Comic-azi was an amazing shop. They seem to have a huge inventory of anything a collector might want, comics, toys, cards, games, there is something for everyone. I was there for comics but spent time looking at their toy collection as well. The prices seemed to be in line with the current market place. The staff was very nice and super helpful. There was parking near by which made the visit easy. I look forward to being in the area again so I can visit and explore the shop a bit more.

Comicazi is a fantastic store with a great selection of single Issue comics, graphic novels and trade paperbacks. They also have a wide variety of toys, board games and various card games. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. It's in a great location in Davis Square, which means depending on what time you're visiting parking can require some patience.

This place is a home run. Massive selection of comics, graphic novels and other merchandise. The staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming as well as knowledgeable on their products. If I could give this place 6 stars I would. I made a purchase here a couple weeks back and this place truly impressed me. Comicazi has earned my business for all future purchases.

Best comic store in the Boston area. Literally the only shop around that gives any kind of attention to comics that came out before 2010. Staff is kind and helpful, they knew about the weird old titles I was looking for and were able to make great recommendations. Easy to get to with the T, the inventory rotates regularly, they have great deals on old issues. Don’t know what else you could want from a comic store. Newburry is dead to me

It is hard to find a better place for comics in Cambridge/Boston. A huge collection of comics (buy and sell them), figurines, themed toys and such. Great staff significant collection of Star Wars and Star Trek material. Daily activities. Must go if you like comics.

I went yesterday very briefly, I loved the store! I did notice some of the staff didn’t talk to me or greet me, even as I was looking at the locked cases. I’m short and I believe they thought I was a kid, that’s why I knocked off 1 star. They have an amazing collection of anything from comic books to Buffy the Vampire Slater toys! I’m excited to go back when I have more time to really look.

Really cool comic store in Davis Square. They have a TON of old, retro action figures and plushies, too, which is pretty rad to check out. The prices seemed fair and the staff were awesome! I'll definitely swing by again the next time I'm in town.

Great store, awesome selection, extremely kind and accommodating staff. Brought my 7 year old in with his allowance to get some Pokemon cards and they figured out how to get him enough to play with his friends, with the limited funds he'd collected. Even explained the basics of deckbuilding to us new players. Great place to hang out and shop.

This is an amazing playground for adults and kids. Especially for the collectors and imaginative of us. The owner and staff are eager to help. It's impressive how knowledgeable everyone is within this wide ranged genre. If any store deserves five stars, it is this one. There aren't many like this! especially in the area. It is minute walk from Davis Square t station.(red line) . Directly on Highland Ave. The name of the store is kind of misleading, although they are notorious for selling comics. But they go above and beyond. To grave the surface -collectible toys,figures, a treasure of random Goods in the front, popular games, Marvel items and so much more. When I plan to go in for a quick visit, I instead get lost for hours,despite the store being as small/large (perception) as I'd say half of a football field. Two sections and a back area would be sufficient to say. The most random Treasures ever and I believe they have a game playing night for role playing storytelling games. I surprised myself by getting into this just recently and wishing I had friends to play with. LOL but I was happy to know that I have sources in my area to explore this avenue.:)

Recently moved to this part of town and stumbled upon this awesome comic store. As one of the long-time patrons told me, “this place is dangerous!” The amount of action figures, comic books, action figures and toys for all ages, including vintage stuff, is positively overwhelming. The staff is knowledgeable, friendly, and happy to give an introductory tour. As someone relatively new to the comic culture, I feel like I’ve just discovered a magical treasure cave. Will be returning for more!

Great cute area filled with figures/toys to collect. Sells yugioh, pokemon, magic and even more trading cards. Has a decent collection on manga but has a really good one on comics. I just wish the store was a tad bigger so the stuff could be organized better with how jam pack It Is.

Friendly staff with a great knowledge of their inventory. The comic book selection is vast and deep, with both premium boarded/bagged comic and $2 issues. The trade paper back collections are plenty and generally complete. While I don't collect figurines and other memorabilia, their cases lol full and well organized. They have a small collection of board games. They carry citadel paints and various miniatures.

Wow talk about a blast from the past. They had so many of the toys and things I had as a child it was actually a bit overwhelming. What a great shop, I can’t wait to show some of my friends and family this place. This place has so many back issues that I was happy to find some cool stuff. Prices were decent. Got manga for the kids, too. Huge toy and action figure stock. I don't collect them but there was a big back room devoted to it. Staff were friendly, too! Totally recommend!

Great Store loved going there for years until a few bad experiences. Hopefully the extremely condescending guy with the english accent doesnt work there anymore. Nothing worse then buying the comics you like and being made to feel small about the dorky stuff you love. Bringing my son there in a few months to buy his first comics. I just hope the stores changed and isnt like that anymore

Comicazi is a great blend of old-school comic and hobby shop. They have a great selection of comics, books, games and other interesting collectibles. They also run some fun events throughout the week. The owner also seems to be a pretty good guy, very friendly and welcoming. They also do a really good job here of feeling accessible to both the serious collectors and gamers as well as the random person who wanders in with no knowledge of anything. Overall my favorite comic and game shop.

