I love the new location! It feels super spacious & clean. For me personally, sugaring hurts significantly less than waxing! I also love that it’s a quick process and I’m in and out in 20 min or less. Everyone that has ever sugared me has been professional, personable, and kind. They always make sure I am comfortable and do their best to make the process as painless as possible. I live in central Jersey, but come out to the Philadelphia location because I trust it and know I will have a positive experience every time.

This was my first experiencing with any kind of waxing and now I'm hooked!! This place is amazing. I really like the sugar wax too! I didn't have any reactions to it at all. No redness or bumps. Drucilla was incredible too! She made me feel so comfortable and relaxed. I highly recommend her!

Today was my first time trying out S&B and I think I found my new place :). I have been getting waxed for years and wanted to try them out since they are so close to my work. Today I saw Drew. She was amazing and took her time explaining the process and was understanding that it was my first time and I might need some extra time. She talked me through ever step. I already made my next reservation with her! The shop itself is beautiful. It is so polish, clean and inviting! The girls up front are great! They open at 9am and close pretty late - so it will definitely work with anyones schedule. They also have memberships and a big PLUS it is cheaper than the national wax center. I have one of their candle they sell and it is my favorite candle I have at the moment. They also sell products for aftercare and home tanning!

I’ve been coming here for around 2 years mainly for Brazilian sugaring. I’ve also done the tanning sessions as well and they do a wonderful job! They have tons of time slots available and are open pretty late to take on as many clients as they can. I definitely recommend S+B!

I've been going here since the spring to get my Brazilian done. At the beginning of the year, a friend mentioned trying them out for the first time and after hearing her experience I decided to give it a shot... And I like it! The staff are all really friendly, when I went for my first appointment they really walked me through everything and they are always open to answering any questions you have. I also like the idea that the only ingredients are literally like lemon, sugar & water. Though there is still some sort of discomfort when they are using the sugar paste, it doesn't feel as bad/painful as waxing felt for me. Overall, would recommend trying them out! I've only done Brazilians, but I know they do other services too - check them out!

I went in for a Brazilian wax and was very excited. The business was very clean and customer service was excellent. I must start off by saying my sugarista was extremely nice and explained things well. The service itself was not great. My skin was not held taut so it made the experience way more painful than it needed to be. This also caused the hair to rip so I still have hair on me and I do not feel as smooth as I should. I’m a fellow esthetician and has waxed many times and the technique itself was not good at all. She may have been new to the industry so I won’t hold it against her but the company needs to ensure proper training is done. To have a bad experience, lots of hair still left (when I didn’t have much to begin with), then forced to leave an 18% gratuity was a bit much. I probably will not return. Update: Management reached out to rectify the situation and I’m more than pleased ☺️

I’ve been sugaring with S+B for about four years I love it there! The wax last for about 6wks when you fully get use to sugaring, so much better than regular waxing. No chemical or hot wax burns. Plus every service I’ve had was quick and seamless.

This was the best air brush tan I've gotten. I went with the lightest option (rinsed off after 3 hours) and it looked perfect for my friend's wedding the next day. The staff was extremely professional and the facility was very clean. The best part about the tan was that it did not streak or come off when I worked out. Everyone is very friendly and professional. No one enjoys getting sugared in their bikini area but the girl who provided the service (I forget her name .. I’m terrible at remembering names) made the time go by easier because she was a great conversationalist. She was very thorough on explaining the process even though I had been there before and she provided detailed follow-up care info. The facility is very clean which is always important but even more so now with the pandemic. I travel from NJ to come here because there is no other place I felt as comfortable at!

Once you get sugared your hair starts to grow back slower and thinner so each time is less painful. Prices are a little up there but its worth every penny and a tip. I visited S+B for the first time yesterday. I arrived a few minutes early for my appointment, and they took me back to my room right away. The employee explained the process and asked what color tan I wanted and gave a recommendation. There were thongs, hairnets, and flip flops available in my room for use during the spray tan. The tan itself came out pretty even, and the employee who applied it made me feel comfortable during the session. I will definitely return!

