After being told by Chainwheel Drive (1770 Drew St) they "don't want" to work on my "Walmart bike", I reached out to Outspokin Bicycles (2241 Gulf to Bay Blvd). Right from the start, manager Greg was more than willing to hear me out and offered for me to bring my bike in immediately so the team could check it out. While in the store, Kirk, Jacob, Susan, and every other employee I interacted with was honest, respectful, and friendly. Within 10 minutes they provided me with a detailed price breakdown and offered to have my bike repaired and back to me the same day! Kirk took the extra step to load and unload my bike out of my car, which I really appreciated. The service, pricing, and efficiency of this store is unmatched. Nice place. I’ve been looking for a big store since I moved here, most bike shops are small and carry few items. I wind up buying a lot of stuff on Amazon. I try not to do that but no other choice sometimes. Well anyway, this store is really nice and they have a nice inventory of bikes, accessories and even shoes. The people there were very friendly and helpful. It’s a bit of a drive from home but these guys are my go to store from now on.

By far the best bike shop in the whole area. We were looking for bicycles to be able to start riding and going places around town. We looked at a lot of different bicycle shops, but none were in our price range or had the options we wanted. We found outspokin and so glad we did. The staff was so friendly allowed us to try multiple bikes educated us on different frame, sizes, bike options, and everything we needed to get into cycling. I would highly recommend going here and getting your bicycle. They have a lot of options in all within reasonable price ranges of the big box stores. The staff is super friendly and helpful and will be sure to hook you up with the best options for you. Highly recommend this place can’t thank them enough!

We test rode a couple of bikes and made the right purchase. Jason was very helpful, not pushy, and helped us load our new bikes into our car. Great experience.

Having recently purchased an e specialized creo, I came to the store from St. Petersburg to hopefully have a mechanical issue corrected. Upon entering the store, I was greeted and politely directed by the employees at the counter to the service department. Jacob greeted me with a great smile and listen patiently to the challenges I had with the bike. I thought, I would have to leave the bike at the shop over the weekend. Quite the opposite, he looked at it immediately recognized the minor issue and fixed it on the spot. I rarely write a review, Jacob you have sold me as the place to go for the maintenance of my bike. The owner or manager knew exactly what tire would work for a Lectric EBike. The 3.5inch x 20 didn't look anything like the tube that the bike came with. His recommended tube fit great and good price at $15

It was a pleasure to see familiar faces and to be greeted by name. I purchased a Specialized Turbo Vado 4.0 LTD in the beginning of October and have been extremely pleased with the bike. I am now riding farther and faster than I ever have before. Jayson was the sales associate that assisted me in selecting a bike that met my needs and wants based on my riding preferences and body fit, and was very friendly, responsive and knowledgeable. I had a small issue with the bike and Greg (service manager) helped me to resolve the issue in a professional and expedited manner. Overall, I am very pleased with these individuals and the store as a whole. I will definitely use Outspokin for all my service needs in the future as I have great trust in their customer service. If you are in the market for a new bike, I highly recommend this bicycle store. Great job guys!

Called Outspokin Bicycles to see if they had time to fix my very noisy rim brakes on my new Bianchi road bike. Purchased Campagnolo Bora One 50 carbon wheels, which can be very particular on the brake pad toe-in. They asked me to leave the bike to troubleshoot. They called me soon after (less than 1 hr) with the fix. I was very excited. Road the bike that evening and the brakes worked perfect with amazing stopping power. The shop was filled with courteous employees and excellent wrenches. Thanks again to everyone at the shop. Can't go wrong with this level of service and professionalism.

Shannon taught me how to change my tire. She was very thorough and extremely helpful. With kindness and dexterity she made my flat tire problem into an enjoyable learning experience. Can not speak higher about the Staff of Outspokin Bicycles.. Val and Kyle were a great help with my selection of my Bike. They are mostly a Giant retailer. Giant puts out high quality Bikes.. The Staff patiently allowed me to test ride a few bikes and even brought in a bike from their other store knowing I was not going to buy that exact Bike just so I could test ride it. They def Earned my Business and I ended up purchasing the Giant Toughroad SLR2. I have added some things to it since I bought it. Outspokin also has a points program which add up and you can put the points towards purchases in the future!

