This is a wonderful bookstore! There are new and used (I think?) books in lots of topics. Religion, occult, contemporary issues, philosophy, etc. I was looking for books on lucid dreaming and there were lots on that as well as on dream interpretation. Lots of religions represented here too. And the crystals, fossils, and gems - omg what a beautiful selection! They're not all hidden away behind glass too. You can touch them, pick them up, feel their weight. I wish I had a million dollars so I could buy everything! The employees are really nice too. Overall, a great store and a great experience!

I have been looking forward to visiting this store for a year and a half, and I was absolutely amazed by the diversity and quality of these books. This is a fantastic store for anyone interested in building a collection. The service here was wonderful, and the books will go beyond your expectations. If you are hesitant to go, I would urge you to go see this store; it is a brilliant place for education. On a scale of 1 to 10, the Seven Stars bookstore is above 10 out of 10. This store, true to its name, deserves more than 5 stars. For anyone curious, this store also has a variety of crystals and sage. I am deeply impressed, and you will surely love this place.

One of my favorite haunts in Cambridge. I have been a client for over 15 years. The owner and staff are friendly and helpful. A large variety of various crystals, books and other essentials. You meet the most interesting people @ Seven Stars. I noticed that if the book I am looking for is not in the store if I sit around long enough it ends up showing up the same day (give or take a hour or so). You could also ask the wonderful staff at Seven Stars to also order the items you are looking for. Blessings to all!

My favorite place for all things spiritual. They have the biggest selection of crystals I’ve seen at a spiritual store(tumbled and raw). They also have bracelets and pendulums!Their book selection is also incredible! You’ll find almost any book here you may need for your journey. They also have incense and a small selection of sage! They have a wall of both tarot and oracle too which is my favorite! I get all my spiritual materials from here and i love every one of them. The owner is also super friendly and welcoming. Hands down the best spiritual shop in the Boston Area.

A treasure trove of new age, mystical and spiritual texts coupled with an amazing collections of crystals and stones. Time and time again I’ve been able to quite easily find rare books here - and if not, the staff has always been able to track them down for me. Knowledgeable and personable, the staff is the best. I’ve curiously been leaping from subject to subject for years now and have an immense amount of gratitude for Seven Stars helping to fuel the journey.

Ive been to just about every bookstore in Massachusetts and can say pretty confidently Seven Stars is the best. In my opinion its not even close. The owner is a true book lover and has a deep deep knowledge and collection. If you want an obscure treatise from a 14th century Sufi Master, or if you want the complete Shobogenzo, or if you want a rare commentary on the Nag Hammadi library, or if you want the work of a German Idealist, or an 18th century magician like Elphias levi, and so on and so on, theres realy no better place then seven stars. Its a treasure trove. Ive probably spent over a thousand dollars there over the years and am addicted. I work in the area and literally cant stop myself from going in. Im in there maybe three times a week

My favorite bookstore. They have an enormous collection of books on spirituality, philosophy, personal development, religion and Eastern philosophies. They also have some crystals and jewelry. Would definitely go back!

Such a great little shop with lots of books, tarot cards, and gemstones. I really enjoyed looking at everything and picking out a few gifts for my nieces. I tried not to buy a bunch of books for myself as well, but it was difficult. The staff was friendly, and very helpful with recommendations.

so many crystals, so much variety. i am from chicago and the prices are way better here! i got red quartz, botswana agate, sardonyx, pink tourmaline and lepidolite for only 16 dollars. Here, one lepidolite is like 8 dollars, so its good this place has good prices.

I am grateful that we have an occult store that sells crystals at all in Cambridge. Great! Selection of books and such. Crystals can be a little pricey and you definitely may get a lower price by a certified online/etsy seller. Still number 1!

Safe store if you're concerned about COVID. Fantastically large, diverse, and well-organized selection of books on spirituality, religion, and other subjects. Helpful staff. Genuine moldavite and other crystals from the typical to the more uncommon. Pricing is as expected, no complaints. I bring all my spiritual friends here first. There are some cleansing herbs on offer, but this is not a shop for herbs, incense, or apothecary supplies. Crystals, trinkets, bracelets, and books aplenty.