This is a really cool comic store. The selection is massive and the toys/miniatures they had for sale stabbed me right in the nostalgia bone. It's the kind of place you go into and could get lost in for a few hours. I got a few comics I've been hunting for at very reasonable price points. 10/10, keep up the awesome job.

Knowledgeable, friendly staff, and the big thing for me was: they've got an extensive collection of toys, as well as other choice collectable items, and they're both in display, and also reasonably priced, in my opinion. Great store, definitely recommend the experience to anyone who's interested in that media at all!

Went for a comic book signing that was hosted and organized very well given a huge turnout. The store itself has lots of memorabilia, figures, and comic book related gear. Of course they have a great comics selection too! Staff are very nice.

This place is amazing! Besides the comics, it has a huge selectionold toys, almost every one I can remember from my childhood and from my kids growing up. They should almost charge a museum fee for the nostalgia of walking around and having a look, but I guess I'm glad they don't. I just hope places like this survive the Amazon area because there really is nothing else like it.

They want to see some very stuffed and everybody is very informative and answers questions that any of us customers have without feeling like we're bothering them which is always a major plus to me. I will admit, I'm not much into comics or action figures, but mainly go for the Friday night MTG. Every week is a new and exciting experience. The store was constantly crowded, but now with the new expansion it has a lot more space to breath. The staff are absolutly wonderful. On two separate occasions I've used my saved up pocket change to pay for items, and they have no problem with it. Love this place

The staff is very friendly, the clientele is quality, and the variety of available merch is excellent. Theres tons of toys, games, as well as comics, and the regular events held there bring a lot of life. Sometimes the comic stock can be slightly lacking, as so much space is given to non comic stuff, but they're very happy to order things from elsewhere, and the staff is knowledgeable if you need recommendations or good conversation. I like the place a lot and go regularly.

Fantastic store. I was looking for the original teenage mutant ninja turtle toys from when I was a kid to give to my kids as they are big turtle fans. They had more than I was expecting for great prices and in excellent shape and condition. It brought back some awesome memories and watching my kids play with them now makes me even happier. I would recommend thos store to anyone. They have everything from the turtles to GI Joe, to Transformers, etc. If you are looking for that nostalgia feeling, go down and see them.

They are open during Covid and taking necessary precautions for everyone's safety. I went here with my wife to browse and ended up loving it here. They have a great selection of comics, games, collectibles, and random stuff for most comic/anime fans. The staff was friendly, knowledgeable and willing to help with any questions we had. If you're looking for a place to go for comics and collectibles, Comicazi is definitely worth a visit. The only issue we had was finding parking. We ended up parking way down the street and around the corner. But hey, it is Boston and you know, gotta get those steps in.

I dabble in comics, video games, and board games, remember fondly my childhood GI Joes and Transformers, but I'm not able to rattle off any kind of knowledge about any of those things. A nice quiet feel to it, at least thats how it felt when I went. The cashiers and managers are very knowledgeable of the inventory they sell so don't be shy about asking questions. For kids they give out free comics (or so the sign says). They hold many magic events every week here but I don't recall off the top of my head when exactly. Though I do know they draft on Monday nights!

These guys are a great local comic and board game retailer. Always have fun events going on every other night or so. It's always great to pop in and see what they've got in stock or going on when wandering about Davis. Their recent expansion has given them a lot of room to work with. Definitely check it out.

The only thing stoppig me from giving 5 stars is that every Saturday, half the store is blocked off from shopping so they can hold a weird standup thing in the back. It seems strange to use a busy shopping day to cut off half of your product from purchase. It has definitely prevented a lot of business.

This is a community hub for comics enthusiasts, gamers, local artists and people just looking for a fun, intelligent atmosphere. Their weekly event schedule includes a variety of top-notch comedy, open gaming, and the occasional trivia event or bring-your-own-sketchbook drawing night. The staff are all friendly and super-helpful for fans of all ages and interests, and their selection of toys, action figures and games is almost as huge as their selection of comics. It's just an all-around awesome place to hang out, whether you need that new issue of Spidey or not.

They also work hard to be a social center for Somerville geek community: they host game nights, book clubs, discussion groups, Magic and Pokemon tournaments, etc. There's always something cool happening at Comicazi.

