HUGE thank you to Mark. Was looking for an experienced wheelbuilder to put together my long-time dream of a generator hub. I had just about the best experience anyone could ask for as a customer. Rest of the details are below. Thank you so much Mark! Mazel Tov on the wedding, hope you have the most special time. Placed a phone call about 6 weeks ago, Mark answered on the second ring. Just a couple of open-ended questions later and we proceeded to spend about 35 minutes yammering about the deepest topics of spoke selection, thread prep compounds, rim widths, etc. It was a pleasure, I couldn't believe someone in a typical "customer service rep" position would be so passionate and take so much energy and care to educate a customer with no guarantee of ROI. Fast forward a week, and he's prepped for me about [4] different quotes with different configurations and prices, better and more detailed even than requested. I think about it, make my choice, and head in to put down my deposit. Mark is efficiently chipping away at a repair, upgrade, or similar. He greets me immediately, carefully arrives at a stopping point, then devotes his full attention. Another quality half an hour of discussion about the finer points, and I've an order put together. The whole time he is professionally deflecting phone calls and checking in with other customers with great skill to make each feel attended to while also delivering world class service. Within one month, all the parts have arrived and Mark has assembled the wheel. We're on time and on budget. I had to be that pain in the behind person to attempt to install this myself, but Mark was more than generous enough to take care to teach me a thing or two about the process. Hopefully I won't bungle it up too much! Appreciate you so much Mark!

I'm a 2X customer. Back in 1988 I purchased a steel Davidson Discovery frame from Cupertino Bike Shop in Santa Clara, CA. My friends and I selected components, and I've put many K miles on it, updating components and never touching the frame (other than a new paint job). Still love that bike. Over the past 5 months I worked closely with Bill and Mark on a new custom titanium bike with a rather unique drive train to support steep climbing with replaced knees and hips. Just took possession last week. The bike fits like an old leather glove and the drive train performs superbly!!! The paint scheme is similar to that on my Discovery, but still different. Great work Bill and Mark!!!!

Even though I bought my Davidson bike second hand, when I called to get an part upgrade installed (a much better crankset) they were able to get to my bike almost immediately, install the newer part (which I hadn't bought from them) and even allowed me to watch the whole procedure--from a safe social distance and with masks, of course! Mark, the tech, answered all of my questions completely, and there were a fair number of them! I could tell he knew what he was doing and he even suggested a couple of simple upgrades to do to enhance what he was already doing, all for a very reasonable price! The bike road better than ever and I couldn't be happier with with the service he did on it. A VERY positive experience. I will happily recommend this shop to anyone needing a new performance bike or service on one in the future.

This product is “first cabin” all the way and I could not be happier. First ride gives every guarantee you’ll ever need that it is the highest quality most responsive bicycle one could find from any material or price point. I live by a buy it once buy it right life style and I’m sorry I didn’t buy one 25 years ago. Caring was obviously number one in every step of building my bike. This product is truly a functional no, perfectly perfect piece of art that doubles as the most rideable and pretty bike I have ever had the pleasure to experience. Get on one these! Thanks bill!