I bought a frame off of ebay and planned to build the bike up from scratch but I needed a special bottom bracket and crank installed because the frame was from 2008. Greg, the mechanic, was very busy but he took the time to find the exact bottom bracket I needed on line and ordered it for me. When it came in he had it installed along with my new crank. The next day I had the bike finished and on the road without any problems at all. Greg also gave me advice on what other parts I needed to buy to finish the bike. What a great experience! I went to Outspoken Bikes again today and Greg answered a question I have on my latest bike build and he ordered the part for me and so I can finish the bike this weekend. Thanks Again!!!

Just returned from a 4 day bike ride from Dunedin to Inverness and back. Fantastic ride that might not have been possible without the help of Greg and Outspokin Bike Shop. I have a carbon Specialized Ruby bike and was having a hard time figuring out how to attach a bike rack that could hold a pannier. Greg came up with a work about that held my pannier in place and didn't compromise my carbon frame! If that wasn't enough, the day I was supposed to leave my Ultegra front shifter just gave out and refused to work. Had to abort the trip, and hoped to start the next day if I could get everything working again! Greg made time to work on my shifter as soon as I came into the shop (we ended up replacing it!). Next day we took off and had 4 wonderful days of riding. Thank you so much Greg and Outspokin Bicycles! Fantastic shop, honest, caring and one fantastic bike mechanic!!

Awesome staff. I planned on spending $50 and spent $650. Lol. Well worth it. I bought a cheaper bike online, tried putting it together, and needed help with the brake cables. It turns out the bike was not the right size for me. I saw one in their store that looked nice, and they said they had one my size in a box they could put together for me to try. They called me when it was done, I fell in love! Perfect size, all the features I was looking for. They told me I had a lifetime warranty on the frame, a free tune-up within a year, and after riding about 10 hours to bring it back in for any adjustments. All included. I was sold! Even though I prefer to work on my bikes myself, it was nice to know I had back-up, lol. Greg in the service department was very helpful. A gentleman I thought named Gabriel offered to build the bike. Trixie took me for a test ride and explained the warranty. Even saved me a big empty bike box to return my online purchase in! I will go back anytime and recommend Outspokin for service, purchases, or just advice.

If you need your bike serviced, contact Greg at Outspoken, Clearwater. I brought my bike in and he quickly figured out the issue, explained what needed to happen, contacted the company and installed the new part. Throughout the process, he kept me updated on the status and when the part arrived, fixed everything in the time he said it would take. It's a 30 minute drive to get to the shop, and worth every minute for the excellent service Greg gives me. I highly recommend his services!

I have about a 15 year old Specialized that was in DESPERATE need of some TLC. After reading some great reviews I brought it here. I will never take my bike, or any bike anywhere else! Not only did they bring my bicycle back to “like new” conditions, I actually think it shifts BETTER than new now! I swear they replaced all of the shifting components by the way they operate AND look, but they swear they just took everything apart, did a thorough cleaning, and put it back together. It’s like I have a brand new bike now. Oh, and they did a great job on replacing my brake pads as well, lol. Highly recommend.

This place offers hands down the best service in town. Rodger was excellent in helping me with my bike and also offered me more knowledge that would help me in the future. Being somewhat new to cycling it is nice to encounter friendly and knowledgeable people who don't make you feel stupid. I'll definitely be coming back here for all my future needs. Well these folks are just amazing. My bicycle is my primary form or transportation right now and I'm also constantly on the go. My back tire blew out today and I couldn't here until very near their closing time. Not only did they let me in to buy what I needed (which is more then I expected)... they actually fixed the bike for me and got me back on the road in like 15 minutes, I paid for the labor but their pricing is very fair however...the fact they even did it for me was above and beyond. They didn't have to... They helped me out quite a bit with smiles on their faces and it's greatly appreciated. Thank you all at Outspokin for your exceptional customer service. 🙏🏼👌🏼🤙🏼

My husband and I just happen to come across Outspokin Bicycles on a drive. We've wanted to get new bikes and thought it was a sign so we stopped in. We were greeted by Susan, who was very personalable and spent time getting to know us and what type of bike riders we are. These guys and gals are amazing. Took my shoes up there to find out why my cleats wasn’t clicking into my pedals. Come to find out I had the wrong cleats. The gentleman found the right cleats mounted them on my shoes for nothing. I had to pay for the new cleats of course. Then one of the gentleman overheard me talking to one of their bike mechanics about me having a problem with my Specialized turbo’s chain jumping off every now and then. He met me at the door when I was leaving and offered to come out and take a look to see if it was something simple. Come to find out it was. He made an adjustment and didn’t charge me anything. They are very knowledgeable at what they do. Thanks again. Will definitely be coming back!!!

