Planned on going for a ride on a Saturday and come to find out my back tire was flat. Had been recommended to Greg’s in Greenlake and gave it a try right when they opened. I cannot remember who helped me but the entire experience was seriously perfect. The bike technician was awesome and nice, as well as informing with my bike. He didn’t try to push anything on me but gave suggestion etc.. The store itself is super well laid out and it was honestly just a great experience. I will definitely be going back for any and all future bike needs.

CHUCK!!! Ive been meaning to take my bike in for some time. My tires have been flat and I have a handy dandy travel pump that I could not figure out how to work. I even had my ma and pops try to no avail. I’ve walked by Gregg’s quite a bit but have been to nervous to take my bike in. I was embarrassed to say “hey can you teach me how to work my pump?” But today I was brave. Chuck approached me warmly and asked if he could help me. I said something like “ ok I know I’m stupid but could you help?” Chuck was SO WONDERFUL and told me I was not stupid, explained how to use it, assured me they were indeed tricky, helped me pump up one tire and then even taught a gal to fish and had me do the other. The entire time he was educating me on the ol tires, was making me laugh and was just all around pleasant. I’m so happy he was there to help and did it so kindly. I’ll be back soon to get my bike tuned up and will go there for all my biking needs! I am so happy with Gregg’s and so thankful for CHUCK! I went home immediately n took my pup for a ride.

I’m fairly new to cycling (less than a year) and Gregg’s Green Lake is my go-to neighborhood bike shop. I stop by to pick up spare tubes for longer rides and the occasional patch kit. But the most value I get out of visiting Gregg’s is bike education. Chuck in the repair shop is always happy to help me learn bike basics. He walked me through how to change a flat and my tires. I’m now much more confident that if I do need to change a flat, I have the tools and skills. Chuck is super friendly and I continue to learn new things about my bike and cycling every time I drop by. I highly recommend Gregg’s if you’re new or experienced in cycling. Great place.

Thank you to Chuck for providing excellent customer service. He was very responsive to my inquiries about the tires I ordered, going above and beyond to resolve the issues that arose. He fixed a front fender I thought was beyond repair, I was going to throw it away but he said he could find a part and repair it. I said okay, happy I did because now the fender no longer falls apart after putting it on a bus rack. I am impressed with the work quality Chuck did, and I will be back again when my bike needs a tune-up.

Just bought a bike here today and it was a great experience! I came in overwhelmed with trying to shop online and had an employee (I think Blake?) notice me and swoop in to help.
I told him my budget, where I was looking to cycle, and my previous experience and he had multiple suggestions right off the cuff. In addition to sizing me for a good fit bike, he even had a second bike ready for me to test ride after the first that ended up being a much better fit for me and my needs (and it was even cheaper than the first bike I tried!).
Gregg's has my loyalty and hearty recommendation!

My pedal broke off, I walked it over to Gregg’s. It was hard work, there were a ton of problems, but Wayne was able to put in the elbow grease and I was back on my bike in 30 minutes. Thanks Wayne for a great experience at Gregg’s cycle.

I've been to Gregg's a few times for walk-in service. I have an older bike that I hope to keep for the rest of my riding days, and with the help of fabulous bike tech Chuck, I am pretty sure that will happen. This is his second career and you will learn right away, it's also his passion. Each time someone walks through the door, he looks up from what he is doing to greet them, while still managing to focus on the task at hand. He asks questions to determine the problem and honestly wants to get it right the first time. And, he asked good questions. I thought something else was amiss, but Chuck after asking questions, identified the problem and efficiently went to work. The bike ride home was excellent, and not just because it was mostly downhill, but because Chuck found the solution, properly fixed it and did so for a reasonable price. Thank you Chuck!

Purchased my new mountain bike from Gregg’s and I absolutely love it and the service I received. Also, their team of mechanics are customer service oriented and they serviced one of my bikes on the spot at a very reasonable price. This is my go to shop now for any bike purchase or service request.

Knowledgeable & friendly service from my bike technician/sales associate- Ava. Thank you.
As for Trek Bike Manufacturer - I am disappointed that they are making bikes without their traditional high component parts. I am disappointed that they don't inform the retailer nor is the customer aware when the manufacturer install parts not as advertised due to low inventory. It's unethical, the consumer has a right to know these changes. People buy/love Trek Bikes for their trusted quality component parts. Instead of the Tektro Brakes that should have come on the Trek Dual Sport 2, I got Power Brakes. These brakes are NOT of equal quality. I will be leaving Trek a review. I shared this for consumer awareness.

I've now gone in a few times to install fenders and get brakes replaced, and every time Chuck and the rest of the staff have been incredibly kind and helpful! Chuck is a very skilled mechanic and always take the time to help me understand what is happening with my bike. Thanks Chuck and the crew!!
Mike Huang
Luke, one of the bike mechanics, is incredibly helpful. When I had issues with my shifting, he helped me fix it while giving me a lot of his professional advice. The job ended up being small and he did it as a favor!

