Shayla did an absolutely amazing job on my hair. She did highlights, toner and a cut. I want to add some blonde and she exceeded my expectations. Also, my interactions with instructor Nissa were great. You can tell how passionate she is when it comes to her profession. She is super helpful and every time she came to check in she always had a kind and encouraging word. I have also gotten a ton of compliments and it's only been 4 hours. It was a wonderful experience all around.

Received a wonderful pedicure from Tracy! Great services, friendly students/staff, and clean salon. The only reason I didn’t give it five stars is because I didn’t realize they don’t have traditional pedicure chairs. They provided a comfortable lounge chair and foot soak, but it did not include a back massager or jetted bath. If these elements are not essential for you then I highly recommend!

I went here to darken my hair color for the fall. I went in wanting a full, singular color all the way around, and my stylist Sophia suggested toning 2-ways and adding a money piece for a pop. I was hesitant, but it all worked out beautifully in the end. I was pleased with my hair, and walked out of there feeling ready to take on the world! Sophia is great at what she does, and I highly recommend her!!

I have only ever had absolutely amazing treatments and experiences at this salon- they really do know how to run a teaching school and business, let me tell ya! :) I have gotten everything from facials, pedicures, different haircuts and occasional bang trims at this location, and I’ve never had any issues, confusion, or lack of understanding when it’s come to what I’ve wanted in the past, which really just helps me relax and enjoy my time during an appointment (which is totally the whole point, right- to just be able to sit back and trust the professional(s))? It’s wonderful, because no matter who I’m seeing on any given day, they’re all great at what they do from what I’ve seen, heard, and experienced myself- and the best part is, if you get scared off by the idea of a “teaching school”- you even get to handpick someone based on their experience/level within the academy (if that matters to you)! :) The true blessing for both introverts, extroverts (and us ambiverts, as well) is that the people working here all seem totally fine with making conversation (or not talking at all sometimes, which I’ve preferred on my busier, more stressful days when my energy is lower) throughout whatever treatments you’re getting, so feel free to loosen up or just enjoy your spa session quietly, they’re not pushy or generally tend to lean either way, and that- to me- is great customer service/hospitality. Also, I love the fun banter and interactions between coworkers/students here as well, it always makes it feel like I’m sitting in a room of casual friends, it’s absolutely delightful :). As an added bonus, they also always have some upper echelon come over and check your cut and styling at the end of your hair appointment (to give their opinion and constructive criticisms on the students work) and nobody is ever afraid to ask for help or for somebody else’s consult or ideas from beginning to end. Don’t even get me started on their insanely low price points in every area they specialize in, by the way (not even including their constant deals and added savings- they just had a “back to school” discount, and then ANOTHER Fall/Holiday discount I believe? Absolutely insane, I love it so much)... All in all, I absolutely love how inclusive, hygienic, and even how well lit this establishment is, it’s quite wonderful! If you’ve read this far it’s time to book that appointment ASAP! Go for it, you won’t regret it, I promise you that :). I’ll see you guys next month for my next haircut, ladies and gents! :)

Amazing community. Less like a traditional salon and more like a community. I went in for a shadow opportunity to be able to see the school and learn how they run (I'm a high school student looking for after high school opportunities) and I am so interested in being a part of their family at Summit Salon Academy. Rob did my haircut and it was excellent along with also making me feel comfortable with letting someone besides myself have control of my hair for the first time in months, even with my high anxiety and being super ticklish when having my head shaved. I went in to see Liv for a haircut and style. I have really fine hair and desperately need layers for movement and texture. Liv gave me the perfect amount and even showed me how to style my curtain bangs. I asked if there was anyway I could get a manicure last minute too and she introduced me to Bernadette, who gave me a beautiful gel manicure. I’ve gotten my brows waxed with Jenasi a few times now. My brows really have no shape to them, but she is able to give me a perfect arch every single time. She is kind, bright, welcoming, and just lovely to be around. She is willing to work with any shape requests, and talks you through the process the whole time, so you have nothing to worry about! I don't usually find myself needing a salon, but recently a friend got me on to trying facials and I decided to give it a go. This was my first ever facial, and Katie made sure I had an awesome experience. From start to finish I felt welcome and pampered. The facial was very relaxing and I left feeling super duper glowy and gorg. The price is unbeatable and I can't wait to go back and try more of their services. Highly recommend--everyone, from the person who checked me in to the person who checked me out, to all the people in between, were unbelievably kind and welcoming.

Great place to get salon services without breaking the bank. This is a school so you will be having students work on you but they are guided by the instructors as needed. Be sure to communicate clearly what you want beforehand to give them time to prepare, especially if you're getting your hair colored. Also keep in mind that since these are students they aren't getting paid for their services, I'm sure they would appreciate tips :) I've been here a few times and have always had good experiences. The staff and students are lovely and communicate well. Everything is kept clean and organized and the asthetic is great. I'll definitely keep coming back!

Cali is fantastic. She is very knowledgeable and and is great to talk to. My only complaint is the business hours not being open on Saturday, perhaps you could stay open later one night a week or a few hours on Saturday. I’m sure everybody would be making money! Something to consider.

