This is a great place to go for tanning. I've been going here for almost a year. Everyone that works here is very friendly and helpful. The cost for tanning and tanning products is reasonable. The location is great for me, and for being downtown, is still convenient to get to and parking has never been an issue for me. It is always clean. I highly recommend Tan PDX.

This is a good tanning salon. The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable, unlike many salons I've been to in the past. They always make me feel welcomed (even when I show up right before they close, which happens often because I work late!) I pay $45/month for the lowest level bed, but you can always pay here and there for upgrades as you please, if you dont want to commit to higher level beds. I see great results even from the lowest level beds! They also have a very good selection of afforadable lotions. I highly recommend this place :)

I’ve been coming to TANPDX for about a year now and really enjoy all of the employees who work here. The tanning beds and VersaSpa spray tanning are all nice and new and they change their tanning bed bulbs frequently (I’ve seen it myself, Brooke is awesome, she does it all!) The salon is always kept very clean. The pricing is great for what this tanning salon has to offer! Another convenient service here that I enjoy doing is the 20 minute professional teeth whitening treatment. It lightens my teeth several shades after just 1 treatment. I’m looking forward to trying out their brand new red light therapy bed too! Highly recommend this tanning salon, I’m a customer for life!

I really recommend TANPDX. Until this year I wasn't sure about tanning because it was so unknown to me and I felt nervous about going to certain tanning salons. Then after doing some research I found TANPDX and I now only will ever go to them. I highly recommend their VersaSpa spray tans and their teeth whitening which I used to do and now I also recommend their standing beds. The staff there are incredibly nice and honest and, even more importantly for me, approachable. Don't be afraid to ask questions or do research to get what you're looking for. I am fair skinned and have very sensitive skin too so it took time to figure out what was best for me but the staff here was patient and helped me figure it all out, They also have great products and memberships. Now both I and some of my friends go too. Five stars! Thank you!

My first spray tan experience was hands down the best in general tanning experience ever! I’m so tired of pushy sales people at chain salons..but Brook was amazing! She made sure I had everything I needed and laid out all of my options, so I got to pick what was truly best for me, my skin tone and the look I wanted. I’ll be honest and say I was nervous going in ../but now I’ll definitely be back! There’s something to be said about a local salon like this that is small business and deep rooted in the community, they actually care about their clients !

I've been looking for a good spot to get versa spray tans for a long while now. I tried Palm Beach- they're pretty expensive and whatever they use is not versa and makes me look a bit orange. Tan Republic- their booth was down for weeks before I gave up trying use my prepaid credits. So, pale and crestfallen, I called Tanpdx because a lot of through spray tan prices simply aren't listed on their site and I'm SO glad I did. I talked to Brooke who either is the owner or has the work ethic of somebody who works as if it were their investment. She was helpful, warm and welcoming, and professional. I asked her how often the spray booth is down and she began to explain why booths go down in the first place and how she herself not only maintains and repairs her spray booth, but that she even has backup parts on hand- I mean, this girl knows her stuff! And to top it off, when she told me the monthly price on the spray packages, i knew these guys aren't trying to overprice their tans and truth me told- it was less than they could charge AND those extras bronzer packs that you have to pay for elsewhere are free with you package. When I showed up later that day, parking was easy and Brooke was right at the front desk to walk me through everything. Their space is very clean, very modern, very open feel to it. The spray tan room is big enough to comfortable get undressed and dressed again without slamming your elbow on a wall. Everything you need is right there- even little complementary chapsticks! Lastly, the booth was heated and very comfortable to tan in. Over night my tan developed and my husband couldn't stop staring at me and telling me how pretty I am without makeup! Haha that's how good these tans are! I know this is a long review, but if you're on the fence - you don't need to ponder any longer! This is your place! Call them, you will thank me!

