The customer service is outstanding and these guys really know their stuff. I went in for a new bike and they got me set up and tuned up with exactly what I needed. Took the time to learn about me, my riding preferences, and found a bike that was practical for how I ride with no upselling. Even picked up some new gear to go with the new wheels. Prices were fair and competitive, very reasonable. Overall, I'm impressed with their operation and I'll definitely be going back.

Once upon a time (like a week ago) I was having a rough day. My rear hub on my Brand new Stumpjumper evo blew up, while on a hill climb in a nearby park. Pawls were spilling out on the trail, shards of metal flowed freely. My day was done. So I started started calling around for warranty work on a specialized. Found this shop and the guy was super helpful and knowledgeable on the phone. Specialized almost lost a customer with the process that was ahead of me. JC saved my loyalty to the specialized brand and took care of all of my biking needs. This shop has a tough parking situation even though I have been lucky and parked right by the front door twice now. You can't turn left into the store so follow GPS when it takes you around back... Once you get in though the whole shop is spotless. I felt bad, thinking dirt might fall off my bike, but I thought if he puts half the care into my bike that he puts into his work shop then I'm set. Just got the Bike back today and as expected he went above and beyond earning a patron for life.

I can’t thank Rick and JC enough for helping me get my tri bike set up. They came highly recommended from the employees at Fleet Feet in St. Matts. Best customer service experience I’ve had in recent memory. If you want to shop locally as well as getting the best service in the area my advice would be to visit Rick and JC at Cyclesmiths.

Pro tune-up on my Scott MB this week ahead of a long road trip and it looks and functions better than the day I bought it 3-4 years ago. JC does an amazing job and the bike is beyond spotless. The best tune and detail I have had on any vehicle I have owned ever. Cannot say enough positive things about these guys and their attitude and approach.

Louisville has many great bike shops, but this is the best. I have purchased three bicycles and a bunch of accessories there. Owner Rick is friendly and knowledgeable and mechanic JC is an artist with a wrench. Recommend unqualifiedly.

I just got my bike fitted by JC with the comprehensive option. He was fantastic. Very knowledgeable and personable to really customize your cycling experience. We had a chat on my cycling goals and what's been troubling me about my out of the box fit. He fine tuned to my preferences and my bike now fits like a glove!! I highly recommend anyone in Louisville to check this shop out. They have a solid range of bikes and accessories and the shop is well organized.

Great guys. Picked up a hard to find bike here. They sized me and got the suspension dialed I so that the bike was ready to ride out the door. Louisville is lucky to have tons of good shops and this is certainly one of them.

He also took the time to send me a shipment confirmation, which lots of shops don't even care to do. My favorite bike shop! This place is wonderful for bike repairs—even if you own less expensive bikes like my family. The new bikes they have look wonderful, but are on the high end of things. But for bike repairs and tune-ups for any bike this is a great place to go. They are so nice (including their dog), and their prices are reasonable. A+!

From the first time I walked into the shop, I was impressed with Rick Smith's wealth of knowledge. He was always focused on making my ride better, and not on selling me something. I went through a custom road bike build, which he guided step by step. I retrospect, his decisions were spot on, and made the build into something far better than I could have done without his expertise. I did an in-depth fitting with Rick, and improved my ride even more. When I needed servicing, the turnaround was always fast, and the work was excellent. I have never met a bike dealer, either before or after who was more knowledgeable or more helpful that Rick Smith. I highly recommend his shop and Rick in particular, without any reservation!

Great place to find, buy, or fix anything bicycle! Rick's place is like those cool bike shops you see in Colorado and California! Cool bikes and just the best service! Just went in to pick the brain of some well-versed bike aficionados and met Rick. Very relaxed, no-purchase-pressure atmosphere. Rick showed me upstairs to the singlespeeds and ran through all fit, pricing, and customization options. He even offered to knock down the price of the bike he suggested due to a few scratches, which didn't bother me but he did it anyway. Excellent staff, not at all "bike snob" like you might expect elsewhere. They also hold bikes for a certain period of time if you give them a little basic info. I will be coming here for my all my future bike needs for sure.