Got a new-to-me bike and needed some new pedals and some slight adjustments made on the bike. Went to Gregg’s cycle and was able to get everything taken care off. Even got my stem shorted as my new bike needed the slight adjustment. This is always our go-to shop for cycling gear and when we have questions about our bikes. Thanks Gregg’s cycle and Chuck for your help today!

Unlike the Bellevue location, I've had consistently great service here. Staff is friendly, knowledgeable and enjoys the bike shop experience.
Shopped bikes, clothes, tires, accessories and staff has always been exemplary. They treat me like a paying customer, so I am one.

My 11 year old's chain kept coming off so I told her to walk her bike into Gregg's service desk. They looked at it and figured that the rear wheel gear cluster will probably need to be replaced soonish, but that with some lubrication the repair could hold off for a while. They took it apart, oiled it and got it working, and sent her out without a charge. I will definitely head there when it does need to be replaced.

This place is truly wonderful. I have had multiple experiences here of outstanding support and service. The staff here are knowledgable and kind and have taken good care of my bike. Cannot recommend enough.

Came here for a bike wrench and left with what I really wanted. I quick release so I can easily adjust my seat. New pedals and a kick stand!! I'm new to biking and they were really helpful showing me how to take care of my bike. They were great and helped me find what I needed or they would suggest what I might need and show me why. In the end what I added onto the bike was my choice. I learned a lot and got what I needed from this store. I would highly recommend this store.
I will definitely be back in the near future ❤️😄

I needed new brake pads and I had an issue with my gears. So, I biked to Gregg’s on my old bike. Chuck helped me right away. I need my bike each day to commute to work. I was surprised that I was helped without an appointment. After 45 minutes everything was fixed and nobody said anything about my bike being too old .., Thank you for a fast und friendly service and a very reasonable price. I will come back and also recommend this shop.

I just purchased a bike at Gregg’s Greenlake. Victor helped me assess my options and choose a bike that is a great fit for me. He was very patient and helped me have a really nice experience shopping at Gregg’s in what is otherwise a very stressful time. Thanks Victor! I highly recommend Gregg’s to any prospective bike owners.
Kramer McEleney
had an incredible experience with Chuck. he answered all of my questions and even informed me of a few problems my bike had - without trying to charge me for things I didn't need. I feel like I can trust these guys and highly recommend them.
Logan Shelagowski
Stopped by Greggs to get a repair estimate after my bicycle was damaged during shipping. Service center was very busy with a line outside but the staff was patient and throughout checking out my bike and helping me out.
Duncan Dickerson
Chuck is the man! Walked right in, he tuned our bikes up real fast and offered expert knowledge on troubleshooting a small issue with my pedals. Appreciated the follow up phone call as well. Thanks Chuck
Alexandra Nelson
Friendly and helpful service. Sometimes long wait times for servicing a bike in the spring so book your appointments early!

Gregg’s is a really popular bike shop for a good reason. They have a great selection of bikes and accessories. Their staff is really knowledgeable and helpful. They helped me today with a random part for a set of brakes I didn’t even order from them. I also bought a helmet from them today when 3 other bike shops were completely out of stock of helmets.
Phillip Duggan
I loved the experience buying my bike from them years ago and doing the regular maintenance there. But a recent "quick fix" was what made me really happy.
I know all the shops are busy right now but my brake pads were worn dangerously low (only really found out how bad after) and they found time to take a look at it. It's a large cargo box bike and my main transportation for my kid. So I really appreciate them making it happen!
Vi Le
Chuck at Gregg's was great! I had issues with my brake levers where I could not grip them well. Other bike places told me I had to get spacers installed, but Chuck took the time to examine the levers and made the adjustments for me (no spacers needed) free of charge. He also noticed a couple of other things on my bike and addressed those as well. I can't recommend this place enough!

*Superior Service Experience*
I came in with a $25 tire issue and walked away a loyal customer.
Chuck greeted me with compassion and helped me understand my problem and offered to give me a demonstration when I returned with the rest of my bike.
I ran a little late, and Chuck stayed past his lunch break to ensure that Jules met me and took care of my needs.
Jules spent 30min giving me a demonstration on replacing my tire, teaching me the different methods for increasing my cycling efficiency (tire type, wheel type, and pedals), and showing me how to put the will back on my derailleur.
All for $25. ($8 tire and $17 service)
Gregg’s Greenlake Cycle exceeded all expectations! 🥇

