I went into the studio today for a back facial. Breanna did such a great job I felt like I was at a personal salon. The massage was AMAZING! The whole experience was very relaxing which I desperately needed. My back feels extremely refreshed and clean. The price was also great considering the amount of time it takes to complete a back facial and the effort that goes into it. I highly highly recommend!! Not only are you getting a great service completed but you’re also helping the students out as well.

This was (by far) the most meticulous facial I have ever had. Krista was both thorough and exact -- it was a highly individualized experience that addressed my particular skin needs: dry patches, wrinkles, acne, large pores. I left with smoother, softer, well-hydrated skin. Special attention to my wrinkly eye area and dry lips. The massage was gentle and exhilarating and hit all the right pressure points to provide maximum relaxation. My complexion was literally glowing when I left, which lasted for days. Incredible service provided by Krista. I booked a return appointment on my way out. Highly recommend.

I’ve gone there over the years for facials and have had great experiences. My most recent esthetician was Ebony. She is almost ready to graduate and was attentive, kind and skilled. I wish her the best! The only drawback is because it’s a school, I rarely get the same student twice, but I like knowing I’m helping them further their education. The instructors are always right there too, advising and interacting with clients and students. It’s a great experience and very affordable. They use Dermalogica and Image products so that’s a plus as well.

I haven’t had time to pamper myself in awhile and I felt I was overdue for some “Me” time. I’m a very busy person working two jobs and running my own business. It can be hard to make time to take care of myself. However I told myself I need to take some time to better my health and my skin. I searched around numerous places that would perform great skin care services and I ran across The Studio Academy of Beauty. It was nearby to me and there availability was pretty reasonable. I called to make an appointment and the staff was friendly, offering many skin care services and needs. The day of my service I went in and was seen by an esthetician student; her name was Jane Le. At first I was a little worried that it was a student who would be performing my service. However I thought “Hey, we were all students at one point in time before we became who we are now.” Jane Le was very polite and professional. She walked me every step Of the way and greeted me with a warm smile. She first analyzed my skin to ensure what services would be right for my skin type. She advised that I should do a microdermabrasion which would help with my scaring, pigmentations and fine lines. I was happy to know she just wasn’t in it to give me any type of service. It made me feel at ease knowing she knew what my skin needed. The service was comfortable, relaxing and painless. Jane periodically asked if I was ok and if I felt any pain or discomfort during the service. She was gentle and knew how to balance providing quality service and making sure I was comfortable through it all. After my session, I saw immediate results. My skin looked more vibrant, smooth and soft. My skin was thanking me and I felt more confident looking at myself in the mirror each morning. I will be returning for more session in the near future. Jane definitely changed the way one can interpreted when getting service from a student. I definitely recommend The Studio Academy of Beauty and their quality and professionalism they have on their clients and their students.

Teresa Wood did an awesome job on haircut. I have a balding spot on the top of my head. She was able to make it look like I had more hair on my head than before i went in. Super happy with it. Great haircut, great conversation, and great prices...the trifecta!!! UPDATE!!! Had to track her down but it was worth it!!! She is now working at Bravo Salon in Scottsdale. Hurry and book her before there are no more spots.

I have really sensitive skin and usually wait a long time to wax my eyebrows because of this. I loved how Debbie Espino asked me about my skin sensitivities beforehand—-I really appreciated that. Got my eyebrows waxed by her and finally got my arch the way I liked it ! Other people that I’ve gone to have either burned me or made my eyebrows too thin. Still had some slight redness but the aloe Vera gel helped me out so much; the redness went away the next day. Will schedule again with her in the next upcoming weeks.

