First and foremost the wait was minimal, the atmosphere was friendly and nice. Next the shop was clean and well kept , not to mention shack himself gave me a good quality cut for a good quality price. Im looking forward to going back .

Went to take my one year old son to get his first haircut and Shack did great with working with a crying, moving baby. Him and the staff are very friendly and professional. Did a great job with my son's first cut. Would definitely recommend Shack's Barber Shop!

One of the BEST shops left in St. LOUIS with ACUTAL REAL BARBERS!! THIS place has ALL the charm of an old school barber shop with the professionalism that you appreciate in today's climate. Keith is one of the greats and will make SURE you're taken care of like it's his business...because IT IS! I'm a 30 yr customer (since age 16) that'll b going for another 30 as long as the doors are open!!

I was referred to Shackz by my friend on Facebook and to go to Leah to get my hair braided. I cannot say how much I love that I took that lead. I can say Leah is phenomenal but on top of that i will say how many random people on the streets say that they love my hair. Continuous complements. Leah braided my hair and the owner faded me and trimmed up the edges. They definitively have a return customer with me. Try them out is what i definitely recommend!

I can't imagine a friendlier place to get a haircut. I wanted to ride the Metro while visiting St. Louis, so I looked for a barber shop near a Metro Station (in this case the beautiful Union Station). Shack gave me a great haircut (at the senior price of $13!) and we had a wonderful talk about Harry Carey and the Cardinals, his family's history with the barber shop, his visit to my home town--Oakland, the crazy weather, and more. I thoroughly enjoyed my haircut and my visit.

Cant think of a more helpful, patient, welcoming atmosphere to be in. I have been going here for years even when my brother and I began cutting our own hair, whenever we are too tired which is often I always go into Shack's even if it is just for a small trim and he always invited me with the most GENUINE welcoming ever. I have grown a respect for the barbers due to their always professional but comedic, fun behavior aswell. Location is right in the heart of downtown on locust which is extremely convienent and safe , 5 minutes away from my home, gym, library, and the high school I graduated from!
