Visited this store after we played putt-putt. Very large store with a large variety of books, magazines and other items for sale. There is a coffee shop with tables and chairs. There were large signs to help you find whatever kind of book you might be interested in.

A book store, not Amazon, but a unique experience for the times. Ok, seriously; big stock of books, games and associated items. Stuff for all ages and all genre. If you haven't been or are looking for something to do or a gift idea; it worth a stop. Found a couple items while there. Pretty big selection of used movies on DVD and BluRay. And a selection of used CDs as well. We never walk out without buying something.

I miss having a Books-a-Million in our town. I have fond memories of it being a hangout for kids playing Magic the Gathering and such. These days I prefer local independent bookstores though. That said, this Books-a-Million is in a mall and lacks any neighborhood ambience. Their selection is decent, but weirdly limited for such a big store. I mean, they have a lot, but it's mostly the same books you'd see most anywhere. My best finds came from their bargain, clearance section.

With brick and mortar book stores going extinct, it's nice to still have a place you can go peruse books and collectibles. It kinda feels like a throwback to the 90's or 00's but in the best way. They have a great selection here. This location is huge with a large variety.

Amazing experience . Finally located a book I've been wanting ! The staff was very knowledgeable and helpful and operated as a team to help me . I was advised of their membership program and look forward to joining in the near future and keep the enjoyment of reading books passed through the generations to follow me . I love to come here all the times, it's like you enter on another dimension like a book city, once inside the store you can check books from all kinds, they have a coffee shop that is good and customer service is great as well.

I really like this book store, back home in California I never saw any brick and mortar BAM locations but would shop a lot on their site. Unfortunately they didn't have the exact book I wanted but at the same time it was limited edition and came out a while ago so it was unlikely to begin with. I did however find a different t book I have been looking for so I still count my visit as a win. The store itself is huge and the staff were helpful when it cam to trying to locate certain titles. (Also if you're into D&D they have a really cool section dedicated to the game there!)

Nice store, with lots of "fun" items, other than books, good atmosphere, with a place for Coffee. However, their Computer-books section has been significantly downsized to a little nook in the farthest corner of the store, as if they are averse to computer stuff, and sadly offering X-For-Dummies titles primarily.

So glad there is a bookstore close by. This place has a lot of space and uses it, wide assortment of magazines and books. Magazines are kinda like a very old ipad format, check it out.

I miss Barnes & Noble and going to big bookstores sometimes. So when I'm feeling low, I like to go to a big bookstore like this one. This store has a good variety and the place is well cleaned and organized. It's a fun area to browse. I owned a bookstore for years and I know how hard it is to keep a store like this in order. They do a good job.

Great selections and great prices. This store definitely caters to the mall shopper and you can find more than books. Puzzles, games and collectibles. Great coffee shop as a side note. Relaxed staff who will be glad to help you hunt down the next good read.

Always great service the customer service ate always great. Never once i ran into somebody that wasn't helpful. I don't know what the starting play rate is but they definitely need to get pay more and people should bring in their babies to reach the children out to read more books. The prince are great and they have many choice to pick from. Don't forget to take a look around by the cashier area for some treats or some great bookmarks and lights

Really appreciate the staff helping when your lost, but giving space when your browsing. Love the more cultural options that are being added for the little ones. They do not put their clearance books all in one sections so really look because the title you are looking for may have been returned and on clearance.

I have been visit here more than 14 years so far and very glad that they still exist. So many book store closed down since digital media invaded our life. I like the Joe mugg coffee Cafe too. Staffs are always been kind and drink and smoothy taste good. Such a good healing place when you need some classic way of healing. My children also loved this place a lot. ❤🧡💛💚💙💜

Books A- Million was one of two book store my son and I would visit when he was in High school. Since, he was in Elementary School he was reading book series. Reading, drawing and creating adventures helped him cope with OCD and Schizopaffective Disorder. I am happy to say several years later Books A- Million is still a favorite of ours. There are not many book stores around, but there is something about being able to hold a book in your hands while sitting and reading with a excellent cup of tea 🍵. We did not realize how much we missed being able to hang out in the bookstore just relaxing and reading. My advice if you need to relax or just take time for yourself go to the bookstore buy a cup of tea select a great book to read and find corner. Be blessed and safe

The people who work here have always been very friendly and helpful towards me, even when it was during busier hours. Their selection isn't as large as some other chain bookstores, but I'm usually able to find what I'm looking for when I come here. This place is great for finding some pre owned or used books. Great deals.