Came in looking for a hybrid specialized (which they had) and I went about explaining what I’m needing the bicycle for an how far I’ve been trying to ride and Maria explained to me the difference of each bike and different models and she helped me find the perfect hybrid although after some thought to myself I came across a blue road bike a specialized as well that thankfully was the perfect size and felt so smooth riding and ending leaving with it! Super thankful for all the advice and not rushing/pressuring me and will definitely come straight there for any future needs!

What a FANTASTIC bike shop! First of all EVERYONE that works there is so pleasant. I wanted to come back with a case of beer and just hang out with these folks. I've been a bike enthusiast for many many years and involved in many long-distance bike rides such as STP, (Seattle to Portland), TRAM (The Ride Across Minnesota) and many others. I've changed countless flat tires however I now have an e-bike and it just appeared too complicated for me. Outspokin replaced my tube quickly and for a very reasonable fee! Unfortunately for me, the two lovely ladies that are in my age group are either married, or moved to Seattle.... happy for them. Don't forget when the redhead moves back from Seattle to give me a call..... LOL! Seriously, the best bike shop EVER, large inventory, great service! No need to go anywhere else! Outspokin Bicycles on Gulf-to-Bay rocks! I bought a Specialized Sirrus X 4.0 and it's a fantastic bike. The steering with the carbon forks is extremely light and agile, and the bike is built rock-solid. I received a complimentary tune up and warrantied labor to replace the slotted crank. Everyone at Outspokin is friendly and helpful, and the shop mechanics are best in the business. Thanks for a great experience!

Decided on Easter to treat myself to a specialized roll sport and I am so glad I did, the staff was very respectful and actually had to build my bike out of the box, they got right to it. This place is fantastic! The staff are helpful and friendly I rode my bike to The Publix in the same plaza and when I went to. Leave I noticed my front tire was totally flat! I walked it over to the shop and it was fixed in minutes! I was also inquiring about classes and I'm excited to see they have free classes on different bike maintenance and repair. This place is great! I'll be going back again and again for all my Bicycle needs!

I took my bike in to have the brakes inspected. I needed new ones. They told me it would be 3-4 days. Shannon called and left a message for me saying it would be ready, but also that she inspected my wheels and they were dry rotted and she didn’t want them to burst on me. I went and picked it up and she put it in my car, which was very hard to do. I disconnected the brakes from the front to do so. I got home and was trying to put the brakes together. Ha! Couldn’t figure it out! I called Shannon, she FaceTimed with me and her and another guy was able to help me. I love the friendly service, and the knowledge and honesty they have! Thank you Shannon!!

This is the best bike shop I've been too, I got an amazing deal. My original price was around $50 to fix my brakes and tire and a employee named Greg gave me a deal for just $20 to fix all of it, he even did extra with no charge. I will go back there again if I ever need my bike fixed.

Helpful staff, I left the shop with my bike ready to roll 😎 Stopped by Outspokin bikes yesterday to switch out the pedals on my old bike. I asked them to put air in my tires and one of them blew, wound up replacing the tire, handle bar grips as well. The guy, didn't catch his name, was very helpful and understood that I was looking for budget options. They ended up dropping the labor fee on the pedals which was a nice bonus.

The people at Outspokin Bicycles are very friendly and helpful. The three star review is because of the last two times I’ve purchased items at Outspoken: The items ended up costing substantially more, one item was $40 more, than the ticketed price. Both times this happened I asked about the price discrepancy, and the rep said the prices were not marked correctly. Seems kind of shady, like the old bait and switch trick. I don’t know if this is just a fluke, if they aren’t attentive and staying up on marking prices, or if it’s intentional, but it’s happened twice now so I’m not sure what to think. I advise anyone who shops there to ask about the ticketed price BEFORE making a purchase. Otherwise, the employees are always helpful at Outspokin Bicycles.

Great bike shop! They have high end gear and bikes, though very friendly and helpful for the new riders like myself. Even called to ask questions about biking and they took time to answer them all without complaint. I worked with Leo and Lisa who also do group swims, runs, and bikes and I think Matt spent time answering questions about the tires and sizes. Their brands are limited bit great warranties and truly solid customer support. Beat amazon prices for water bottles and holders to boot.