I scheduled a tan for my engagement photos. When I called in to ask when I should schedule for, the woman who answered the phone was really enthusiastic and helpful. I love how comfortable the girl made me feel while I was being sprayed! It was my first time and I didn’t want tan lines so I was nervous but I was super comfortable. The tan was very nice the only thing I wish I was offered was sticky feet pads. I’m not sure if they have them or not but I didn’t see them and wasn’t offered them. The University tan looked very natural and wasn’t streaky at all :)

They were able to answer any questions I had! During the spray tan, the girl who did it was extremely professional and nice. Really nice and clean place to go for sugaring. They are quick and efficient, and make the process as easy as possible. You know waxing is painful, but I found that after a couple sessions it started hurting less. I have to say that having a free second wax convinced me to go again and then decide that I would never go back to shaving! Sugaring is the best!

I went to the appointment 45 min early and the staff was very welcoming and got me in way earlier than expected. Extremely accommodating! I love this place. First of all, it's the most natural looking tan ever! Service is quick, and the tan lasts you about a week if you take good care of it. A week later, it'll start to fade but gradually not in a spotty way. The location is clean, beautiful and stocked up with anything you need; thongs, flip flops, masks, hair caps, hair ties, wipes. The employees will let you know which shade is best for your skin type and will even do some contouring as they spray you. They are very careful and precise in their method. I always receive so many compliments every time I get a tan done here. Would definitely recommend to all!

I got my first spray tan here and loved it! The two for $49 new customer deal brought me in - such a great deal. The girls were nice and helpful. I did run into a problem being that my second tan was scheduled during a "Free Service Block Out Day" which actually means "Free Service Block out Week" because you are unable to use your second free service during the 5 days before a holiday. I was expecting to have a free tan, ended up having to pay $49.

S & B is my go-to for spray tans! The place is clean, staff is professional and friendly and the color is natural and long-lasting. I have been since they reopened due to the pandemic and can confirm that their staff is taking safety seriously - they are wearing masks, social distancing where possible and using face shields during the face spray portion. I am pretty pale with freckles and have been getting the level 2 and it looks like a perfect summer tan and lasted 5 days last time before showing serious signs of wear. The staff is always helpful with providing color recommendations. Can't recommend enough if you want to get your spray on

I’m writing this review after my second Brazilian sugaring. My skin is so sensitive, I have very thick hair, but this has so far been the best hair removal experience for me. Of course it’s still painful but a lot less than hard wax which I’ve previously tried. (And it’s a lot less messy! You don’t leave here with remnants of wax stuck to you down there... A+) The salon is CLEAN and so chic! The staff is so welcoming and friendly once you walk in And Hannah, who did my sugaring both times, has only made me feel really comfortable and calm during the experience. She explains everything she’s doing, but also engages in random conversation to make everything seem more comfortable, which also helps as a good distraction. She’s so quick but meticulous! I’d give this place 6 stars if I could! See you guys soon!

I originally had an appt scheduled elsewhere and they canceled on me last minute and I had a flight to catch in a few hours so I had no time. I have had a Brazilian wax since I was 15. It was a large part of my family growing up with 7 sisters. My mom would yell at us that hair traps smell and if you don’t want to smell, you need to wax it all and be hair free! I have tried it all...and no wax or place comes close to sugar and bronze. Sugaring is the best thing for hair removal, especially a Brazilian...I drive an hour to come here. I need to leave at a certain time to find parking and to navigate in case there is traffic. I love to be a model because I can take the pain and it’s less pain with sugaring. This is the best and most natural way you will ever find to be hair free. It’s makes me super smooth and I am hair free longer since I started sugaring. The place is beautiful, very clean, the employees are amazing, and this place leaves you feeling flawless!!!Hannah, a trainer that is always there will make your service beautiful, bright, and spotless because she pays such close attention to detail/a perfection. She’s amazing as they all are over there!!! I just wish they had another location closer but I have to tell you that you are missing out in the next big and great thing if you have not tried anything at sugar and bronzed. They also do excellent spray tanning that looks super natural. I went to a lot of great places before but please, get that sugaring instead of waxing because it’s better overall. I've done traditional waxing for years, and I've always been left with ingrown hairs and quick regrowth. A friend recommended Sugared and Bronzed as an alternative to the traditional waxing I'd done. I absolutely loved my treatment. Every last hair was gone, not a single ingrown, and the hair came back sparser and softer. My friends and I love this place! You are welcomed by smiling faces and every staff member I have met has an uplifting and empowering attitude! I went for one of the tanning trainee sessions. Both the trainer and trainee worked well together, and it became a group experience. Though I do not remember their names, I feel like we bonded over our conversation and laughs. I was kind of expecting a blotchy tan job since the trainee was new, but the trainer made sure that the trainee covered me evenly. The tan has beautiful umber undertones and I am excited to go back!!