Its nice to go to a bookstore and just browse. You can do that here. But if you need to find something the staff is helpful. Besides books they have a large magazine rack. Plus they have a small but nice coffee shop inside

I always love going to this store at any location. They have such a wide variety of reading material for most any avenue of interest! Also like most book stores if you have something specific in mind and can't find it They are more than willing to order it for you. The stores stay well organized so it isn't hard to seek a book by name as well!

Good variety of books, mangas, and comics. They also have a fun selection of games and puzzles. The staff is always friendly and kind. 6/12/22 update: there is hardly ever volume 1 in the Manga section. Very annoying.

Large store, but like most "bookstores," they devote a lot of space to toys and miscellaneous items. We went looking for graphic novels (after seeing an ad about a sale) and were disappointed by the 'fine print' and the selection. While we went looking for some specific items, we did find a lot of other titles. Staff are friendly and helpful.

I have been in a Books-A-Million before in my old stomping ground of Augusta. That store became a Second and Charles location for good used books. The store here, at the mall was well organized and easy to navigate to find sections. I will enjoy going back again!!

I really have trouble finding a books-a-million that doesn't make me happy. They always have a great selection of books and everytime I go to a new one I usually luck up and find an Iris Johansen book that I don't have in my collect. 48 more to 43 more to go.

I was pleasantly surprised to find out they buy used books. My book collection has changed drastically over the past few years and I had books on the self that have never been read or barely used. They don't pay much, but it was great being able to get rid of the books and get a little money. I think they donate books that don't sell which is great too!

The store offers a wide range of reading material at a high quality. It even offers cds and dvds! The only complaint I can find is that some books, like manga, are rearranged too often and cost just a bit over what feels comfortable for a weekly issue. Otherwise, everything is good.

Huge store with so much to offer! Love that it's like a BAM and 2nd n Charles put together, complete with a whole section of CDs and DVDs. We weren't greeted or asked if we needed anything like we're used to from BAM, the associates just passed us by, and most sections were a mess, but considering it was a busy Friday evening, I can understand. Would still highly recommend visiting and we hope to go back again soon.

This is actually a good place to buy books. I mean the selection was good, it was very well orgainzed, and the prices were reasonable. There's a tendency for book stores to be used as libraries, but this one worked well as a book store for me.

Absolutely love coming here. Such a huge selection of books, games, collectables, etc. You can find used books for a great price. Original book was $17, found a used book, that was basically new, for $6. It's a book store, how can you not like it?! Lol.

I love all the new books coming out and enjoy reading a lot. Alfred was a big help in solving a mystery of what to get my boss for his birthday. The classics are still available along with new comebacks like Dungeons and Dragons and other fantasy role playing games I grew up as a teenager.

I recently searched and visited this place to find books that were not in the bookstores around me. The bookstore was fine, but no one was checking the mask at the entrance. So, people who didn't wear masks were going in and out of this mall regardless. There were many people in the mall without masks, so I only visited the bookstore and left this place. 4 stars is not this bookstore's problem, but 1 star is subtracted due to the mall status.

I actually visited the great new African Store next to this store called Zeecraft. I did not visit Books A Million. The African Store IS AMAZING and the owner is great. Beautiful items from wall to wall.

I enjoyed this store alot. Its located in the sugarloaf mall and it is HUGE. I only went to look for funko pops and not only was I surprised with how much they had. They had lots of other things like manga or their books and the selection was huge! I absolutely loved this store and recently have been ordering alot from them. Usually really clean. There is a lot to choose from, but can be hard to find things since the organization of the store doesn't flow like it use to. Staff is very nice. It's always good to stop in to see what they have, especially on their best sellers table. Can't forget about the coffee either!

The clearance section in this store is huge and it's easy to find something you've been looking for, especially in the young adult section. Sometimes entire series are available for only a few dollars each. The cafe is clean and has rather tasty drinks and snacks. The staff is always nice and helpful. It's always a nice experience.

Wow, such a pleasant bookstore! Unfortunately, Ron Douglas' cookbooks lack luster-no photos and inaccurate recipes. Methods To Millions book contains a bunch of fluff from a copycat whose wife worked over 20 years in corporate America. Ron Douglas' is not an authentic millionaire (in my opinion) compared to wealthy online marketers!