The cleanest salon I’ve ever been to, plus they have great quality equipment (not outdated cracked beds with hair and dust stuck under the acrylic.) And the staff is lovely! Brooke made the signup process super easy and painless, and Whitney has already learned what beds I prefer and let’s me know if it’s ready or how much of a wait time there is for those ones without me even asking. I love the flexibility with TANPDX as well. Being able to tan once a day, rather than an exact 24 hours (to the minute with some salons) between tans is important to me because my schedule is not exactly the same every day. Highly recommend for tanning, as my doctor told me, even UV from tanning beds is significantly beneficial as with the sun in helping our bodies create vitamin D, and help fend off Seasonal Affective Disorder. I've been tanning for years so I've experienced many salons and their different atmospheres, prices, staff, and how clean the salons are. Tan PDX is my favorite tanning salon in Portland. Every single time I go in there the girls are such sweethearts, while also being extremely knowledgeable about the products. The salon beats my expectations on how clean the beds are and even the front lobby and bathroom. Being able to do single, month, or memberships makes it the perfect solution for whatever you're tanning for with affordable prices. When I need a little extra color I use their Versa spray tan booth which always gives me amazing color and I've never had an issue with it they keep up on the solutions and go over everything with you to make sure it turns out perfect.

TanPDX is a great place to relax and beautify! There are several tanning bed options, a Versa spa spray tanning booth, a red light therapy bed and teeth whitening. I like the cheery staff and all the attention to detail here. It's clean and comfortable. Easy access on foot or plenty of parking if you drive. The prices are reasonable, especially if you sign up for one of their many package options.

Brooke is really personable and extremely helpful. For someone who's tanned in Montana as well as Colorado, it's different that my eye protection is not provided but that's minor it shows TanPDX really cares that your eyes are well protected. Prices include the tax which is nice and she even offered me a discount on my package since I'm getting married! Great service and place if you aren't looking for a ton glitz and glam out of your tanning beds and setup[: highly recommended!!!!

Living in Portland, we all need an extra dose of sunshine and warmth, in the winter especially. And don't we all look better with a little bit of sun kiss? I've tried several other tanning salons around town but I have to say, most of them are kinda weird - big chain, over selling, bad music playing, old equipment, etc. The staff at TanPDX are friendly and helpful but never pushy with products or upgrades. The facilities are clean and top of the line. The music is always jammin' and you can play your own if you prefer. And (I think) their pricing is fair. It's a great value overall. That's why I'll keep going back!

I've been coming here since they opened and they have consistently impressed. At one point I was unhappy with a spray tan I got and they said they'd been having trouble with the spray type so they changed it and happily gave me another one for free. I LOVE this salon, I’ve been coming here every winter for the past 3ish years now (my California roots hit me one winter when my fam pointed out my pale Oregon vibe) but not only does it help me keep some color it also helps with seasonal mood problems so I highly recommend light therapy if that resonates with you! I love Brooke and her team, shes always super sweet and professional at the same time and they keep a super CLEAN salon and have the top technology beds levels 1-5 as well as a Versa Spa for sunless tanning (I still need to try it...) and more recently a red light therapy bed! (Also need to try!) If you’re looking to try out a salon in Portland, I highly recommend you give them a shot!

I am new to tanning and Tan PDX has been a great experience. The staff are friendly and accommodating and gave me great information about the tanning process. Their rates are very reasonable, and the experience worth the money as sunlight is hard to get in Portland this time of year. Their facility is clean and modern and there is hardly ever a wait for tanning beds. I would recommend Tan PDX to PSU students as it is only one block away from campus. I come to this salon to use redlight therapy to help with my mood and acne. The redlight room is always so clean and relaxing and they always have an essential oil diffuser going, which I love! I also occasionally spray tan, and I love this salons spray tan booth!!! Its called a "Versa" I used to use the Mystic machine at Palm Beach Tan but I always came out looking orange/red. An employee named Brooke told me the Versa machine uses more purple undertones to achieve a deeper brown color, while the mystic machine uses reds. Also, in the Versa you don't have to pay to do certain colors like you have to do at palm beach tan. Overall, great experience with this salon!

I pay for level 5 membership every time I go to use the stand up the bulbs are out. The worst part the girls don't even let you know ahead of time and don't seem to care that you are tanning without all the bulbs. I'm downgrading my membership because I don't think it's fair that I am paying for a bed that is never fully working. They usually take care of you but lately they don't seem to care that you aren't having a positive experience.
