Instead they got right to the point of what work my bike needed and did it within the time frame they said they would. Repairs were such a great deal! Was so happy to pay such a low price! Best bike shop in the metro! They have the most knowledgeable and the raddest sales people around as well! I send my entire mountain bike team to them because they get the repairs done right the first time and never try to upsell you more than you really need. Their passion for bikes and the cycling community really shines when you enter the store, whether you are just getting into the sport, or are a high end cyclist yourself. They really know their customers and I won't trust any of our bikes to anyone else!

I had an issue with my bike chain and I thought I needed a whole new chain. Low and behold all I needed was a bolt tightened and the chain to be put back on! I am extremely happy that they were so honest about it and they fixed my bike up for free in about 2 minutes. Sincerely a very happy customer.

This is my first time buying a bike from freewheel and I can tell you I will be buying more from them. Matt and Danny have been awesome since day one. The first time I called inquiring about Trek bikes, Danny talked to me for 45 minutes explaining the differences and comparing bikes. Although there is an international shortage for bikes I got mine 6 weeks after ordering it. I am nothing but impressed for the professionalism of the staff and product selection. My bike had a small paint defect but the managers took good care of me making it right. I will be buying more bikes and accessories from them. This is the best bike shop I’ve been to in the twin cities! The staff is super helpful and engaging in a fun and professional way. Their support since COVID 19 has been awesome! I love showing up to a short line and a cooler full of fresh, cold water as I wait my turn to enter their store. They were especially helpful and empathetic to me after my bike light was stolen. From my first call of having the owner receive my request to picking up our serviced bikes I was pleased with support received by the Freewheel team. It's always a good sign with an owner engages in their business, and that left a positive impression on me immediately. Cody was my contact for managing our service, and when the planned repairs escalated into something far more significant he was very helpful in providing clear communication and sharing the different options available. I ended up spending a lot more than I had planned on our work, but because the team was coordinated and clear in managing my expectations throughout the process I felt well supported. When we next consider a new bike purchase at a dealer, I'll be sure to reach out to Freewheel first.

Amazing service. From now on I’ll always be coming to Freewheel for all my bike needs! Originally came in for a Comp Tune-up, but they were booked out pretty far. I was pretty curious/doubtful they could get it done in time because I needed this tune up done before I left on my trip to Utah. They told me to bring my bike in the same week I left, originally quoted me three days (which made me super nervous), but got it done in exactly ONE DAY. I urge anyone to please come to freewheel, super friendly staff, very nice and always clean store, and amazing prices. 10/10. I said it before and I’ll say it again, Freewheel Bike in Minnetonka is the only place I’ll go from now on.

Ordered a fat tire bike to be shipped to Wisconsin that I could not seem to find anywhere locally. Payment and website were easy to use. I received numerous updates from staff when my bike was packed and sent. Packaging was excellent, the bike was wrapped very well and in perfect condition. Nice to have flat fee shipping for bikes. The staff here are friendly, knowledgeable, and very helpful. They are safety-oriented which is important to me and why I am willing to pay a premium for a bike for my teen. He will be doing a lot of riding around town and one of the only things I can control is the safety of the bike he's riding and his helmet. He got a bike he loves at Freewheel. I have some peace of mind. Getting two other bikes tuned up there for this Spring and trust that they will be super safe for their riders. I used to shop Erik's but I was so impressed with the quality of service and attentiveness at Freewheel that I will be recommending them to anyone looking for a quality bike that will last. If you want a cheap bike that might not last and may not be the safest to ride, go somewhere else. If you want a safe bike that rides like a dream and will last years, shop Freewheel.

I wish you had a LIFETIME maintenance repair like the Trek stores in Maple Grove & Ramsey. Why do you only offer a 1 YEAR maintenance program? One of the # 1 reasons I was looking forward to buying a new bike was the free LIFETIME program, but you don't offer it. I bought the bike here because you had it & they didn't. All of the Freewheel shops (total of 9 now) have awesome sales and service staff but I wanted to give a special shout out to Cody Condon, store manager at the new Freewheel Minnetonka store who DOES IT ALL. -Sales, service and mountain bike racer-. With the help of Cody as sales manager, he set me up to test ride the all new nimble Salsa Horsethief, then he switched hats and serviced my current Trek Fuel EX while discussing the different parts/accessories options for my custom build of the Horsethief. I was really impressed at the depth of his product knowledge. We discussed the pro/cons of different parts and he suggested options/accessories I had never heard of. Oh, I forgot to mention, he is an avid mountain biker racer and therefore he has direct experience of the products that he sells. While I was wondering around the store I observed that Cody (and his staff ) provided the same professional knowledge to every customer, regardless of what type of bike they were riding or their skill level. The Freewheel store is also in an excellent location accessible by bike or car. It is just off the Cedar Lake bike trail (north on Virginia ave then west on Cedar lake road) or just south of 394 exiting on Hopkins Crossroads. Throughout the buying process, Cody’s mantra was “don’t worry, I will take care of it”.Truly a wonderful bike buying experience. Thank you. I am looking forward to the new wheels. Dave

While visiting Minneapolis to do some riding on the trails, one of my spokes broke. I took my bike to another bike shop, not Freewheel, and was told that it would take a week to repair my bike, and that no other bike shop would fix it that day. Tried Freewheel and they looked at it right away, and in 15 minutes I was walking out the door, with my bike repaired and ready to ride. Excellent service!