Whenever I go to a Mall or Outlet I usually judge whether or not it's good based off a handful of things. First is if the food court is good. At Sugarloaf Mills Outlet the only "good" thing they have is Panda so that's a no. The second thing I usually look for is the type of stores they hold and the default options are there just like in any other outlet. You know, Hot Topic, Old Navy, American Eagle, Gamestop, Ross, and maybe one Anime themed store with a unique name. This Outlet has that but not much more. It's the third thing that really makes a location stand out. What kind of Bookstores do they have. This book store is amazing. You want books? Sure they got loads of them and if you can't find it, they will have it delivered to the store or your house. You like Manga and Comic books? They got tons of that too! Some are even on sale at times. You want anime shirts, toys, plushies? They got all that in this place too. Seriously this store is the only reason I find the Sugar Mills Outlet tolerable. I wouldn't even enjoy going to this outlet if not for this bookstore or maybe Earthbound but that's pretty much it. I don't go to this outlet for any other reason.

Book stores are a dying breed. I give them my money every chance that I get. From the helpful staff to the actual books you can open and look through stores like this need to exist. I have never left this store empty handed, although I should be coming here much more often. Unless you buy books based on what people tell you you should read get down there and find something that interests you.

It's like a Mall for books and swag. I spent more time looking in games than I did books. So much wonderful geek ware! Joe Mugs cafe was very good. So many Asian authors! Way to go guys for inclusion. I deduct a star for the sad state of world religion offerings. There was a row and a half Christian books but only a a handful of world religions (namely Islam) I bought what they had. I can let that Segway into the fact that most of them where were used books, so that means that they do buy your used books! What a wonderful thing!

4-27-19 - Books of all kinds, rest area, and place to order beverages and other treats. Nice setup, and hidden part of the mall that can be an enjoyable experience away from the noise. Even younger readers of Anime were there. Because I went there later in the day I didn't spend as much time there as I would've liked, but will be back.

Books -a-million is the best of times and the worst of times. It's a big well stocked bookstore far from the major city with many popular titles. Parking is free and there's a cafe. There are two issues. One, while the staff is friendly, their under staffed and pressured to sell. This simultaneously means you can't find help and the help is under pressure to offer you items or terms not for you. Second, the parent company limits what they carry. It's very PG. Still, any competition for the mega sellers is good.

Nice place to browse. Similar to B&N, they have a cafe, decent discounts on some books, music, and videos. Most new items are retail priced, but the Sugarloaf Mills location (perhaps others too) have a nice selection of new comics at discounted prices. I did not find anything interesting in their used CDs though.

My favorite place to get manga and other cool little things! Very big selection of all genres and it's in alphabetical order too. They even have a spot inside where you can get some coffee, snacks and etc. Plus I recommend getting the membership card if you're someone that reads as much as I do. I have it myself and it makes a big difference in paying for things.

Selection is good can't complain too much. There cafe area is nice love the lavender latte and just all the lavender. My thing is they say they support the troops but don't give discounts to the troops/veterans. Just went today on memorial day and I'm a veteran and bought items but they don't give out military discount. Just odd to see someone say they support troops to get ppl to buy there and they know its going to troops but they don't really support military purchasing products in there store. Well just my thought. Thing is I shop more at places who do give military discounts. I know a lot of active and veterans who are the same way.

Big selection of books and other random stuff like board games and t shirts. I'm still not convinced if they actually have a million books or not (can someone please confirm this?). BAM is one of the few remaining original stores that has been opened since Sugarloaf Mills first opened up, which back then it was called Discover Mills. They always have some sort of deal going on. Every now and then they do have a book signing from some small time author. Popular books are usually always in stock. The cafe is not too bad. They have what you would find at most bookstore cafes like coffee, desserts, and other beverages. Good bookstore overall!

Great bookstore, only complaint was they were very busy due to the rainy Saturday afternoon and they had nobody on the floor. But the young man at the register looked up to see if they had the book and then even came to see if was there. He gets two thumbs up!

Books-A-Million is 1 of the 2 only reasons I go to Sugarloaf mills mall. 2nd being the AMC Dolby lol. Book stores are being extinct & it's something about being inside a bookstore that makes you feel good vibes, it's just a good feeling to actually hold a book physically and not just listening to it on audio. We have gone to this Books-A-Million many times in the past few times, probably twenty. All of the times we have gone to get books that are for my kids school requirements. Usually it was last minute so that could be part of the problem but 2 out of all of those times they actually had the book that we needed. If you or your child needs a books for school, do not go there, they probably wont have it