We were entry-level cycling customers. We had a fantastic experience. Knowlegable sales people. Not at all pushy on the up sell. Very easy going and patient when it came to explaining bike functions and fit. Everyone was still wearing masks which as a high risk person, I was grateful. We came out with a newly purchased bike for my 6'4" athlete son to cross train with and plans to come back. Thank you!
Jamie Ross
Thank you to Sage and the whole team for providing an A+ experience!
I knew that I wanted a good mountain bike and needed some accoutrement; I had done a little research on what type and brand of bike I wanted before going to the shop, but I was still a bit out of my league. I was astounded by the team's expertise, suggestions, and no-pressure attitude towards sales. I walked away with my dream setup and kit without completely breaking the bank.
The pièce de résistance was the service plan: a bit steep at an upfront cost of about $1k, but it includes repairs and annual servicing for everything on the bike from brake bleeds to suspension tuneups, and more, for the entire LIFETIME of the bike, no expiration date (under your ownership; it's non-transferable). I will most definitely be taking advantage of the plan!
This is a great, locally-owned shop with dedicated employees! Highly recommended for any and all things bicycle.

Each time I've been to Gregg's I've received courteous, prompt and excellent service from the Service n Repair Dept. On 09/03 I was in line at register waiting to check in for repairs when a Tech overlooked me and asked another customer in. Though the wait was longer this seemed to have worked out. The next Tech went above n beyond n checking my bike out for problems. He was knowledgeable, polite and problem solved a handle bar issue on the bike. Don't know the Tech's name but he's not the tall one or female 😉. Very happy.

Shout out to Chuck for helping us with a flat tire! My boyfriend and I went in to buy some supplies to fix his flat tire on his bike. We sat in the corner of the store and we’re determined to learn how to fix the tire ourselves. Chuck came over and gave us some amazing pointers! Fixing a flat tire is so so hard but we are much closer now to knowing how to do it ourselves. Will be definitely coming back for other service and supplies!!

I first visited Gregg's in Green Lake for some service help, and was disappointed. The staff came off aloof, abrupt, and tired. I then visited another Gregg's for some mechanical help, hoping for a better experience, and found the same sort of manner from the staff.
I was quite pleased to find complete opposite treatment from their sales staff. In looking for a new bike, each staff member made themselves very available. They didn't try to oversell me, and they provided me with relevant, accurate information. But it was Erik who finally helped me to make a bike purchase. He worked hard to help me find the best bike, reserving some for me and having some built that weren't on the floor yet. He used tape measures on various bikes trying to understand my comments after test rides and direct me to what I liked best. When I was finally ready to make my purchase, Erik was pulled away for another customer, and Kat did a great job finishing up the purchase. She answered my questions, and was friendly and energetic, and had the best manicure of all the staff! :) I'm glad I took the time finding my new bike. After 2 weeks of commuting, I am glad to say I got the right one!

Kiddo got her first peddle bike for her fifth birthday and Jessica and Margaux went out of their way to make the experience special and make sure she didnt get too complicated a bike, they even helped us talk her in to training wheels and put the much loved basket and bell on for her!
Also helped us find a helmet she loves and didn't want to take off.
Arnold Ram
The staff is cool and knowledgeable. Took my bike in to have my brakes installed and adjusted and have the bars wrapped. The job was done really well and I am happy with the service. The downfall is the prices are a little high. Yet, I'll pay a small premium for the service and convenience near home. Ive been back two times since for purchases and the team there is happy to help and recommend things that I am looking for on my bike.
George Ohler
Max was super friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. Hope to end up using Gregg's for all my cycling needs as long as I'm in Ballard.
Nate Beck
One of my best friends recently passed away during a bike race and his family passed his bike along to me because they knew how much it would mean. I went to Gregg's just to get a box to pack it up to fly home and Kenton took time out of his day to make sure that everything was packed well, and listen to stories about my friend and I and all our adventures. They've made a customer for life anytime I'm back in Seattle. Thank you.

Took my hybrid to Gregg’s on Sunday morning for a small repair. Zach was super helpful and was able to find the part and fix me right up. He also replaced the front through axle. He was very friendly also, recommending some local trails. I was able to get everything repair quickly and cost effectively. Then I headed out on the Burke Gilman trail from Ballard to Kenmore! Overall a great day. Thank you Gregg’s!

Been here a few times, all the mechanics are super friendly and helpful!!

I want to thank Will for the great help he gave me when I bought a bike. He was patient and knowledgeable. While he was getting my new bike set up other people in the store made sure I could get help if I asked and they were not overbearing. I also liked the choices I had for accessories. Some shops have limited stock. I had a great experience. Only downside is parking. Once I got to the store I saw a sign that suggested another place, perhaps put that on your website?

I bought a 2022 Santa Cruz Bronson with pedals at Gregg's, and not after putting 50 miles on it I had a pedal back out without me noticing, during a long descent. Unfortunately the threads stripped out, rendering the whole crankset scrap --I was beyond gutted. That same Sunday evening, I bring it back in barely 10 minutes before close, and the service lead Stephen did not hesitate to set things right. He turned the bike around before Wednesday evening, **somehow** sourcing a brand new crankset AND bottom bracket that were comparable, if not an upgrade! During the Great Bike Shortage of 2021. I already love to recommend Gregg's for anyone's local bike needs, and now I am even happier to support the business after they stood by their work.

