Kate’s is the BEST place for a manicure in Wilmington! I’ve been going for years & love the service. I always get dip powder on my nails, which lasts about a month for me. My nail tech Linh is very talented & can easily do designs (see photos). She’s also fast & I’m usually in & out within an hour. Can’t say enough good things!

Scheduled an appointment for my partner and she loved the nail technician Lynn. Lynn was very friendly and social. She made suggestions and gave explanations for each suggestion. Lynn checked in periodically to see if my partner liked how the nails were turning out during the process. Great service, comfortable environment, and she can’t wait to go back.

Hi went today with my mom got the deluxe spa pedicures. Made appointments at 10 am and we were taken right away. Tina was my tech and was professional and through. My feet look lovely. They did a mask, foot massage including hot stones. My feet look beautiful. Worth the $59. Made my next appointment for the wonderful service. Did two colors for fun!

I recently found this salon from a recommendation from a friend. This is the BEST nail salon and I cannot say enough good things about it. The place is extremely clean and beautifully decorated, the nail techs are welcoming, professional and extremely nice! I have gotten two dip power full sets done by Kate and Angel and both came out looking absolutely beautiful. I prefer to pick a time so I don’t always know who will do my nails and at this place is does not matter, I’ve always had a great experience. If you’re thinking about this place, GO! It is my go to salon along with many of my friends.

I will ONLY come here for my pedicures I will not go anywhere else in Delaware. I get my nails cut super short and I have never had any issues with them growing in weird or getting an infection (which happens anywhere else I let them cut my hails this short). Also, if you, like me, put glitter polish on your nails at home and then struggle with taking it off they do an amazingly good job at it without totally damaging my nails. Cannot recommend enough!

This is an edit to my original review (found below). I changed my initial rating from a 3 to a 5. The reason is that I made the decision to give this salon another try. I went in without an appointment. I was told to pick out my color. I was brought to a station where the young lady wrapped my nails. I was then brought to another station to start removal of the dip powder polish. After the young lady started removing the dip powder (sparkles, very hard to get off) I was brought to yet another station to have someone else do my nails because they figured out I was the one that gave the review I previously made. Miss Lihn did a BEAUTIFUL job!!!! My nails look gorgeous. She was personabIe and friendly. She made suggestions on color because she thought a different color would be more suitable as I am a sparkle girl. The color she chose was perfect. I will be back again and I will make an appointment with Miss Lihn. - This is my original review...I made an appointment and was able to get in on the same day. When I arrived, I was greeted very nicely. The one thing I noticed was that they kept insisting on a Mani-Pedi. I had clearly stated I wanted a dip manicure. Sidenote I did not get a Mani Pedi. As for the appointment itself, Mary rushed through getting my nails prepped for the dip powder. After she finished putting the dip powder on, comes sanding and making the nails look polished and pretty before the topcoat. Mary rushed through this process did not sand/file the way they should have been sanded and filed. This makes for a difficult topcoat application. As she was putting on the last coat topcoat, shine coat, whatever you wanna call, it there was not enough liquid on the brush so a couple of my nails are not as finished as they should be. They have brush marks in them and just are not as polished as is to be expected. These types of things are rampant in nail salons. I thought with a 4.9 rating that there would not be an issue such as the issues I mentioned let alone not enough topcoat on a brush to make the nail look nice. I then was forced to sit and let my nails “dry“ for five minutes plus and even then she had to make me sit with the fan on my nails. One suggestion is using the ultraviolet light to harden the nails it will go much faster and the nails will look better. I don’t know if I will go back or not. If you go and you get a dip manicure make sure that the topcoat brush is filled with topcoat. You will definitely notice a difference.

I have been going to Kate’s for many many years and I can’t imagine going anywhere else for nail services. Everyone there is always kind, welcoming, and makes you feel so comfortable! They are extremely professional and my nails always come out perfect. I love that they check with me about my nail shape and color as we go to make sure the outcome is what I want. The pedicures are amazing, too! You’re in for a pampering at Kate’s.

I love Kate's Salon and have been a loyal customer here for at least four or five years. I highly recommend their services. Kate is the owner of this small, locally owned business and she bends over backwards to satisfy her clients. I have always been incredibly pleased by the level of personalized service here by Kate and her employees. On the very rare times I have had an issue with a nail breaking or chipping early, I have called Kate, and she was very happy to remedy the problem immediately to my satisfaction and without charge. Kate and her colleagues work with me to always give me exactly what I am looking for, no matter if it is the exact shape or color and I am very particular about what I want. I love Kate and her Spalon. I am sure you will also! My daughter, aunt, and mother even come here now, too!

My experience at Kate’s spalon was better than what I had even expected. I was so nervous to get the ombré nail color because other salons I have been to have really messed them up! Kate was so welcoming for it being my first time here. She took the time to see what I wanted and gave me exactly what I wanted. They looked better than I picture I had shown her! What a gem in Delaware. The Salon is very clean and everyone is so sweet. I get the Spa Pedicure from Tracey and it is worth every penny. My special treat to myself every 3 weeks. I have been going to Kates SPAlon since I was in High school, now 8 years out of high school it’s still the only place I’ll go in New Castle County. The atmosphere is comfortable, they do a beautiful job, they never rush your manicure or pedicure no matter how busy they are, and they’re always staffed properly so the waits really aren’t an issue. Any time I’ve made an appointment they’ve taken me right on time. Amazing selection of colors, styles, etc. Cannot recommend enough!

Skilled technicians, lovely atmosphere and immaculate stations. Kate's is both an excellent salon and a friendly place to relax. Prices are reasonable and competitive for their services. Manicures of all kinds are available and after having some terrible experiences at other salons, I appreciate their skill and careful attention to detail. Pedicures are done for customers who rest in massage chairs. Waxing is also available. Best nail salon in Wilmington, by far.

The prices are in the right ballpark for the services being presented. Our clients are offered beverages and/or snacks on every visit which is a bonus dealing with Arts/Entertainment and Media people.

I have lived in the area for over 10 years and have bounced from one nail salon to the next, visiting most in the area. This one is by far the best--no need for me to go anywhere else! They always take time doing your pedicure, even if they are busy. The first time I went, Tracy did my pedicure and I have never looked back. She is very meticulous and professional. The salon is very nice and clean, and they offer you a complimentary drink--water, cokes, etc.

Surprisingly reasonable prices considering it is located in Greenville. Very clean and comfortable atmosphere. Everytime I go I always have a relaxing "zen" experience. They treat their walk-ins just as well as their regular customers. I would highly recommend it!

One of the best nail salons in the area. This place is pristine clean and beautiful decorated. It’s the only nail salon in area that does not have the odor smells probably because they don't do Acrylic nails. My gel manicure lasted forever. I'll def be back.
