Upside: the stylists work fast, so you generally won't have to wait much. Downside: the stylists work perhaps *too* fast, so don't expect top quality or great attention to detail. They charge $30 for a simple men's cut, so it is not particularly cheap either - especially since they only accept cash. IRS, take notice!

This is a friendly neighborhood barbershop drawing upon the skills of the owners' extended families. My favorite barber is Lynn, but if she is not available, I don't hesitate to go to others. I've never had a bad haircut here. The cost is very reasonable so I always tip with great appreciation.

My favorite barbershop! Always a good cut, whether Leo or one of his excellent associates is doing the cut. A good cut, reasonable price, easy access in the Van Ness neighborhood, and friendly faces, with plenty of pandemic protocols. Simply no better spot for a cut, for me or my Little One! Also great with kids!! Just got my first real pandemic cut and it felt like coming home.

Great place to go for a haircut. Make sure you call ahead to ensure you get a spot at the time of your choosing. Prices start at $30 for a mens haircut. Little on the high side in my opinion but still not the highest I've seen in DC, also not the lowest. Overall, I think you'll be happy you decided to get a cut here.

They took me at the last minute. Because of the pandemic have not had a haircut in awhile. My hair was a mess! Sadly, did not get the barber's name but he gave me a great hair cut. Nice roomy and clean space as well. Highly recommend.

Leo has been cutting my hair for 7 years. They have a wonderful team and do good work. Their prices climbed to $30 after the lockdown ended which I'm happy to pay because they are a local business that deserves all of our support. They are a staple of the Van Ness neighborhood.

I've been going here for years. The staff is very professional and nice and don't waste your time with small talk unless you want them to. I've had my hair cut by everyone there and the service and quality is the same no matter who does the job. Good price for a haircut especially in this area and especially for a full service haircut. The only downside is that they only accept cash, but the upside is that tax is already included in the price. A 20 dollar haircut is 20 dollars, not 21.14.

Today was my first time at Cut N Edge. I wanted to check it out because of the stellar ratings and reasonable price. I was completely blown away by the quality of my haircut! The staff was professional and friendly. My barber clearly cared very much about every aspect of my cut, and even shaved my neck (with great skill). I will definitely be back any time I need a cut. Fantastic!

Talk about a great place to get your haircut. The service is quick, and the employees are all friendly. For only $18 this place is a bargain. I've never been a big fan of places where there is a need to talk the entire time and the staff here will talk to you if you want but most of the time it's just small talk and they get the job done. I think the best part is that they use a straight razor on the back of your neck. Bottom line, if you need a haircut, go to the Cut N Edge and you will not leave disappointed.

Solid barbers all around - can't go wrong with any. Super kid friendly, affordable. There's a bin of toys for kids to play with, current selection of magazines, two TVs playing sports. It's a real neighborhood barbershop, the kind of place you can be a happy regular costumer and feel like they know you.

This place is a gem. While I have my favorites, everyone that’s cut my hair here has been great. Everyone is super friendly and efficient. The prices are typical for the area. The only cons are that there is no check-in system so you have to figure out yourself where you are in line, and it’s cash-only which in today’s world can be an inconvenience.

Kim has been cutting my hair regularly for seven years. Great every time. While I sometimes have to get my haircut at other shops while traveling, or by other barbers at Cut 'N Edge when Kim is on vacation, this is my preferred shop and my preferred barber.

Lyna who works here started cutting my hair in Gaithersburg in 1992. I went to college and moved around the area and would occasionally go see her back in G'burg. We lost touch and then I ran into her here years later. She still remembered how to cut my hair, and she's the only one who knows how to do it. She cut my hair and groomed me for my wedding...and later that night I saw her as my guest. She's my barber and friend. All the other barbers here are pretty bad ass too!

This barbershop was recommended to me as awesome. I have to admit I was a little skeptical since I am clearly African-American until I gave it a try. I was very impressed to see all ethnicities lined up to get hair cutts: Men, Woman and children. I have been coming here for three years from Baltimore with my son and I will not go anywhere else. If you want consistent quality give this shop a try and if you have courser hair like me they will provide you the best option for your hair type. Vinnie is my barber and I have never been disappointed👍🏿