These guys are great. They carry awesome brands and have top notch service. I like them so much I travel 1.5 hours to do business with them. Most times they can do business over the phone and ship stuff directly to me. Heck they even call me when they are running crazy sales or run across blowout deals on gear, bikes, etc. Most importantly they don't talk down to newbies. Give them a shot for your next bike!

I purchased two bikes from here. One used bike for me and a new one for my wife. The guys in the shop were very helpful and had the bikes ready to go in no time! On a side note, the place was very clean. Not to important but I take it as a sign of how they run their business. The wife and went out riding the next day and had a terrific ride!

I'm from Texas visiting my daughter for Christmas Holidays. She bought me a bicycle for Christmas. I research bicycle shops in Louisville, looking for Delta Fork Lock. An employee named Richard from this shop had to order one for me. Within a few hours the Delta Fork Lock was ready for me. By the next day I was traveling back to Texas with my GIANT Bicycle lock in place on the back of my truck. I'm very impress with the quality of business they provided.

Rick and crew run a stellar shop, customer service is bar none. I goofed when putting in an order and thought I'd just have to eat my mistake but Rick went out of his way to help get me back on the road with a better fit. I've tried to recommend them to a couple folks already, but they just knowingly point to the Cyclesmiths stickers on their seat tubes and say "Yeah, aren't they great!" I'll be back here anytime I need to lighten my wallet a little.

Cyclesmith's is a great shop, been going there for a number of years now. Rick knows pretty much everything about bikes and so do all the guys in the shop. Scott Solace I bought a couple of years ago has proven to be a fantastic bike. They do not oversell you at Cyclesmith's, just quote the most economical way you can accomplish your goal. Very large inventory including Scott, Pinarello, etc.

Rick Smith set up a tri fit for me on my bike. In a few minutes and a couple of tweaks and turns everything was fitting and feeling fine. He knows bikes and he knows riders, because he rides. Courteous, friendly, knowledgeable - I can't wait to get some workouts in.

Rick and his staff always have gone above and beyond for not only me but also for the athletes that I train and people that I send in looking to get a bike or upgrade. Extremely knowledgable about the industry, bike selection, and the type of riding. Any time maintenance is an issue they are able to usually get my bike returned to me within 24 hours which is key when training can't wait. He is F.I.S.T. and BG certified so they are able to get you on the right bike the first time.

Very nicely organized and clean bike shop with a nice selection of BMC and Scott bikes and the owner and the mechanic are very knowledgeable. The only thing that turned me off is that when I asked about the cost of upgrading a mechanical shifting BMC Road Machine 02 in matte black to Di2 (because the only Di2 option they had was a yellow bike), they acted like it would be too much trouble for them to do that and that I wouldn't be able to afford it. After a little more prompting, the gentleman that was helping me took my name and phone number and said he would get back to me, but I never heard from him. I do have two friends that have purchased Fuji bikes there in the past and are very satisfied with the level of service they get when they go in for maintenance. They are the only BMC dealer in town and know this, so don't go in expecting any discounts on the BMC bikes, which tend to be a bit on the pricey side - but like they say, you get what you pay for. And one more thing, don't park on the street in front of the store - it is a very busy and narrow two lane road. While I was in the store, a lady came in and told me she knocked my mirror off. Use the parking lot across the street.

Still a Great shop, models and accessories on floor that I've only seen on the internet. Museum like collection of revived retro bikes for sale. Old school stuff rocks. Pedal gremlin struck again. Bought combo flat, and what I thought was MTB cleat pedals, actually SPD, for Tour de Lou. More new pedals. Last year brought bike from our of town but forgot shoes. Bought DMR flat aluminum pedals super cheap for work around.