I waited a few minutes and was greeted by another friendly young woman who talked me through the whole process and also talked to me during the whole tan. My friend git the sugar service and said only thing that kind of hurts is the application b/c they go the opposite direction of the growth of hair but for removal they go the same direction as the hair growth which they explained helps keep hair bumps away. After years of shaving and a few (painful) experiences with waxing, a friend suggested that I try “sugaring” as a more gentle alternative and one that over time can actually reduce hair thickness and growth. The first is definitely the worst!!!! This is my first waxing experience ever and I got a Brazilian! Holland was my sugarista and she was totally relaxing my nerves since the second I walked back to the room. I was such a baby!!! I was wimpering and asking her to take a break left and right and she was so patient and laughed with me about my pain :) I loved that she wasn't frustrated with me and really helpful with the breathing exercises she prepped me with for each pull. After my first ever wax I'm left with a few hairs because they were too short to pull, but I was totally expecting that seeing as it was my first time! No biggie at all, I'm absolutely in love with the results. Even if you have low pain tolerance you should definitely take the leap and go for it!! Holland let me know which areas would be more painful than others and that really helped me prepare! My second wax is free and that never expires so I can come back whenever I need to! Just do everyone knows ⚠️⚠️⚠️THEY DO NOT ACCEPT CASH!!!!!!⚠️⚠️⚠️So just keep that in mind when you're booking your appointment and on the day of the appointment make sure you have your card with you! Also there is a small parking lot around the corner on Locust street I think and it's $12 an hour so if you're at S + B for less time the price will be even lower! Definitely try it out I can't wait for my next wax!

I’ve tried all types of hair removal, strips, blue wax, etc and this is by far the quickest and least painful. On top of that the prices are some of the cheapest in the city, especially if you have a membership. Its a great space and they do spray tans and waxing as late as 11:00pm so you can always find a time that works for you. I definitely recommend.

I love this place! I was initially scared to try sugaring before I started going there a few years ago because I read some articles stating it was more appropriate for finer hairs, but I'm glad I decided to ignore the articles and try for myself. New customers get an introductory offer, which is two services for the price of one and that incentive reeled me in. Sugaring removes my hair easily and my skin feels much smoother than after a hard wax. Plus the price is amazing compared to what I pay for hard wax in NJ. I only have two complaints: some of the newer staff aren't as good as the old sugaristas I used to see and leave some hair behind and cause more pain. I definitely think they could benefit from slowing down, making full use of the allotted appointment time and improving their technique. However, I just saw Hannah (I think that was her name) this wknd and she was awesome, best sugarista yet, she got damn near every hair and her technique was spot on because I barely felt any pain at all. Moreover, she did the thing that a lot of the sugaristas at this salon don't do, but should do, she immediately presses down on the area that was just sugared which really helps to reduce the immediate pain after the hair is ripped off. My other complaint is that I wish they had a salon in central NJ so that I wouldn't have to make a 50 minute drive and deal with parking issues!

My return back to S&B and I say return because it was like over 3months since i have been to get the Sugar Brazilian. Each and every time i get this service i am overwhelmed. But as soon as the sugartista comes in the room, she was so pleasant and reassured me that she will take good care of me. That is exactly what she did. Just by her talking to me and having a relaxing calming tone, relaxed me. My favorite part is when im all done she takes care of me like a new born baby who just got her pamper changed. :) I love this place and RECOMMEND this establishment vs. a regular wax. The sugar method last longer and the grow back time is phenomenal.

I have waxed for over 20 years. I have used a vast multitude of methods and wax products. Strips, hard wax, you mame it, I’ve tried it. Nothing and I mean NOTHING beats sugaring. It is by far the most efficient, longest lasting, best results EVER! Period. The process is more uncomfortable (though quicker) than traditional strip or hard waxing but the results are ENTIRELY WORTH IT! I wax everything from my eyebrows down. All of it, everywhere. I will never go back to traditional methods. I will sugar until something better comes along or I make the jump to electrolysis. I discovered Sugar and Bronzed in Philadelphia accidentally and I’m so glad I did. The staff is very thorough and welcoming. I had my first sugaring experience about a month ago, and I figured I would write my review before my second appointment. I’ve been getting Brazilian waxes for about 2+ years now, but sugaring has definitely blown me away. There’s a HUGE difference from sugaring as opposed to waxing and I am NOT DISAPPOINTED in the least. I’ve had no discomfort, minimal itchiness, and no irritation or ingrown hairs post service with sugaring which I often encountered with waxing despite exfoliating. Of course nothing is perfect and painless, the application of the sugar is discomforting, as is removal, but you’re guaranteed 2+ weeks of smooth skin! I also noticed that less hair has grown back which took years of waxing to finally do, but after one time sugaring I don’t see as much hair back as usual. Definitely recommend! They’re super friendly as well and really make you feel at ease if you’re new!