Lots and lots of books on all kinds of subjects. Can't leave without buying two or three! And if you're looking for crystals you've found a good place! They can be expensive but you're paying for good quality stones and very educated and helpful employees. Compared to other crystal shops I've been to this is by far my favourite because of the easy laid back atmosphere and good selection.

Came here to pick up some crystals and stones, but also found a book that I really enjoyed. The staff are VERY knowledgeable about the crystals and stones they have to offer and are quite friendly so feel free to approach them with any questions! They carry a good variety of books, including new releases (and no, they aren't all self-help or spiritual related). If you're interested in books by a particular author, ask the staff and most of the time they'll be able to tell you by memory alone if they have any books by them! There are a few chairs where you can sit and read as well, which is nice. Truly a hidden gem in Central Square - check it out!

Mineral samples and polished gem/minerals as good at least for what I seek as any ritzy places in region. A lot of metaphysical books, tarot sort of stuff...not my reason for going so I can't speak to that side of things. Friendly staff, easy going. Store routinely has steady flow of customers. Parking for cars nearby...that can be a challenge. Update: my repeat experiences are consistent. Knowledgeable, ok...not extroverts but friendly and helpful. I can't believe I took so long living in the area to visit.

Such a cool store! I had trouble finding parking so i got there just before closing time, the owner was so nice he let me stay about 20 mins late and Still wasnt rushing me and helped me find what i was looking for! This is THE PLACE TO GO for anything Occult, Esoteric, New Age, Conspiracy, Crowley books, it is sensory overload on steroids in there! :) I wish i could live inside that store and soak up all the knowledge of every book they have! You will love it and i guarantee they will have what you're looking for!

Randomly discovered this place, was looking for crystals/stones. They have that ( quality stuff ) + an INCREDIBLE selection of books ( can’t find half of them on AMZN ). Astrology / Conspiracy / Stones|Crystals / UFOs / Channeling|Angels / Sacred Geometry / Lemuria|Atlantis / etcetc. Owner is super knowleadgeable and atmosphere is relaxxxed. If you into any of the above, this is where you have to go_

Not sure of another place like it in the general area. So many interesting books on spirituality, cosmic science, mystical things, and more that I'm not even familiar. Also a great spot for precious stones and gems. I also have purchased things like mala beads, singing bowls, tarot cards, incense, and posters here. Staff is very knowledgeable. I've seen other reviews where the staff was criticized for not being friendly but they are not mean at all. Just not as bubbly I would say. I try to visit whenever I am in the area.

New Age Bookstore + crystals. They have a wide assortment of stones. The prices up until 2018 were by far the best in the area, but they went up to match some of the other crystal stores, like "The Village Silver Smith", which has many stores in the greater Boston area. But I prefer Seven Stars - it's privately owned and has been in Cambridge/Boston for a long time, and is probably still less expensive than the others.

This place has by far the largest Buddhist book collection in English I've seen as a store, ranging from general introduction, real life applications, to Tibetan Buddhism (there are quite a few) and Zen. Was also quite touching when the staff thanked me for spending time in it.

There is NOTHING LIKE IT in the area, and very few of these places left anymore. Seven Stars remains successful for a reason and was always King of the old-school "new age bookstores" that were so popular years ago. I've known Stuart for about 30 years, going back to the older shop on JFK street in Harvard. To our friends that hung out in this place, the others are/were merely cheap imitations! If you're fortunate enough to spend time in there you'll likely feel the energy and know this is not just a book store. If you have no interest in Occult research, expanding awareness, Religious studies, esoteric & UFOs (to name a few) you may not "get-it" but you'll still likely find something worthy of your curiosity. I'll reiterate; there IS NO other place like it. This shop is an iconic landmark of the human depth that's missing from our modern technological culture, and is a true blessing to the community.

Amazing selection, they also have their entire collection cataloged making it easy to ask if they have something used or new. The staff here is so helpful. The younger guy who works there is knowledgeable, funny and all around great to deal with. He’s the main reason I keep going back.
