I love this place! They give really good haircuts and the quality is a10/10! I really recommend that you come here if you haven’t already. You’ll be surprised how good they are. They provide really good service and all haircuts look really nice and clean. I can’t ever remember a haircut that I didn’t like when I got it here. They are really talented and really good at it! They deserve higher than a 5/5 because their service is truly amazingly! I know it may seem like I’m claiming a lot about this service, but I guarantee you that this place is as ineffably amazing as it seems! If you don’t believe me when I say all of this, then come see for yourself how good they are!

We recently moved to the area so I was looking for a barber shop for my 10 year old son and after reading what seemed like 500 reviews we went to The Polished Barber and I am so glad we did! Today was his 2nd time there and I love the fact that when you go in you are greeted and not just looked at and ignored. Everyone has been very friendly and makes you feel welcome and comfortable. Julieta cut my son's hair today, he has ADHD and usually sitting still is difficult for him but she was great and he sat still for her and loved his cut! I absolutely adore this place in its entirety, since my fiance and I moved to De, we've only taken our boys here (7 n 14), esp because ever since the 1st time we took them, they not only did an amazing job, but were super friendly and the place had such a great/ chill atmosphere! We weren't sure what to do for our 7yo so we left it up to the barber and he by far, killed it! They are incredibly good w/ the lil ones too. Their prices are fair, and they just give 'professional barber' a whole new meaning. Will def be coming back, I without a doubt will be recommending this place for sure. I can't see anybody walking out of there not happy while also more than likely having surpassed your expectations as well, no kidding. Quite possibly having had your confidence boosted a bit too (who doesn't want that??)! Thank you so much guys, y'all Rock!!!

I love this place for its cleanliness, safe, and comfortable experience. All of the barbers at Polished are very talented and it shows in the work they do. My particular barber, Thursday, cuts my hair and I leave with compliments from coworkers, friends, and family. I expect my hair to be cut in a certain way often times not getting the side of my head shaped up and I don’t feel judged by my barber or anyone else who works for Polished. The barber shop caters to a diverse clientele and they still leave looking very sharp. I drive from the Philly area to get my haircut because I’m loyal to quality. Even though a cut is sometimes on the pricey side, it is worth the money. Wash/shampoo is included in the service too. Would definitely recommend to anyone who values a quality haircut!

Found this place by chance while shopping in Delaware. As soon as I walked in the shop I was impressed. I was pleasantly greeted. The shop is very clean and neat, all barbers wear mask COVID 19 precautions. The owner Thursday, yes her name is Thursday asked me what type of cut I wanted, and gave me a awesome cut. Her attention to detail is inspiring.My best cut ever I told her she is now my barber. After serving in the military over 20 years I know a good haircut. I observed the entire shop is very versatile and gives great cuts. I also love the prewash prior to haircut. No cursing, very professional establishment. I would highly recommend this place for all your barbering needs

I’ve been a client of Thursday and the Polished barber company for over 5 years. I have never received a cut I didn’t love. The atmosphere is professional, clean and extremely organized. Great 🍿 movies, music 🎵 and holiday charms throughout the year to be entertained while waiting on your master haircut. Thursday is a master barber 💈 and “the girl can cut” like know other. Do yourself a favor and don’t let any other barber touch your hair if they aren’t from polished.

Okay, so I don’t normally do reviews but this was just something I couldn’t pass up. From going to hair salons and barbers of other sorts, Polished has to be the place I’m sticking with. My barber was Jason. Really nice and friendly guy. Usually I’m a shy dude and don’t really talk much but he got me out of my shell and started up a conversation. I felt welcomed and like I knew everyone there for years. Not only was the customer service incredible, the cut, my guy, the cut was absolutely astonishing! This mans attention to detail was amazing!!! I walked in feeling like $5, but left feeling like a million. I usually don’t leave google reviews but for this company I had too. Polished is one of the most nicest , cleanest barbershops I’ve ever seen. The floors are always polished, no pun intended and everything is so tidy. Every time I step foot in this place I get greeted and feel at home. My cuts are always on point! My barber’s name is Thursday & she definitely knows her stuff about cuts. The shop is very versatile and community oriented. Much of their staff is friendly and knows how to cut hair! Bookings are available but book in advance because their staff is always busy! You wait for a good cut. Love this shop. Super clean and tidy, and they offer free drinks and snacks. Everyone is incredibly friendly and I feel very comfortable there, which is especially important when you're a woman going into a barber shop. I've seen other places charge for washing your hair but here it's included in the price of the cut, and since the prices are already very reasonable this is a huge plus. Thursday does amazing work and I wouldn't trust anyone else with my hair. I always leave feeling and looking awesome and get tons of compliments on my cut. Highly recommended!