It's pretty rare that I go into a store and my jaw drops continuously every time I look in a new direction, but that's exactly what happened here. I consider myself knowledgeable enough about what is considered "rare" in certain corners of the universe and boy, did they have all of those and plenty more. From vintage Hanna Barbera to a Gromit stuffed animal (I bought it, sorry) to every Star Wars vehicle to many different shapes and sizes of Totoro, I was finding it hard to remember everything I might want because a new thing would pop up around the next aisle. Just to clarify, my eyes were mainly set on action figures and memorabilia, I didn't really go in there to look at comics, which looked thorough as well from a distance. Finally, the layout of the store was all a collector can ask for...There was room to stroll and room to dig around; things were packed into Glass cases but in a way that made one gasp in awe because it wasn't disorganized, it just showed off how much they had. Whoever organized the layout of the store, hats off to you. Great prices, helpful staff, I'll be back I'm sure and leave a little poorer but content

My kid LOVES to play in the friendly, weekly MTG (Magic, the Gathering) tournaments they host there. There's plenty of cool merch there, too - Sure there's cards and related must-haves: MTG, Pokemon, and whatever else one might be seeking; as well as comics and figurines (frm Batman to Star Wars & beyond), board & other games. What's more, they've got it all - from new to vintage, tiny to XL... Filling at least 4+ rooms, this is a collector's dream as well as most anything a kid (or his/her dad) might want!

I live in NH, but went yo Boston yo see some fights and stopped at this place on my way back home! Boy am I ever glad I did!!!! One of the coolest, best comic book stores I've ever walked into. I mean big store, huge variety of comics and oh, oh the toys! I mean largest variety EVER of action figure and retro toys I've ever seen! They had some toys from the early 70's that I had as a kid that I've never seen anywhere but maybe Ebay. Their prices were great too. Very reasonable. Gonna make an effort to go there again shortlu, for me it's worth the drive south! Wish I had a store like this in my neck of the woods, nobody even close.

They don't make comics stores like this anymore. It's not That's Entertainment, but it's got some of the same vibe. They buy and sell collectible old toys as well as comics. They will buy at a half decent price. It's pretty laid back overall. They really know their comics, unlike what you might find at a Newbury Comics.

They have a wide selection of new and previously owned collectables. It's packed to the gills and worth stopping by if your are a fan or anything comic and toy collectables. Recently expanded they were very friendly. While they don't have a large selection of large busts and sculptures they have some rare finds and if you're looking for something this is a place to check. Get ready to geek out.

If your in your mid to late 20s this is as close as you can get to walking into a toy store from your youth (and yes I've been to plenty of comic shops/vintage toy stores before). As half owner of the Brad Squared collection of comics I found this store to be packed with gems from the comic ages as well as toys and related collectible items. Mike and his Staff are Super in their knowledge of the genre as well as a lot of fun to interact with. This is a must not miss place, not just for geeks.

We went on a mini getaway for the weekend, and found this shop in a comic search. We put in for an hour on the meter, thinking maybe a 20min stop, but as that hour neared I rushed to add more time. The staff wasn’t pushy or rude like many comic shops I’ve visited, were you are made to feel stupid for not having their level of knowledge. They readily answered questions, were helpful and even shared some of their plans for the shop design. I should mention, they have a great flow to their store too. Doing their best to match collectibles to simular interests, flowing He-man to Thundercats, with other less remembered 80s lines into Godzilla and Kaiju and so on. Anything you can think of, somethings you wouldn’t expect, and stuff you may have forgot, it would be easier to say what they don’t have. There was a moment when my mind shut down, in awe of the selection. The way they display the loose star ships was like looking at a size comparison chart. Found a ship/droid I was looking for, and for a great price. (A Vulture Droid with firing missles and fully transforms, if any are curious) Also found a Cheetara figure from the short lived newer Thundercats that was a fraction of the cost that I have seen anywhere online! Few comic shops have impressed me so quickly, and so throughly. I wish I lived closer, but then I would be forever broke. It was a nice last stop in our getaway, and hope to go again soon. I didn’t even touch the comic selection, I wonder what treasures await.

Boston's got a pretty strong comics scene for a city of its size, both in terms of fans and creators. There's certainly no dearth of stores, and the competition is serious, with old school dens like Million Year Picnic and and cleancut small spaces like Comicopia. For my money, Comicazi is the best of Boston. Super helpful, passionate friendly staff, great organization of space. They might not have the best back issue boxes (see million year for that) but they're amazing for statues. Great shop.

I went to Comicazi for the My Brother My Brother and Me tv show Seeso premier, hosted by the Boston Max Fun group. It was awesome. If you need a smaller space for any sort of event that is even only slightly nerdy, I highly recommend this place. The shelves were just packed with awesomeness. Every time I turned my head I saw something crazy cool. They had a tv and a few chairs set up to watch the MBMBaM episodes in the back room. It wasn't a huge room, but I think that made it better. Made it more intimate and close. The people there were all really cool, and the staff was just awesome. They were very accommodating, especially because it was a last minute event.

The manga section, however,is almost non existent.It's barely a quarter of a shelf. They have the popular ones, however if you're looking specifically for manga best look elsewhere. If you're a figure collector however this place should be heaven. Plus it doesn't hurt to know that CAPTAIN FREAKING AMERICA( Yes I definitely mean Chris Evans!! ) himself set up a Punk'ed style quest on unsuspected customers a while back!! So you'll be walking on sacred ground.
