I had a great experience here. The staff is welcoming, helpful, and passionate; plus, the shop has community/youth engagement programs. I went in with a newly acquired bike asking about fixing it up. The technician showed and explained to me why the bike was not a good fit for my riding. That bike was given to me, so I gave it to the shop. I ended up testing a used bike for sale (good price for a quality brand bike). I left and stopped by later in the day to test it out again and purchased it (they told me to come back if there are any adjustments needed and they'd take care of it). All the staff were super excited for me. Emanuel showed me his bike and invited me to their Friday community rides. They even helped me get my bike on my roof rack. I've never felt so welcome in a bike shop, it's a nice atmosphere, I'll definitely be back.

Really good coffee drinks and incredible customer service! My daughter got a smoothie sample while we were deciding on what drinks to order and she loved it. We also bought a small bell for her bike and we’re happy about our whole experience.

I stopped in over the summer for them to fix a flat on my son's 12" bike. They repaired the tire but didn't have the tubing available so they took my name and number and said it would take a week. It ended up taking 2-3 weeks but they followed up with me as promised. The young man inside the shop named Will was very nice to my kids and I. The gal who oversaw the coffee area was very nice also. They were so welcoming, I really appreciated the great service.

I got both wheels stolen off my bike outside a Twins game. Brought it here and for less the cost of a "premium tuneup" at one of the local chains, I got them replaced and a tuneup that made the bike run better than the chain's tuneup. Will definitely be back for my future biking needs.

I am thrilled to have a bike repair shop in the neighborhood! Not only that, but they strive to serve the community by keeping repairs affordable as well as educating people about bicycle care and maintenance. My son's bike chain kept falling off when shifting and the front brake was not working quite right so I took the bike in to get it looked at, thinking it may take a few weeks before we would get it back. I don't remember his name, but the bike mechanic was amazing and worked on it while I waited so my 5 year old could have his bike back today. He explained to me what was wrong, how he fixed it, and how to prevent issues in the future. To top it off, he only charged me $15 for labor! Amazing! I told my little guy he may not have a bike for a few weeks, and instead he can ride this weekend. I will be taking our adult bikes there for tune ups soon, and I understand that those could take a week or two (or maybe longer depending on how busy they are), but I was so impressed that the mechanic took the time to fix our little boy's bike right away. They have some used bikes for sale currently in a variety of price ranges, and it sounds like they may eventually sell some new bikes. They also have a nice little coffee shop and indoor and outdoor seating at Venture North, so you can enjoy a beverage while you wait for a quick bike repair or just stop for a coffee or tea. I guess they just recently re-opened under new ownership, and so far I am very impressed. I encourage people to give this little gem of a place your business.

Last Saturday I headed out for a 50 mile ride. I assumed my bike was ready to go because I did a bike overhaul at E-s Bike. 2 miles into the ride the bike was not shifting properly and the chain broke. We were a mile from Venture North Bikes and decided to go. I was immediately greeted and felt like this was a good place to be. I presented my bike issues to the service area. I can not say how much I appreciated the service and the availability of a new chain. The service tech shared a few adjustments that were needed, installed the chain and did a quick review of the bike to make sure it was ready to ride. All this was done for a reasonable fee. Yes, I will return to Venture North Bikes and suggest this shop for service and a cup of coffee. All the best!!!!!

I have purchased 2 bikes from venture north! I love the new owner as well. Such a quality bike shop, very fair prices. They educated mean lot on biking since I'm new to the world and I felt comfortable asking the most embarrassing questions because they made me feel safe to do so. The drinks are good as well. I had a bike built up and am in love! Will come back for necessary repairs and donations in the future.

Great bike shop with knowledgeable mechanics,and good deals on used bikes. Highly recommended. Haven't had their coffee yet, but it adds a nice dimension to the shop. They just need to work on answering their phone.

So glad Venture North survived the pandemic and is back and better than ever. Just had a spring tune-up on my bike and it is riding like a dream. Venture North is always welcoming and James, the bike mechanic really knows his way around the shop. Just rode home in the snow on this spring day and I am ready for summer riding with new brake pads and tires and gears that finally stopped squeaking. Definitely recommend this place for bikes and coffee!

