. I am Harry Potter fan so that was a nice touch. I called to see if they had a book I wanted to purchase, even though I was put on hold for 40 minutes, which is understandable since they usually are busy. The clerk reserved the book I wanted and I just had to walk inside and pick it. It was nice and simple process.

Tons of books. The young readers section is amazing and the knowledge of the associates is pretty good. The only reason why I didn't give it that last star is because the restroom is gross. The size of thw restroom doesn't match the amount of traffic that it gets due to the Starbucks being located within the book store.

There is the classic selection of books to cover all tastes and interests but this store also offers different media. There's a great music section with DVDs and an assortment of board games, puzzles and other collectibles. The staff helped point me in direction of what I was looking for and we're generally pleasant. I enjoy being in a Barnes & Noble because I love books and reading, but this store may be the best one I've ever visited!

In this computers, tablets and smartphones, good bookstores are few and far between. This is a clean, spacious and well organized bookstore with excellent customer service. They have a large selection of books, magazines, puzzles, etc. If they don't have what you want, they can order it for you I really like the Starbucks coffee bar in ths store.

It's an addiction, I need help! I feel like a junkie in Barnes & Noble. And good Lord help me, they are expensive. But, you want it, they have it. They are always there, like a temptress, with all of their beautiful, shining, fresh smelling books. And they have chairs and places to sit, so you can sit down and get a little taste. That's how they trap you, and draw you into their web. And before long, your reading, expanding your vocabulary skills and knowledge. At that point, your hooked. Yeah, you may try other dealers, but the class and shine of Barnes & Noble always draws you back. They have Starbucks in some, BUT, they DON'T TAKE the Starbucks Card. So, for the Starbucks connoisseur, it's no real draw. You go in, get your fix of fresh book smell, the shine and beauty of endless possibilities, then purchase your books and walk away from the pretenders at the fake Starbucks.

I preordered a new book a month in advance and very excitedly came in to pick up my copy the day it was released. I was told they didn't have a copy for me, even though the employee confirmed my name was on the list to get one. I left very disappointed, but went around the corner to Half Price Books - they had plenty of copies and I paid the same price. Not sure what the point of preordering the book is if they can't deliver.

I only give three stars due to the sad selection in the children’s department, a lot of the classic books like Madeline series, If you give a mouse a cookie, Eloise, Chris Van Allsburg books, KY. Craft books, ect. aren’t there, I just wish they had more of the classics we grew up with instead of the same couple of shelves with the same books. And when you ask about why the selection is so small for classics the response is oh just buy them on the website... OK than I’ll just go buy it off amazon for a few dollars cheaper, free shipping, and have it within a day. The point of me going into the store is to be able to get it that day and to try and support Barnes and Noble as a book lover myself but the past few years BN has been going downhill and just never seems to have books you want which sucks. I honestly would have given less stars but the cashiers at the front and cafe were very nice and the store was clean so I figured I’d award you for that at least.

Its worth the yearly fee. 40% on hardcover, 10% on everything else and free shipping. Ive been to many barnes and noble stores all over the states. This particular store is no different from any other store. Clean and organized, friendly and helpful employees. For the poster who says that the books are overpriced, your not very bright. All books are prepriced and are marked on the cover from the printer. There is a price for both the US and Canada either on the outside of the back cover or somewhere on the inside. Barnes and noble as well as all new book stores do not set a starting price. So if you find a book cheaper at another store it is because that store has it on sale. I will admit, ive bought books at b&n, borders, walden books, hastings and books a million. I will visit any one of those stores with no second thought. A new book store is a new book store. They all carry pretty much the inventory and are priced the same unless a certain book is on sale. If the book isnt in stock, you can order it and have it sent to the store or have it delivered to an address of your choosing. They all have their own membership and ive been a member to all of them. So those who give bad reviews havent been to other new book stores to compare. Granted b&n is the only new book store here in the houston area so it is hard to compare.....
