To preface this review, I hardly go to barbershops and haven't been to one for years(even pre-covid). I have a photoshoot coming up soon and decided to let the professionals take a stab at my hairdo. I looked online and Millheads came up. After looking at their roster and available appointments I booked a time with Phillip Jameison(Online booking was very convenient). I came 5 minutes before my appointment (as requested for covid) and was immediately welcomed and sat with Phillip immediately. I got pretty short hair with pretty good thinning going on, on top. I honestly don't know what to do with it, so told Phil I was in his hands and trusted his judgement. Let me just say, Phillip is the man. I came out looking fresh, clean, dapper, new, dripped up, Sunday best all around. I honestly couldn't believe my hair could look this good. Because of covid I couldn't get a full bread trim but he did manage to trim the sides and edges a bit, and it looked great. I was feeling so good and feeling great after the cut I couldn't stop looking at myself in the mirror on my way home. If you're looking for a place to get a great cut, this is it. I also obviously highly recommend Phillip as he was great and made the experience a comfortable one. I will be coming back whenever I need a cut and can't wait to experience the whole treatment when this pandemic is over.

First-time customer and I've been trying out different shops lately and I think this is my 4th one. Vibe - cool, chill music which is great while waiting for your turn Cleanliness - they keep their area clean after every customer Products - I saw a shelf of hair and beard products but didn't really ask about them. They even have t-shirt for sale! Price - considering its by Seattle, their price range is fair I booked with Aeon and she's really friendly and professional with 10yrs of experience under her belt. Talked the whole time so I didn't even noticed she was done with my haircut. Explained to her what I wanted and she nailed it! Will be trying the creme she recommended and see how it does

Called ahead only 10 minutes before I arrived to confirm they had space. Got a beard trim from Penelope who was fantastic. Very open to feedback about current progress, and did not push conversation when not necessary. 10/10.

I went into Millheads for the first time recently and had a great experience. Paul did a fantastic job of making sure I knew exactly what I was getting, provided really great conversation throughout the entire experience and then even taught me how to use some product they had around the store to get exactly the same results that weekend (had an important function coming up). He initially offered to style it for me on the day of said event (for free) but I couldn't take him up on it since I was traveling. You can't go wrong with this place. Good people doing great work!

Only reason I'm docking one star is because of the wait even though I had scheduled an appointment they didn't have me in the system. But George P hooked it up and left me looking fresh. All barbers here are good, chill spot with a cool vibe next to the waterfront.

I went to this barbershop for the first time today and I could not be happier. George P absolutely killed it. Not only was the cut awesome, but we had a great talk about a wide range of things. He is my go-to now that I just moved up here. Make sure to book him but leave me a spot every 3 weeks.

Best haircut I've ever gotten, good price, and literally just a few steps off the ferry. Paul was professional, courteous, asked questions to make sure I would be satisfied, and left me with the best haircut I've had in Seattle so far (sorry Rudy's). Not a hair out of place, in and out in just a few minutes, and my girlfriend is paying attention to me again. This is my new place for a monthly trim. Shout out to Blaze.

Great spot if you need a cut downtown. Staff is great, shop is clean and inviting (and sometimes there's a dog!). Aeon's been keeping me clean cut for years and is my gold standard for barbers. Highly recommend this gem.

Took my hubby here for a haircut this week. We loved the decor and atmosphere, and the staff was so welcoming. While I can't recall the name of the woman that cut his hair, she was amazing. She kept him engaged in great conversation and he was really happy with his hair when we left. Thank you! He will be back!!

My first visit here and it was great. I really enjoy the barbershop feel of the place. There were lots of barbers on hand. I had Paul, whom I will definitely use again. He was very pleasant and I appreciated him taking the time to give me tips on growing my beard. Will definitely be going back.

I had trouble with booking an appointment online last minute (mostly my fault) but Millheads was still able to accommodate me on a Saturday. Their staff was really friendly and personable, much more so than when I tried to go to Rudy’s. The haircut was really precise and my barber carried a great, easy conversation. A little more money than I’d like to pay at $38 for a short cut and wash, but worth it now and then for the service and the atmosphere. I will definitely be returning.

One of the best barbershop's I've ever been to. Very skilled barbers. You can get a close shave, steam towel, killer hair cut and a beer! All this from the friendliest staff you'll find anywhere. The look, vibe and laid-back atmosphere of the place makes you feel welcomed and comfortable. You want to make an appointment well in advance as they book up quickly but the wait and effort are well worth it. Simply the best!

Paul, the owner, has been my stylist for 3 years and the only person I'll let touch my hair after having two disastrous haircuts before finding him. My hair always looks amazing when I step away from his chair. I highly recommend him.

Update: Daniel still rocks! We still love MH! We took the ferry down today for a Mens Cut with Daniel. First of all, we were so surprised by the convenience of the location! Just minutes away from the ferry, and a short walking distance from the $3/ hr garage and Starbucks, Millhead in our mind is located at a prime location. The staff, all professional and knowledgeable in the art of cutting hair, AND of the city, made our day planning much easier! Daniel, is just super awesome, skilled, and friendly without over doing it. We absolutely loved him! Got the best cut ever! Last but but definitely not least, the lady hair stylist is WAY COOL. Gave me the best Chinatown lunch advice I could get. Never got her name, but was able to watch her in action and she was just super too! Thank you again Millhead and staff! You guys are so totally worth it to jump across the pond! You guys totally ROCK! See you again soon! :)

Late review. Davie actually cut my hair. (Assuming the amazing barber is still there....) I got the haircut about 7 months ago. But my point here is..... everywhere I’ve ever lived in my life.... I’ve never had someone do as good of a job as he did. I have thin blonde hair and I asked for a crazy really low skin fade. (Like lil money but I’m white and with blonde hair.) it was an amazing cut. The outgrowth even looked good for about a month. Only reason I didn’t go back to him when I was in seattle is because I was always “looking for something better”. He by far gave me my best and favorite haircut. Thanks, Davie!
