Best barber shop in town. Used to go to their location in Los Angeles. Portland is just as good. Very classic barber shop vibes and great hair cuts/beard trims. I've had mine done by both Loren and Logan and both did a great job. Prices are fair too. Highly recommended.

For some reason finding a barber you trust is harder than you think. Being new to portland I'm currently in that search. I was suggested this location a friend who's a local. He was right to suggest this place. The atmosphere is classic shabby chic, the folks there are all very nice, and the two different barbers I've gone two we're very talented. Prices seem typical of portland. I would advise to bring cash because not every barber uses card or venmo like services. Booking online was easy, although make sure you co firm your cut or get an email from booksy.

Ian Bergeron is an absolute pro. He's skilled and adaptable- I feel like I don't have to be super descriptive and he understands my needs. Every time I walk out of the shop I feel like a new man. The shop itself is casual and laid back yet has a great old school feel including the barbers themselves. Highly recommended.

This place is cool. The vibe is cool, the barber's seem cool. I like the traditional hot towel shave offered and really like that they take walk-in business. Nothing was rushed even tho my cut is all Clippers, scissors aren't necessary but my barber took his time with me. They even offered a glass of whiskey, Makers Mark if I recall correctly. The only downfall for me was cost. I keep my hair short so get cuts weekly, couldn't afford that If these guys were my regular barbers. Definitely recommend for those looking for a traditional barber shop, and if price isn't a factor for you.

My stylist was running behind and I had to wait half an hour, nbd, I don’t mind waiting. What I do mind is my stylist using me to make up his time short fall. I booked and haircut and a beard trim. My hair was pretty long. He had me out of there in 30 mins total. Felt very rushed. Had to clean up my beard at home. Overall, a disappointing first experience.

Manly & Sons is a terrific shop run by terrific people. I'm thrilled that these boys stuck together and opened their own place. Great talent, gone through some filters, now concentrated in one location. (Well two actually). Bill Collins has been my sole barber for two years. The first time I went in with no idea what I wanted for my long, messy hair after months traveling, he basically helped me craft the perfect cut. Now, I just walk in and tell him that I want the usual and I've never once been disappointed. Bill is a skilled barber and now a friend. He is even going to help me find a good barber after I move to New Orleans in a few weeks. Five stars, absolutely. I'd give more if I could.

I tried this place because I saw it had great reviews and was not disappointed. I got a hair cut from Bill Collins and was very pleased. I didn't even know what I wanted and Bill was spot on for a great look that I enjoy. Bill and the other staff around were very friendly and gave great conversation. I like the products that they offer there as well. They sell the Bearded Bastard products (local to PDX) and other great hair, beard, and mustache products (or beard and mustache removal) safety razors, straight razors, shaving brushes, shaving kit, and so on. It makes you feel very dapper.

Great staff and laidback environment. I’ve been getting my haircut here every month for the last year and haven’t received anywhere close to even a skeptical haircut. I usually get cuts from Chris, Loren, and Jesse but have had others cut my hair as well. Highly recommend this place!

Absolutely love this place. They've got a good appointment system, I've never had a hard time getting in to get a cut or beard trim. I've been in a handful of times, had a couple different barbers, never had a bad cut whatsoever.

It's a Portland barber shop without the fake flash. There's a mini fridge with beer, and a bottle of whiskey if your so inclined. The staff is a mix of mod rockers & punk, which is to be expected. You can make reservations online, or just walk in, but you're taking your chances on availability on the latter. As for the haircuts, they always manage to take me from overdue neglected Lego snap on hair to age appropriate reluctant cubical drone in a respectable thirty minutes.

I was in town just for a few days, and my boyfriend was getting a shave here (which looked great, he got a sweet mustache wax) and Jax was nice enough to trim my excessively split ends. She even gave me some nice layers, too. Love the atmosphere, it's like hanging out with friends.

100% the best haircut and beard trim I've ever had. Chris was not only incredibly talented and gave me exactly what I needed but we had a great conversation even though I came on short notice. Manly and Sons is now the only place I'll go to and has blown Bishops out of the water.

First time I went in there I didn't have an appointment. I was seem thou immediately and jessy did a great job. Best cut I've had to date. I asked for a razor fade and left the rest up to him. I live over 30 miles away but will go there everytime I need a cut. The price is fair and quality is exceptional. Even a good place for a kids cut. Only negative is horrible parking lol.

Can't speak for the others but Lorren is the only one in this town I can trust my hair with. She usually does anywhere from good to brilliant and my head is a bit of a minefield in terms of thinning & cow-licks. To put it in prospective, I've regretted men haircuts than I've liked in my life, so that's quite an achievement. I followed her when she left Modern Man. That place is pretty sad - the owner needs to invest more.

The informative consultation on pomades, especially from Lorren, from both times, were especially helpful. I'll be back for another good cut. Nice crew here.