Great bike shop. Repair team works hard to get things right. Jules and Chuck and the rest of the staff offer great service. Had an annoying noise in my rear wheel of my new road bike that was systematically inspected and solved! Highly knowledgable and friendly people at this neighborhood business.
David Guinn
I'm always impressed by each employee's excitement and enthusiasm about their job. The servicing is exceptional with great attention to detail. I purchase about 75% of my biking items from here primarily due to their customer service. I feel that it is important that support these establishments and keep high quality service around.
Keep it up Gregg's!

Bought my bike there, spent a fair amount of money on gear there in the last couple years ... and the sale staff are super friendly even tho they ofter have limited stock. However the Service dept is very hit or miss. Occasionally you get a helpful guy but often you get sour faced, grumpiness. I really want a good relationship with a local bike shop but I think I probably have to start trying other local bikes shops if I want to find that.

A few weeks ago I had a very bad day when I realized my bike frame was cracked! I ride a trek I had bought in another state so gregg's greenlake was the closest authorized dealer to go through the warranty process with, and I am very lucky they were! Stephen walked me through all my options while dealing with Trek and even got me a bigger size frame that would fit me better (which I've noticed a huge difference with). The frame came in and they had the new bike assembled even faster than they estimated which I appreciated. When I went to pick up the bike, one of the service guys (I think Jules was his name but I'm not sure), spent a good amount of time with me helping to find a new spot for my lock because it sat differently on the new frame. This is such a small detail but he really put the effort into helping me find a new configuration. I did have some issues with my rear brake after they were installed on the new frame so a week later I brought them in to have a look, and even though they were very understaffed, the service manager and Oliver, and Stephen (again, sorry if i'm forgetting names) made it a priority to make sure they worked properly, bleeding them several times, making adjustments, and eventually replacing them for me, spending 4+ hours during a very busy time for them to make sure it got done. It is riding great, and I could not be happier with the service I received. You can 100% trust this team with your bike and know that they really care about it. A++++
Todd Nixley
Gregg's is my go to for professional service and friendly attention. I've never had a bad experience with them. I came in needing a new bike after a theft, and Tony took excellent care of me. His knowledge and expertise were just what I needed to get over the frustration of having my ride stolen. He gave me excellent attention and helped pick out a great bike for my budget and needs.
Gregg's, and particularly Tony D. get five stars and a hearty recommendation.
Steven Crawford
Classic Seattle bike shop with the best selection of apparel, gear, and parts for people who still like to buy stuff in person and keep their money local. Staff is friendly, helpful, and unpretentious. I use my neighborhood LBS for maintenance, repairs, and upgrades, but it's worth a trip across town to pick up a new rain jacket or cycling shoes.
Marta D.
I got a bike from the Greenlake store after a few test rides. Adrian was helping us to choose a bike and the accessories. He was super helpful, friendly and funny, selling the stuff but not in a pushy way. Everyone in the store was very helpful. Thank you for such great service! Would definitely come back if anything else is needed for my new bike!
Daniel Beaumont
I went into Gregg's this week in search of a new helmet. I was very pleased with the selection available and the customer service I experienced. The salesman who helped me was incredibly friendly and really went above and beyond to seek out the correct information about the helmets that I had questions about. His name was Zach. He was an excellent hire by the team at Gregg's and I recommend requesting him to work with you if you go in to the shop.
I walked out of Gregg's with the perfect helmet and I will definitely become a regular customer from here on out.

