I came in to get my undercut shaped up with Steve and I am so happy how it turned out! Did an add on for some simple design lines and I love it. The instructors are great and it's a really friendly atmosphere at the academy all around, definitely coming back!

Have gone a few times and had great experiences with every student I've encountered. Edelfo and Jacob were both great and all the other students truly seem to care about what they're doing. Great price. Great service. I used to just shave my head myself but it's a no brainer to just let them do it and get a beard trim at the same time.

Great local business helping others build a future. Had a sharp cut and trim from Jacob. Instructor was right in hand when students had questions or needed a quick tip. Definitely a nice addition to the fantastic barber community that the FM area has to offer. Check them out.. 4 star just because there's always room for growth. And only one man was perfect, RIP Lemmy.

Brendan has been my barber for over 8 years and the first time getting my haircut at the new Barber Academy location. One of the nicest experiences I’ve had at a barber academy! You can tell all the people trying to get an education on barbering, really are dedicated! I had a great experience at Dakota Barber Academy and got an excellent haircut. My student barber, Jacob, did a great job. He was very professional, asked lots of questions to make sure I got what I wanted, and conferred with the instructor each step of the way so if you're worried about a student cutting your hair don't be. The instructor checked each step of the way offering tips, and tricks, but never needed to jump in and take over. I've been to the local chain salon everyone knows, national chains, and local barbers and while I can't complain about any of their service I also have to add Jacob's service was just as good (and at a steal of a price). Frankly, the haircut I got at the Dakota Barger College last week was spot on, exactly what I wanted. I'll be going back for sure, but I may have to stop when Jacob graduates so I can follow him to his first shop!

I couldnt have had a better experience at Dakota Barber Academy. Jacob cut my hair and was professional, courteous, and detailed, and a real joy to visit with. From the greeting when you walk in, to the service provided by Jacob and the immediate supervisor, you will not find a more complete value for your haircut anywhere in the tri-city area. I will definately be going back.

Jacob did a cut on my teenage son. He listened well to what my son wanted and proceeded with attention to detail. My son has a lot of wild hair patterns and Jacob worked around them with ease making sure the cut would look great. Jacob nailed the cut and allowed his vibrant personality to shine through. Jacob has great people skills in addition to becoming an excellent barber.

Eric cut both my boys hair. My teenager was worried because well because he's a teen and was afraid his hair would end up messed up going to someone still going through barber school. When Eric was done cutting his hair my teen asked if we could come back next time. My youngest absolutely dislikes getting his haircut. Once we left my youngest told me he was trying to be crabby but that Eric kept joking around with him making him laugh. We will definitely be going back.

Eric did a great job on my sons hair. He was still pretty early in his schooling so there are a few things he could improve on such as blending near the crown of the head a bit more but Over All he did an amazing job for only being a month in at the time. We will definitely be going back soon!

Brendan was my instructor when I was in barber school. Besides being one of the best barbers I know he has a real knack for teaching not only how to be a great all around barber, but he does a second to non job at preparing you for the other things that come with being a barber that you don't think about. Whether it be business, taxes, professional image, how to handle stressful situations, he is the guy that's going to have you ready for your career after school. He's also one of the most stand up people I know. 5 stars isn't enough.

Good experience. Cut was nice although I wanted a little more off the top. Just a couple points to ponder. You spent a lot of time on the back and sides. And the cut took longer than it should. My cut is the most basic one out there - finger width on top and 2-3 on sides and back. At MJ Cappeli, they have me done in 10-15 minutes. But you are learning and I can dig that. Those stylists went through the same learning experience as you. You'll get there.
