The staff at MOTC provided terrific, knowledgeable customer service. They helped me find a light, speedy, and comfortable urban commuter fitness hybrid bike at my price point with all of my must-have features. I've biked around Louisville and southern Indiana over 1700 miles so far this year and was looking to upgrade from the heavier medium Giant Cypress used bike that had served me well but I'd outgrown. There was no pressure other than to find the right bike. After multiple visits and test rides and bike adjustments to get just the right fit, I purchased the large Giant Escape 2 with hydraulic disc brakes and swapped in an adjustable stem for the more upright, leisurely, and long-distance city touring I enjoy. The 10% discount customer perk is a good incentive for future cycling needs.

Fantastic group of people to work with! These guys work great with families and take the extra step to ensure your bike is suited to your needs, size, and budget. I walked in on a whim and was very impressed with all of their staff. The spirit of that place makes everyone feel like family. Look forward to buying a bike from them tomorrow!

Ladies and gentlemen, middle of town cycling sets the example of sales customer service. A perfect balance of encouragement without being overly pushy. Sales staff was super helpful and quick to offer a test ride. Prices are very competitive as well. There is no need to go to any other bicycle shop.

Stopped by here whilst charging the car outside on a road trip. Stayed and had a conversation whilst I waited and got shown around, not realizing they had actually closed - they did not tell me this as they just wanted to have a talk about bikes and the industry and honestly made me come back and find this place on google maps to write this review. They showed me places to cycle in the area if I was deciding to stay the night etc. Great shop, loads of gear and huge amount of bikes + really interesting E-Bikes. Exactly the kind of shop I would want to work at or shop at. 10/10

Unexpected customer I was in the area for the bakery next door that’s no longer in operation. I went into the bike shop to just look around and ended up putting one on layaway for 30 days. Looking forward to getting back out riding again. One of the accessories I was looking to buy are now deemed unsafe. I know I’m a dinosaur but the staff didn’t make me feel like one. All around very helpful. I’ve included a picture of the bike I’m buying. Thanks again!!!!!!!

I stopped here to get a strap to tie front wheel to the frame for the bike I picked up from a private buyer. They helped me by giving a velcro tape (for free) and secured the wheel. Although this is not a review of any service they performed on the bike, 5 stars for helping when they could have easily gone the other way.

Great service. Just had a gear cable break on my commute and the service team fixed it in just a few minutes after I arrived (for a really reasonable price). Glad to have them in the neighborhood

Drove up from Florida for a bike they had in stock I wanted. I could not have asked for a better experience. Every person in the shop took care of adjusting a few things for me on the bike to sales I got a fair trade in on my bike and a great price on the bike I purchased. Everyone was friendly it was a pleasure and worth the drive I highly recommend this shop.

Went and bought a new bike for our daughter. Had great help from Nira. Able to ride the bike in the large parking lot next door and make sure it was right for her. They take trade-ins and gave us a very fair price. Looking forward to the new bike!

My KHS had been riding funny and the gears were being sluggish. They brought it right in and made some adjustments. Rides like a champ now! The mechanic who inspected my bike was very knowledgeable and even talked about future upgrades. I really liked the environment I will definitely be back because my wife needs a bike!

They were able to make adjustments that other shops had told me were not possible on my bike in the past and did it on a timely basis and was very competitively priced. Great experience. Took my son’s bike in for a repair on the brakes. Got there an hour before they closed and they still did the repair right there on the spot. Super fast and reasonably priced. Store was very nice and everyone was nice and friendly. Made my son’s day.

I've been to this store twice. First to buy a bike for my wife for her birthday, and then again to buy some helmets and a couple accessories. Both times the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. Easily the best shop in Louisville! Nira is such a pleasure to talk to and is genuinely interested in meeting all of your cycling needs. She has gone out of her way to make sure I’ve had everything I needed for my races or other cycling adventures. Was recently in for a well deserved wheel upgrade. My new Boyds do not disappoint! I see a few KOMs in my near future. 👑 Richard is the man too! He can fix literally anything you throw at him. Oh, your TT bike has a special brake caliper that seized up? My man literally took it apart and made it work just like new. He is incredibly knowledgable and great to hang out with. I also hear he wraps the best bar tape in town. Just sayin’. The rest of the staff is great too! I can go on, and on. Love this shop and the people there! If you’re visiting and need a pre-ride repair or tune up, this is your shop. If you’re new to town (or even cycling) and want a shop that greets you like you’re one of the gang when you walk in, this is your shop. If you’re a LouCity native and just need an affordable and trustworthy shop you can rely on, you guessed it, Middle of Town is YOUR shop! Oh, and have you seen their kits?! 🔥 Great service AND style!