Had a flat a mile or so from Venture North, so I brought it in to see if they could help. They helped me out right away and got me up and running with a new tube. Unfortunately, there must have been glass in the tire, so I flatted 6 blocks away again. Went back and they helped me out again with a new tire and tube! Super good service and the prices were SO good. I'll be back to support them again for their awesome service, highly recommend!

Went here to get my bike checked out before school started because I was nervous it might not some work after living in my closet all winter. I ended up just needing air and a cleaning and they were very kind and it was a short wait! Had the pleasure of meeting Stacy and chatting with him about Venture North and my experience there. :) Will definitely be coming back for the delicious coffee and bike services!

This place rocks! Took my bike in yesterday for just a quick tire and tube change. The employee asked if I had 10 minutes and he could just take care of it really quick. 5-10 Minutes later I was out the door with my tube replaced and I was on my way. Great service, super friendly, and quick turn around. 10/10 would recommend.

This is a great little bike shop. I've been there a few times for repairs and upgrades on my bike, and also for a coffee drink from their cafe. They are always fair and honest, and they do good work. The place isn't as big or fancy as some other shops in the metro, but the employees make up for that. I'm happy to have a place like this in my neighborhood.

This is pretty much the only bike shop in North Minneapolis. Luckily, it's a good one. It's small, but has a dedicated staff who are friendly to talk to. They have reasonable prices, a pretty good array of accessories, and espresso!. They warrant their labor and are very good about staying on top of that. They are also evidently involved with the community, which is especially important given it's the only bike shop in North Minneapolis. It's convenient for me when commuting to or from my home in north. It's just a few blocks from the 19 bus route on Olson Highway. I only wish it were open on Sundays. Update: ordered a new bike through them. Casey the head mechanic sat down with me for a long time to go over the geometry and components for a perfect custom build. I think they would have given the same level of service and expertise regardless of budget size. A good experience overall

This is just a great place to get your bike serviced (or even to buy one!). A local "chain" bike store in the cities quoted me some high dollar repairs, but when I took it to Venture North, a simple derailleur adjustment solved my problems. However, they DID find some other mechanical issues missed by the other store and fixed them for me, while still salvaging all the still useable components on my bike. I love their mission, their friendliness and their professionalism. Plus the cost was incredibly reasonable and my bike now works impeccably.

Great little coffee/bike shop! I was staying at an Airbnb down the street and stumbled upon it by accident, and was happy I did. They were playing good music, and the barista took the time to make a special request drink I asked for that wasn’t on the menu, and she did a great job! They even made a little extra and offered it to me for no extra charge. Will definitely visit again if I come back to town!

An honest bike shop that took good care of my needy bike. We also purchased a bike for my partner and it's been great. And we had espresso while we waited. They have a mentoring program that works with the neighborhood kids. I just wish they were open on Sundays.

Happened across Venture North while searching Craig's List for bikes. Really happy I found them! Jody and his crew are great people, I knew very little about bikes and being a tall guy needed something that would be a comfortable ride to work. Jody helped me out, said he was going to build a couple options and call me back. Got the call a few days later, went there on a Saturday and bought my new bike! Just rode to work the first time this morning and it felt great. Love the fact that Venture North is a non-profit also.

I came in here to get some work done. They have good coffee, reliable wifi, access to outlets, and a fun environment. It has a community vibe to it. There were lots of regulars coming and chatting with the employees. You can tell that they care about the neighborhood and community.

Went in to get my bike tuned as I hadn't ridden it for over a year. They took a look at it, filled my tires with air and said I was good to go - that it didn't need a tune up. Saved me $65.

(Translation) Really great place. There wasn't much budget to buy an allroad bike. But the guys picked up a bike for me. Installed a couple of parts and provided a discount. I also had a nice time over a cup of coffee while waiting for my bike. I highly recommend this store. And yet, in the Store, one guy speaks Russian. (Original) Реально великолепное место. Было не много бюджета для покупки аллроуд байка. Но ребята подобрали мне байк. Установили пару деталей и предоставили скидку. Так же приятно провел Время за чашечкой кофе пока ждал свой байк. Очень рекомендую данный магазин. И ещё, в Магазине один парень говорит на русском.