Everyone at the Summit Salon wonderfully accommodating of my 93 and a half year old mother. I had meant to book just a basic shampoo, but accidentally booked a shampoo with blow dry and style. The salon student gave my mother a shampoo with blowout and style, spending over an hour with her and being very gentle, solicitous, and careful. My mother's hair looked wonderful! And then the salon charged me only the rate of the flat shampoo that I had meant to book. What a bargain!!

Came here a few days ago with damaged box dyed bleach in my hair, and was given professional advice (unlike other salons) They dyed my hair to a more fitting color without further damaging it and I love it so much. Cindy and Makayla did such an amazing job and are very kind. This is the only place I trust with my hair the girls know exactly what they’re doing and the customer service is incredible. Absolutely would rate a 10/5.

I have been to other places to get my haircut and nowhere beats their prices, friendliness , and compassion. My very first time in and i will never go anywhere else again, Emily was so nice, I told her about how other places have messed up my hair before and she truly went above and beyond. Asking before cutting off to much if i liked the length so she could make adjustments, putting in layers and a soft A line cut, and styling it, making sure I left with a hair cut I was truly happy with. I was amazed at only having to pay 14$ for this outstanding service when other places charge you well over 20$ and they don't seam to care at all. I will go back to Summit Salon any time i need my hair cut or colored! They also offer other services that i will happily try out.

I don't review as much as I should, but I really want folks to know how special Summit is and what my experience has been here. Two weeks ago, when I came for my color, things went wonky during processing and it didn't look as we had hoped. That happens. What doesn't generally happen is that the manager and another stylist jumps in to help make it better, staying well past their shifts to make it so, with a friendly, cheerful and fun attitude that made it feel like a good thing. :) Today, they had me come back to give me a free style since we didn't get to that part last time, and I'm even more impressed. My stylist Stephanie (ask for her, folks!) is just as excited about my style as I am, and her talent, friendliness, and professionalism makes me feel lucky to have found her! (and no, I don't work for the salon or anything like that - true story!) And the instructor Josh is just what I'd want in an instructor if I were a student here. He asks questions of the stylists to get them to understand the process and to become the artists they are more fully. If you're a student, consider that. And if you're a client, know that you're in good hands. This place is great, and the people are smiley and friendly. Couldn't recommend it more!

I usually get my hair cut at a high-end men's salon. I decided to try Summit Salon Academy on a whim, and I'm SUPER glad I did. Camille did an amazing job. Just as good as the cut I get with a high-end stylist and it only cost about 1/5 the price. I'll be going back! The stylists here are students with varying amounts of time on "the floor" so expect that services may take a little longer than usual. It's definitely worth it though. And the teachers assist the students as needed to make sure everything is done to salon standards. When I went in everyone was really professional, friendly, and super nice! I re-booked with Camille for my next cut and this is now my go-to place.

This is probably the best salon I have ever been to. I have been here twice to have my hair cut and colored. Both times, the instructor and student did a great job and were a pleasure to be around! Jennifer did such a wonderful job with my balayage hair coloring!! She was like a professional and really cared that it turn out the way I wanted it to. Lovely experience and student- and I am very happy with my hair :) Good atmosphere, good hair, what more can you ask for from a salon? Thank you!! :):)

She was friendly, thorough, made sure I got exactly what I wanted, and was careful to consult with the instructor every step of the way to ensure that my hair didn't get destroyed in the process. Now I have the princess hair I always wanted :) just a heads up, because they are learning, plan on it taking a little longer than you may expect. They do a great job though!

i have been coming to Payton since May and she’s done wonders on my hair!!! she’s such a joy to be around. She’s really helped my hair come back to life after all the bleach and terrible things happen to my hair from my previous salon. I’ve had haircuts, color and styles and even facials done by her. She goes above and beyond to make sure you look like a million bucks when you walk out of there. I definitely recommend hair and this school. I had a good experience at Summit Salon Academy. My stylist was Corrie who was so sweet and funny! The only reason why I gave a 4 star versus 5 is because the bayalage color came out a tad darker than what I wanted it to look like, but I was assured that with a few shampoo's the color should lighten. Other than that, the teachers are there to help the students whenever they need it and everyone is very sweet. Will be coming back here again! Thank you. Plus you can't beat the pricing!

Well where to start, I moved from Vegas to Wilsonville a year and half ago and needed a new place to get my hair done. I picked Summit Salon from the internet after doing some research. Nancy has been cutting my hair as well as coloring and waxing my brows. I have seen Nancy grow through the months with her techniques and feeling much more comfortable with herself. Nancy has been doing a better job each time that I have visited the salon. I have been able to talk to some of the staff as well as the students with each visit. It's nice to walk in somewhere and have the staff and students recognize and remember you. It puts a smile on my face and I alway rebook before leaving for my next appointment. I gave four stars because I always fell that there is room to improve in everything.****

Came in to do a toner on my bleached hair and turned out amazing. I’m not a fan of the brassy look my hair turns into after a few months of blonde and Hannah G completely removed all the brass and left me with a beautiful ashy blonde. She killed it for being a level 1. Highly would recommend her!