So, let me start by saying I’m a middle aged dad of two young kids. I needed a bike to rally around with the fam on and my road bike was just too much bike. So that put me in the position to pony up for a new do everything bike or bust out my old 1997 Schwinn Homegrown hard tail (that was purchased from Aurora Cycle new in 97). As most of you know the pickins for a new bike are slim to none during these days of pandemic. So I decided to bust out the ol Schwinn. BUT I couldn’t ride it as is cause not only was it out dated it took at least 15 years of hard Mt riding abuse. So now I was on a mission to find someplace or someone who was willing to help me dial it in. I went to about 5-6 different bike shops around the city (all were less than helpful, able, or willing), until I ran into Travis at Greggs in Lynnwood. This guy’s a gem!! He not only was willing to take on the task, he spent the extra time to help me find replacement parts, even if I couldn’t buy them from him. And an added bonus, he actually seemed genuinely excited about the idea of reviving my “classic” bike. So I left on a mission to gather parts and bring them back to him to install. Two weeks later I had the parts, called him, and was in the next day. A couple days later I had my bike back with a Gold Tune, new front end and pedals, and I was as good as new!! He took the time to make sure everything was dialed in to my (updated dad) body geometry and to my satisfaction and sent away a very happy customer. I took the bike on a nice 15 mile ride with my daughter today and liked it as much as if not more than the day I bought it. All in all I spent a bit more than I would have for a cheaper brand new bike of like kind (with better components) but the experience and the results were well worth the extra money.
Cats like Travis are hard to find these day, so if you’re ever in need of a bike repair I would highly recommend checking in with him, and the rest of the staff at Greggs. Everyone there was very much customer service oriented and really friendly.
Emily Bunch
Great service! Came in looking for a helmet. Rob helped me find the best fit for me, and when it wasn’t available in their store, pointed me to a different vendor (and gave advice about getting it from them) so that I could get the best helmet for me instead of just trying to sell me something from their store for the profit. Very helpful & was attentive to my price range! Will definitely go back for future needs!
C.J. Collier
I've bought a few bikes from them now. The price nearly put me off initially, but I'm glad I made the decision to do business with Gregg's. I just brought my latest bike in for a check up and it's in great shape. No charge to check it out.
Patric Earle
Date: 4/20/21. Reason for visit: drop-in bike service. Kaz really went the extra mile with her work on my bike. She would not be satisfied until the adjustments were perfect. She did a nice job also on checking for wear on my chain (and ended up replacing it) and made my bike purr. A nice extra touch was taking some cleaner and cleaning my very dirty hangle tape. I'm so happy with Greg's and Kaz!
Clint Olsen
I was disappointed with the service. I purchased new pedals and had the mechanic adjust the brakes and shifting to make sure it was usable. My son reports that the shifting is inconsistent and the brake modulation is not great.
It was my fault for not test riding the bike after the adjustments were made, but I was in a hurry to get back downtown on another errand. Since I'm not local to Seattle, I can't really resolve this with the shop.
Alexandru Sandu
I would like to knowledge Hagen & Hunter for there customer service and knowledge of the products and made my visit great as for my first time in the store . I would like you to recognize Hagen . He was very nice and pleasant give me options. What the right shoes to choose and the and cleats as for easy to demount the bike faster . I would say the same for Hunter which assist Hagen with my transaction. Please let them know that I was happy with there customer service and knowledge of there products. I will continue to shop in your store.
Hagen & Hunter Thank you! 🚲

Most helpful bike shop in town. They are often busy because of their good reputation and location. If you come in on a nice weekend day you may have to wait, but you can trust you will find an excellent product or that your bike problem will be solved. I recommend coming in Wednesday or Thursday midday. I am usually coming in with two small children and the staff are friendly to them as well, treating them like people and the experience is pleasant for all of us. This store always has a lot of skilled employees on hand which tells me the owners are certainly customer-minded. I have also been helped free of charge for small fixes often and I've been offered odds and ends from the shop to fix a problem economically. This means a lot to me as a regular customer. Being given a free part, even a small one that just happens to solve my problem, is what keeps me coming back to purchase the big ticket items here when they come up. --(And, we are very happy with our new bikes and the new narrower trailer model from Burley, the Minnow!)
Brandon Herman
I've visited a (bakers) dozen local bike shops in the past few weeks looking for a new MTB. These folks are the best. They let me pick their brain (for information, not lunch) for an hour, were incredibly attentive, and gave me honest advise (which I knew was correct). This is the best shop in the Seattle area, hands down. Although the employees are clearly gear-heads, they deliver information in a non-condescending tone. To the folks with gripes: I blame your parents.
Isaac Chamberlain
Chatted with Jesus about many cycling topics. He asked great questions and provided friendly and humorous conversation throughout. Would recommend to anyone who is an experienced rider looking to up their maintenance skills.
Edward Haltness
Great service, tons of product, knowledgeable staff. High prices? Is retail high? Yes, you can buy cheaper bikes, but if they roll out of a bike shop, they should be serviceable from that bike shop, meaning NOT "throw-away" bikes. Pay out a little more upfront and get something that will last is my advice. This is the store to use!
Matthew Milner
Gregg's has been my favorite shop in Seattle for some time and they keep impressing. Recently I had a warranty issue on a bike I purchased there in 2016 and Steven in their service shop deftly handled the problem and went out of his way to present me with a number of options. They are the only place I recommend to my friends/family
Anton Leitner
I went in to get an old bike service, I haven’t been biking in over 10 years. They were able to fix up my bike, get it in working order, and get me thoroughly excited to start cycling again. Kenton and Thomas in the service department were great helps
Karl Wehden
Bob Rocks! The device team, but especially Bob, really take care of business, and also manages to completely avoid the condescending mansplaining that usually accompanies a trip to the cycle shop. What a pleasant, collaborative experience.
Robert Kangas
My wife just bought me a shiny new Specialized Carbon Fiber bike for my birthday from Gregg's Greenlake. I went there a couple of times to test various bikes to see what I had liked and each time the service was great, even when they were really busy. Great staff, good selection of bikes and equipment, and just an overall great experience. I'd totally recommend Gregg's to others.
Wayne Burnham
I've had an ongoing issue with a bike I purchased, and the staff at Gregg's have worked very hard and been extremely diligent in their efforts to resolve it and make things right. The problem is with a manufacturing design flaw, nothing caused by Gregg's
I've bought a few other bikes from them and had no previous trouble, but it's good to have trust that the after-sale support will be there if something does come up
Elliot Hughes
Excellent customer service, the staff were all very friendly and helpful, I walked in and walked out with a bike and a bunch of accessories within the hour. If you need a bike, I'd highly recommend coming here!
Eric Kruger
They have all the bikes! Super friendly customer service. 🥇 …