I’ve been to a few places in the city and Sugared & Bronzed is my favorite. Staff is always courteous and it’s a quick process. I gave 3 stars because they recently have changed their formula to express only, which is more expensive. I also followed recommendations to rinse off after 1 hour and 45 min and am left with barely any color, while when I slept in the express formula last month, I was dark (for a fair skinned person). Express formulas darkens until the 3 hour mark so I’m unsure how roughly 2 hours leaves barely any tan and the full 3 hours leaves a much darker tan. Keep this in mind when deciding to rinse off before 3 hour period.

When I was in desperate need of a spray tan for a wedding, this place came HIGHLY recommended by my friends. I was terrified to try a new place but they definitely did not disappoint. I was able to schedule online- they offered a ton of times (each 20 minutes apart) and booked the day before. The girl who tanned me helped me pick my perfect shade, and made the experience quick and not awkward at all. I also liked that they have an air hose that you can use afterwards to dry the tan quicker before you change- instead of just standing there awkwardly in the room until you're dry. They also leave you with a list of directions to help maintain the tan (in case you forget). The only con I have were the directions - for some reason the address took my lyft driver to a narrow street a couple blocks away. I recommend using the irish pub or just entering in the cross street if you're using a lyft.

I've been to Sugared + Bronzed twice, both times for sugaring, and I've had great experiences both times. I got a brazilian and my upper lip sugared. I was nervous about the brazilian - had been waxed twice before and it HURT. The first sugaring brazilian hurt but not as bad as waxing and Holland made me feel comfortable (or as comfortable as possible for what was going on ;) ) The second time I got sugared, 4 weeks after the first time, it was remarkably less painful. Getting my upper lip done was fine, not painless, but not bad at all. I'm hooked and will continue to go back for sugaring services. I would give the staff and service 5 stars, but I can't give the facility itself a 5 star rating. There are minor things through out that could easily be improved/fixed that would go a long way in making the facility feel nicer, like repainting the walls and installing all outlets covers.

So, I'm a Tan Towel junkie. But, for my wedding I wanted something a little bit more professional and with a smaller risk of orange & streaking. The answer to my dilemma: Bronzed Airbrush Tanning. Called Rachel and told her my plan- come in for a trial spray this week, then schedule another spray 3 days before the wedding. She was such a sweetheart. Told me that she does this sort of thing ALL the time for brides, and it's she would do BUY 1 GET 1 FREE! Awesome! : ) Met her inside the 12th Street Gym lobby, and we walked up to her studio. Once inside the studio, Rachel had me fill out a new client form and gave me the run-down of how the session will go, as well as when to shower afterwards and how to prolong the tan. She was incredibly knowledgable and had professional answers to all of my questions. I decided to go topless/thong, which made me somewhat nervous, considering my somewhat modest demeanor. Rachel was caring, extremely personable, and easy to talk to during the session. I felt like my best friend was spraying me. We talked wedding planning the whole time. In all honesty, I felt super comfortable during the whole session. When you go in, just remember that she sprays naked people all day long. There's nothing to be nervous about. Anyway, so the bottom line: How was the result? FABULOUS. I have very fair skin, so she used the lightest color of bronze. And it looks absolutely perfect! Absolutely no signs of orange or streaks. Just a uniform light bronzed shade. Perfect for my wedding. I can't recommend Bronzed enough!

After reading several wonderful reviews I decided to get my first spray tan at Bronzed. I looved it and went back a few times before a winter Miami trip and Atlantic City get away. It looked so natural, my friends thougt I went to a tanning bed, and I look nicely sunkissed in my Miami vacation pics! The ladies at the salon are very professional and make you feel comfortable considering you pretty much stand naked in front of a stranger. I closely followed the instructions and my tans lasted well into two weeks. There is a mild odor to the product but it goes away after the first shower. I HIGHLY recommend this to anyone looking for a natural looking harmless tan!!!