Absolutely loved this place! The staff are very friendly and they are very detailed with their work. During the shutdown, all the barbershops were closed in Jersey so we drove an hour and 30 minutes so my girlfriend and I can get our haircuts. We were very satisfied with the results. My 15 year old son DOES NOT like to be touched, so taking him to the barber is infuriating! I have been shaving his head since he was a toddler, but he wants to grow his hair out now and he needed a trim. My wife made the appointment, but my son was giving her a hard time about going, so I brought him. When we showed, the appointment was under my wife's name and I think that a woman's hair cut was going to happen....instead a tattooed (and dirty) manual laborer and his angst riddled teenager. Dianna took the unexpected surprise amazingly! She was professional, polite, and communicated incredibly well with my son. I listened to her conversation with him, she made him feel at ease and put him in control of how he looks. His hair looks AMAZBALLS!!!!! He has been smiling and talkative since we got home. His younger brother even complimented his hair. 😳 Dianna boosted a young man's self-esteem today...priceless. Please go and get a boost in your self-esteem at Polished in Claymont and ask for Dianna. Make sure you tip your hair care professionals well, they work very hard and also have taken huge hits due to the pandemic as have most service industry workers.

Reservation process gives you plenty of reminders. Plenty of parking in the back. I was in a rush due to a a last minute meeting where I needed to be on video(have worked remote so hair was a mess). I don't know why this is under my husband's name but, I am a customer as well as my son. I love getting my hair cut here because it is clean, family friendly and the barbers are talented as well as caring. My son who was used to kitchen cuts gets his hair cut here now that he is a young man and they talked to him about proper hair care and how to maintain his look without pushing products which they do sell in the shop. I absolutely love the way my hair is taken care of when I go to get my cut as well. I highly recommend this shop for all hair types.

Update: The owner reached out and offered a refund + a refund for the skin healing balm I had to buy to clear up my neck. The irritation is almost clear now. The owner also offered to touch up some of the janky-er parts of the beard and haircut but unfortunately my schedule hasn’t permitted it. The professional attitude of the manager has changed my perception of the business in a more positive light. Although I’ve had haircuts I liked here in the past this one was rough. Not only was this the most painful beard trim/haircut I’ve ever gotten, they botched my haircut and beard. The person cutting my hair stopped to answer the phone several times, picking up in random pIaces instead of where they left off. Stray hairs were left all over the place, beard was trimmed unevenly, haircut was not at all the one I asked for even though I showed her photos of me with said haircut, and most egregiously they were terribly rough on the skin during the shave. I have never had skin irritatIon like this before. Worst of all this was supposed to be my haircut in preparation for an upcoming engagement photo shoot, photos I am now certain to be unhappy with.

My 1st visit when the shop opened for the 1st time would not have been 5 stars. However today I walked in when the shop opened at 12 and was told everyone was booked for the day by the lady at the desk. As I said ok and walked out a barber stopped me and said another barber would be in and open at 3 so I set the appt for 330 for my son. I was actually impressed. He took his time and joked with my son about putting his Birthday digits in his head. (My son will be 13 tomorrow) So thanks to Molly who cut my sons hair today. I'll surely be returning.

On top of that the staff are all courteous, knowledgeable, and talented; there is also plenty for you to do if you have to wait before an appointment like enjoy a movie, free wifi, step out into the shopping center or even have a drink at Polished. The feeling you have after getting out of your Stylist chair once your hair has been finely crafted it's like going into work on pay Friday morning after amazing morning fun with your spouse 👍🏽.

There were few things went wrong which one point of time made me doubt about their professionlism. In short word Haircut: Alright (3.5 star for this) Hair Color (1.5 star) Pretty bad experience, color spots were everywhere on ears, neck & forehead did not come out even washing twice, no combing was given after finishing the service, there was too hastyness to ask swiping the credit card and select option 1 or 2 which both are for the tip not 3, Cmon let customer decide it based on your service quality which certainly was inferior. Will I use service again: As of my todays experience I may not go there anymore, will try something else around.