Been going to this shop off and on over the years. I've always had great success—even the times where I just walk in with minor issues to fix without an appointment. A couple of years ago I started to have serious knee pain after buying a new pair of shoes and decided to get a complete bike fitting. Nate was great and the fit was totally worth it—knee pains never came back.

Gregg's Greenlake Cycle is a great place to buy a bicycle. I bought my 2012 Specialized Crosstrail Sport Disk from the in late 2011. I had to special order the specific model I wanted but what impressed me about Gregg's is how much stuff they have in stock. It makes it fairly easy to look at and try out stuff at the store. I knew that I wanted to custom build the bike for world touring and Gregg's made it easy for me to start that process and pick the bike that was best for me. At this point (2018) I am half way around the world and the bike is sitting next to my desk. We have now ridden in North America, South East Asia and Northern Europe and the bike is running better than ever, I think mainly because of the great start I got at Gregg's Greenlake Cycle.

I typically am a DIY sort of person, but every once in a while I have trouble finding the time to get something done on my mountain bike (tubeless this time). I've taken a few things here and each time they have been prompt, offered good advice, and have gone above and beyond a few times.
I don't expect the last bit every time I come in, but I do feel that in general they do care and provide solid service.
Christopher Ballance
Tim, the sales associate, was exactly what I was looking for, someone who was knowledgeable and spoke from personal experience, not as an upsell. I was very impressed by the overall service, especially since the store was incredibly busy. Not only did I purchase a great Trek bike but I will be taking it to Gregg's for all my service needs! Great deal with service package add on since it apply's to all 3 Seattle Gregg's locations!
Evan Anderson
Great to have a pleasant and well-stocked neighborhood bike store.
I haven't bought a bike from them (moved nearby fairly recently), but they've been good for tubes, tune-ups and the like. They even found some new helmet foam for me when my helmet had a piece fall off the Velcro.

Great customer service! I'm not necessarily a new biker but it's been several years since I've owned one. Also, this is the the first time I've had to consider the needs of someone commuting in the city (Seattle). I came in looking for a new commuter type bike and was helped immediately. Bri talked me through some options and price points and helped me pick out something perfect for my needs and budget. Aidan helped me find some obligatory add-ons (helmet, lock, light etc). And Dylan assisted me in making the purchase. He also facilitated the installation of my extras and setup of the bike with their techs. Overall a wonderful experience and I am a very happy customer!!
Enrico Pozzo
We bought 2 bikes here. My son fell and bent his front brake and part of the shifting mechanism. I brought the bike in and they started working on it right away. 15 min. later I walked out with the bike repaired. Service always speaks loudest for me. I really appreciate how they take care of us and will keep coming back to them.
Hilary Zak
I went in today to buy a new road bike. The staff (Ray and Jake) were SUPER knowledgeable and patient. I took a couple of bikes out for a test ride and then spent a significant amount of time picking their brain and learning about bikes, wheels, trainers, etc. I really appreciated their patience and not feeling rushed or pressured.
Zachery Koneval
Great place to buy and get your bike serviced. I went in today to get my bike that I bought from Greggs a year ago tuned up and was amazed that the salesman who sold it to me remembered who I was. The service member who looked at my bike noted that I have taken great care of my bike and only charged me for the services that were nessesary when I had originally come in for a more expensive service. Overall an amazing place!
kelly jensen
Nice people, very helpful! Reasonable prices and service plans for the bikes are good value if you use them. We bought a balance bike for 2 year old daughter. Also bought a cyclocross hybrid bike here recently.
Will Jennings
I have been in here many times and the service staff are very talented and have helped maintain my primary bike, and the sales staff have been helpful and accommodating with out of warranty issues which were entirely my fault. They have a great selection of new bikes and I would recommend anyone to check out what they have.