I've come to appreciate their professionalism, the quality of the work done, and the care that the instructors show for their students and clients. The other day I was in there for a hair color and cut with some highlights, and I had been feeling very poorly about my hair, so it was great to see Lisa (always so bubbly and sweet) and to meet her student, Kate. Kate was so caring and genuinely concerned that she get my hair done just the way I like it . . . she put a lot of care into it, really a precision job. I discovered a treasure in this place last fall. I've been going once a month for either a facial, microderms or hair cut. They aren't fancy, but they are affordable and I have always had a great student that is attentive and does a great job. I like to be able to help them get their hours in while getting pampered. The receptionist -Eireann - is wonderful. The past couple of months however, I have been disappointed in the spa atmosphere It has not been relaxing to be there - they took away the dim lights, relaxing music and quiet voices. It has been distracting and difficult to relax. I have encountered a lack of professional behavior from one of the spa teachers. It was rude and disrespectful to the environment as well as to me, the client. I`m very sad. I hope the owners read this because this place has been such an enjoyment. I hope they will return it to the way it was. Otherwise I would give an easy 5 star rating.

It was comparable to many of the facials I have received from local resorts--maybe even better. She was very professional and I am extremely impressed with the level of service--especially considering the price. Only downside is that the facials take place in a large room with other people. You can hear others talking-though they keep volume to a whisper level and soothing music is played. I would absolutely recommend this place!!

She tries her hardest to make sure EVERY student understands the material and is very knowledgeable in this field and her demonstrations are easily picked up. I have not had any issues with any staff or students so far. As long as you treat everyone here with respect, it will be returned. I have also had my hair cut by one of the senior students and she did a great job. It was exactly what I wanted. Because she did such a great job, i feel reassured that these teachers will be able to mold me into a great cosmotologist as well :)

As long as you realize that it's a school going in, and you don't mind the students being taught then it's a great place to get your hair done. The facial and massage were about an hour long and I was thoroughly impressed. Usually I go to places similar and I always am nervous and tense. The staff was friendly and professional and they were very informative. They gave me tips on how to care for my skin after the facial and really made it so I understood, they didn’t try and sale me products , they were just very helpful. The facial was so relaxing that I fell asleep, woke up and had no idea that I had drifted. It was a true treat. I recommend them and if you get a chance, go and ask for Rose. She was amazing!!!

My student, Yesmenia, Updated my hairstyle without being drastic. She applied color so perfectly no one can tell that my hair was colored. I’m growing out my gray and she blended it perfectly. Went in for my first ever Back Wax and the girls were awesome! Nice facility, very clean and the waxing area was good. Even though it is a school they were very professional and took great care with wearing gloves and replacing them if and when need be. The main girl that did the waxing was a student by the name of Elizabeth. She was accompanied by 2 other students named Spencer and Vetta at the start with the ok from their instructor. The only reason I give this school a 4 star rating is the staff. My teachers Michelle and Toni were the best I've ever had. My advisor, Michelle actually cared for me and always had time for me. The rest of the staff Jacqui, Monica, Ryan, and Andy we're so helpful and you could tell they want you to succeed. But the owners are so out of touch. I cannot stand them. They are cheap and quite frankly rude. Thank God they don't come in often. Because of them neither of my teachers work there anymore. They only care about your money but aren't willing to do anything about the schools condition. Shame on them, they shouldn't even own a beauty school. If it wasn't for the staff holding it together and my old teachers providing a fantastic education the esthetics part of this school would fall apart.

I showed up here with orange and green hair, (yes, I'd been playing with the bleach and boxed dye), with little hope of saving it; fully prepared to have to shave my head. Seriously, it was THAT bad. Under the guidance of her instructor, Yesenia did an AMAZING job of not only fixing the mess I had made out of my hair, but going wayyyyy beyond and giving me beautiful 3-dimensional color in shades I'm in love with topped off with a gorgeous cut and curl job. There way a woman there Essie I believe who yelled at me to get off of my phone (I was scrolling on ig no sounds on or anything) and when she was told that I was a client she yelled across the room “well are you paying!?” Which I was.. it was embarrassing and I was ready to walk out then but Briauna was very apologetic and my friend referred me to her after she got a facial a month prior. I was in town for two days and my face still felt refreshed and clean for about a week after I returned home. Her name is Lucy and I knew right away that she would know what I want because she herself had color in her hair.I was also greeted by another hairstylist by the name of Kiana she had a really cool hair so I trusted her judgment as well.