People are nice. Though, I have seen a lot of reviews that have the same issue I have. That is the wait time. I needed a rear derailleur adjustment, but before even looking at the bike, they requested I leave my bike with them for the day because of the backup of repairs.

Incredible customer service!!! October 9th, my wife and I ventured off to shop for a new bicycle. We went to Chainwheel Drive and felt as if they were extremely proud of the bicycles in the store. We were asked if we needed help and were left alone. Not super engaging but not rude. We went to Jim's off 66th in Largo. We actually purchased my wife's bicycle there 2 years ago. Nice people but a very slim selection. I was torn between 2 bikes there and it seemed that the gentleman helping me was just agreeing with me on the bike's as long as I purchased one. When I got to Outspoken I was greeted by Bruce. He literally took it upon himself to size me up for a bicycle. Asked me some questions about how I was going to be using the bike? What kind of bike I have now? Just some research. Then he offered me a test drive on the bike's I chose. He told me to think it over. I did. Went back and purchased a Giant Hybrid. Reasonably priced and I got a veterans discount. Truly a wonderful experience...

I've been looking for a set of descent bikes for my self and my wife. There's quite a few bike shops here in the immediate Tampa Bay area. There is only one OUTSPOKEN bike shop. They are super friendly, helpful, knowledgeable. Their is not that pressure about having someone pushing a product to you. I'm beyond happy with my investment on the different products that I was guided on. All I have to say is that it was worth me driving 50 miles one way to find this location !!!!

I’ve been to the Clearwater store three (3) times now over the course of 1 1/2 months 1. purchasing my bike, 2. purchasing my bike rack, 3. bike tune-up. I can't recommend the team at Outspokin enough. I live in Asia - and the bike I want is not available here. I was coming through the Clearwater area and reached out to see if they could help me order one. They didn't have the bike in stock - but were able to order it to arrive the same time I did. They also were able to schedule a bike fitting while I was there, arrange for me to get a used hard case to transport it back home, and helped me pack it up. It can be intimidating entering this store and all the model bicycles appear shiny, pricey, and out of my league… I just have a flat and need new tires for my poor little hybrid. Luckily no one laughed at my old bike… the guys were very quick to take my bike to the back and start working on it. They suggested other repairs (which I already knew I needed) but didn’t oversell on my inexperience. PRICE = The individual parts are priced well—just slightly higher than if you bought online, but they charge you per service fix. In total that can add up.

My husband and I went to look at ebikes we were met by Jayson. He was very knowledgeable on the bikes, and explained things to where we understood what he was saying. did not pressure us at all. It was raining out so, I didn’t think that we would be able to try out the bikes. Jayson moved things around in the store allowing me to try the bike inside. He even held the bike due to me being a beginner at bike riding and walked along with me. Who else would of done that! LOL He seen that I was nervous and uncomfortable on the bike he got me off, adjusted the seat, and off I went with him cheering me on. Needless to say, we purchased two new bikes and some accessories. Jayson and the rest of the staff even helped us with a way to get them home because we had a car that would not fit the bikes. The bike that my husband purchased just came into the shop and was being built, the guy building it (sorry, can’t remember his name) took the time, finished building the bike right then and there so we could go home with it. Found a bike I liked online then found out Giant bikes are not allowed to be shipped so I looked for one locally. Once I found something similar I went to outspokin to see it. They showed me the bike I wanted but looked up other bikes in their stock as well. They found a 2015 high end giant trance with carbon wheels that was just a bit more because it was one of their exhibition bikes (they loan/rent it out sometimes or use it for promo) but was in great shape. Anyway it was at another location and they had it brought over. I was so excited that I did not check it appropriately.....once home I noticed a big Dent in one wheel. I took it back the next day and the sales rep Miguel quickly pointed out that carbon wheels don't dent. There was a mistake in the computer system and somehow the 2014 bike got confused for a 2015. They were very sorry about it and promised they would make it up. They found a 2015 Giant Trance Advance 2 which is better than what I thought I was buying (this one has a carbon frame). Anyway they traded the bike with no additional funds to make up for the error. I got a $3650 Giant for $2600 that was almost new (only like 2 rides before me.....also an exhibition bike)! Extremely happy with outspokin! Earned my business! Going shopping there for a new carbon handle bar in the next few weeks. Love my bike but having an issue with the upswing in my bars and issues with my wrists but that is another story