I am shocked to read all the negative reviews of Gregg's posted here. I don't know if they went to a different one of their stores, but every time I've gone in there to look at bikes, buy bikes, or get repairs (probably about 20x), I've always left happy and wishing that other bike stores were as knowledgeable, friendly, and accessible as Gregg's.
For example, I went to Recycled Cycles ysterday and had to wait over 10 minutes to talk to someone, and that was with me actively trying to find someone to help. I had to wait even longer at REI. At Gregg's today, within 30 seconds of walking in, someone asked if I wanted help. They're the best bike shop I've been to in Seattle (of the 15 or so I've visited).
Steve Carlson
I agree this group of mechanics is the friendliest and most helpful around. Needed a quick shifting-skip diagnosis this evening, and was prepared to "need" a tune-up, and instead, after 5 minutes of conversation, a little cable-tensioning, and cleaning and lubing the chain, I'm off and riding again - thanks guys! No wonder I return and buy parts all the time....
Suthasinee Supatwanich
Love Gregg's cycle. I think the Green lake location is the best. Everyone is super helpful and friendly. Josh was awesome pumping up our tires and straightening out the valve on the tire.
He also helped us with a lot of our questions.
Alex Houghton
I began my bike search in May 2012, and after 7 months I bought the Specialized FSR Comp 29er. Andrew spent many hours over many visits educating me on the various styles of riding and what would work best for me and my goals. I cannot stress how friendly and knowledgeable Andrew was during the entire process. And when Andrew was not working the day I visited, Robert, Leif, and Collin were equally knowledgeable and able to answer all my questions. Never did I feel pressured to buy or unwelcome. I am thrilled with my purchase and the after-purchase support Gregg's has given me. Andrew helped me setup the suspension on my new purchase and now the bike is perfectly dialed in. For the price there is no better value in Seattle! These guys are the pinnacle of customer service!
Sea WA
Don't pay attention to the negative reviews! Amazing shop. All the mechanics are very helpful and considerate. Check out the sales floor when you stop in; tons of new and top of the line bikes!
Richard Bond
I have been going here since I was a kid, growing up in the neighborhood. For several decades it has been a fantastic bicycle toy store, with bikes, accessories and a friendly staff to explain it all. I am always looking for an excuse to go back.
Maria Redkozubova
Came in looking for a new bike and after couple of hours of test riding, Jake helped me narrow it down to two awesome contenders. I had to take a day to mull it over and came away with a rad bike the next day. Highly recommend the store with great selection and knowledgeable staff!
John Nehls
The service department is top notch. I am annoyingly particular and they very patient and clear when going through my service options-- excellent service! Thank you Chuck and Wayne!
Leo Baldwin
Good selection. Competent staff. Been around for ages.
Elisabeth Read
Morris was so helpful! We purchased my first bike as an adult here and so I had a lot of questions. The process was easy and I’m so excited to pick up my new bike.
Dino Chiesa
Great experience at Greenlake. Walked in on a Saturday morning, and made my way to the back where I knew the road bikes were. I was greeted 3 times before I got there. Khris helped me out, set me up with a test ride very quickly. He knew all about the bikes I was interested in. After the first ride, I asked to ride another, and he obliged no problem.
In the end I didn't buy the bike, but there was no pressure from Khris. I talked with him about what I liked and didn't like. We talked through some options. All in all, a really good bike shopping experience. I will go back.
Johnny Morrow
Bought my first mountain bike online and picked up in store, staff was extremely friendly and helpful answered all my questions as well as made sure I had everything I need to start cycling, definitely recommend

I needed some spokes for a wheel that I ordered the wrong length spokes for. Justin helped me recalculate the proper spoke length but came up with the same answer I did. When I found out I was using the wrong ERD, I returned to get new spokes. They didn't have enough spokes to string a whole wheel, so I asked Alarin to cut my old spokes to length and he did so free of charge. They work great on my newly restrung wheel. I will be replacing them with new spokes soon though. These folks are proficient, offer the appropriate amount of help, and are pleasant to work with.
David Peters
Great service. New road bike buyer and they had two salespeople helping me. Very patient and helpful. More expensive than some online retailers but very competitive. Totally worth it for the service in my opinion.
James Cameron (MacGillFhaolain)
I have been to Gregg's Greenlake Cycle many, many times over the years, beginning in the early 1970s when I purchased my first bike there so I could commute to the UW for classes. Over the last couple of years I have purchased a lot of equipment through Gregg's, including a Specialized Tricross and a Specialized Roubaix as I added biking to my running regimen. I have found the customer service throughout to be splendid, including knowledgeable and responsive staff. And I've especially appreciated the occasions when I would drop by unannounced in need of an adjustment or advice, and staff would devote 10 or 15 minutes of their time helping me, often at no cost.
This is my experience, based on four decades of visits to Gregg's Greenlake Cycle.
Harry H
The shop is really nice with a wide selection of items, the staff are also very knowledgeable and friendly. Ordering online is easy to do and smooth. Items may take a while to get to you, mine took about a month, longer than the quoted 7 days. Still overall satisfied with this shop.
Robert Davey
Excellent customer service. Went above and beyond to fix my Power chair tire. I would recommend Gregg's Greenland Cycle to anyone in need of a bike or small tire repair.
Andrew Michalski
Friendly staff, easy bike rental process. Much easier than shipping my bike across the country. This is by far the largest bike shop I've ever seen, too.
lauren Gibson
They over charged me on the initial purchase of the bike and from there things went downhill. When I can back to pick up the bike they didn't have half of the accessories I had ordered. They told me I could make an appointment to have the accessories installed when they arrived. When I tried to make the appointment I was told they Do NOT make appointments for installing accessories - its on a first come first serve basis.
Was not impressed with the service.
Audrey Riddell
Lauren was so helpful and patient when I went to buy a bike pump today. She even helped demonstrate how to use the pump on the kind of valve I have. Great customer service at Gregg's, thank you!
Frank Kroger
Great bicycle shop to purchase a bike or to get yours repaired. They donate used inner tubes and tires to be sent to West Africa.
Will Scott
Gregg's is set up to do tuneups and service -which I have no complaints about. When I needed to ship my bike down to California, they were happy to give me a bike box for free to ship it in.
Michael Sumner
The service technician that helped me, Jules, was beyond exceptional. He was knowledgeable, fast, and incredibly courteous. I will use this shop exclusively from now on!
J T
Ordered some tubes online. Was under the impression that they were a stock item. Nope. They had to order them, get them, and then send them to me. I got them 2 weeks later. Plus, they shipped via UPS when USPS would have sufficed. Slow. Just use your local bike shop, or just about anyone else.
Michael Innes
My girlfriend and I visited Gregg's Cycles to find what would be her first bicycle in over 15 years. We needed a guide that would help us get back into cycling and show us what to look for in an introductory bike.
Tony filled that role, with both patience and knowledge. After identifying the type of biking we would do (Burke Gilman trail biking, etc), he presented a few options that had a couple distinctions between them. Tony presented many concepts about biking in a way that was easy to understand as newcomers.
Krishnan Subramanian
I bought my bike yesterday and I was pretty impressed with the selection, professionalism, etc.. I want to give a special shout out to Andrew who went out of the way to walk couple of blocks to where I had parked my car to set up the bike rack. I will definitely recommend to my friends.
Julian Garcia
They donated us their used tire inner tubes and are super helpful!
Eyung G
One of the best bike stores in the US. Great service and selection of bikes and clothing. Staff is very knowledgeable. Great place to bike nearby.
Edward C
Hey to all you folks at GGC, sure do appreciate the bike I just received. It originally came from your store.
I am stuck in Stockton,CA and was in dire need. It came through a program with the local churches and now I have some wheels.
Again, thanks to everybody involved.

Joshua Schober
Bike heaven. I just needed to grab a new helmet and some gels but ended up staying for an hour talking with their knowledgable and helpful staff. And if you're looking for Specialized bikes and gear—I think they've got you covered.
Matt Bloch
They helped me get off my bike tires for free when I was struggling with em. Thanks Gregg's!
John Lin
Service here is excellent. Great and kind explanation for my bikes.
Ryan Green
Mechanics badly botched a simple cassette install (that I bought there). Would not go back or recommend for service. However, I did find their sales staff to be helpful and friendly.
Carter James
Bri was excellent with my bike fit.
Charlotte C.
If you ride at all, this place can help. They have equipment/bikes for sale, you can rent a ride for the day, and full service bike repair. Anything from a tune-up to building a new bike, they get it done, and they do it well.
Stephen Schwab
No longer closer to home; in fact, way on the other side of town, but so worth going to. The young salesman knew his stuff and really helped me find what I needed, and das looking for.
Martin Strobel
Sales people are super helpful without being pushy. There was plenty of stock to look at even with the supply chain issues we've all been hearing about lately.
Miguel Jara

What can I say. They are the best in seattle. They have great selection, knowledgeable and helpful sales people and a great looking bike shop.
Terry Wadkins
I've had good experiences from the service guys here, but the culture of the retail staff is snobbish, immature and disinterested.
Chas Douglass
Awesome service to fix my trike which is out of their specialty area. They went the extra mile to figure it out and provide quality, friendly service -- and didn't even charge me for it.
Klaus Kallesøe
Great store, Awesome staff (Morgan). Morgan gave us a patient walk-through of all the ebikes and more. Thanks

I can't lie, I am rating the dumpster. Over the last 4 years I have literally pulled 100's of dollars in parts out of there.
Dave Garred
Super solid place with good selection and friendly people. Biggest downside is that they can't keep up with business (good problem to have). Expect a bit of a wait.
Chris Rupp
They're always really busy, but when you can get seen for help (in the service department), they're always super friendly and helpful.
