Definitely going back. **Edit** I usually go to Jesse to get a haircut and beard trim. Always a great conversation and excellent job on my hair and beard. I also recommend Steph. First time going to her today 8/26/22 and same great experience.

There’s a great clips somewhere around there if you can’t take the heat. And sometimes they have PBRs on hand, but they didn’t have them last time.. BRING THEM BACK! Jk.

I have been a patron of this place for about a year and I have been going to Jesse (one of the barbers) for a few years now. I know this place is operated and ran by some pretty awesome people who care a lot about their own safety as well as their patrons’ safety! They have gone to great lengths to ensure that proper procedures are being put in place in order to practice safe distancing and procedures. While I know the staff is wearing face coverings and now face shields, I fully believe that the staff here are doing everything they can to promote the safest environment possible. I will continue to patron this establishment due to the level of professionalism and service I have received. 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

I have been getting my hair and my son's hair cut here for some time now, and as recent as 2 weeks ago. Jesse has never disappointed and you can tell that this shop genuinely cares about and knows their clients. I drive over 45 minutes to get it cut here. The shop is incredibly clean, well maintained, and very welcoming. They are most certainly a customer first business! I will not get it cut anywhere else!

They always do a great job on my hair and beard. Cozy kind of joint, personable barbers who always offer you a beer while you wait. Call ahead if you're in a rush, I usually wait about 10-15 minutes. Sometimes longer if it's busy, sometimes there's no wait at all. Call ahead if you're on a schedule, but honestly I like this place because it's more of a neighborhood experience. It's an errand I enjoy. Plus I always come out looking fresh and dapper for a reasonable price.

Steph is ALWAYS great! Not sure about a couple of the other reviews, because when I was there everyone was wearing masks. Definitely need to check them out for a fantastic cut! Nic is the best. He provides a worry free cut everytime. My hair looks like a hurricane map and he's the only stylist that has figured out how it needs to be cut and he knocks it out of the park each time. By far the best stylist I've ever had! Thanks, Nic!

I've been going to the Barber Sharp for almost four years now and I absolutely love it. Every barber there does an excellent job so I'm never worried which one I get - the location is great and the decor is wonderful. The only downside is the wait can be a little bit long at times but if you check the camera on their website before you head over you can sort of estimate how long it will be. Overall, I wouldn't go anywhere else!

Wanted to go to a barber as I've been going to stylists for years and miss the days when a guy could get a nice, clean, well groomed cut. I was so very happy to stumble upon the reviews for this place. The atmosphere is laid back, just like I like it. It was clean, comfortable and the staff is great. Very reasonably priced, especially for the service you receive and the attention to detail. Parking was right in front of the storefront and was free (in the city...free on street parking is a dream). Very conveniently located as well. This is my new go-to for cuts, period.

Walk in service was great. Visited here on my way to an appointment and they got me in for a haircut+beard trim right away. The barber was courteous and attentive. Shaved a new mohawk in no time and did a pretty good job in my opinion. Definitely check this place out. They take card too which is less common that you'd think at barber shops.

This shop is so great! I get waxing services from Steph and will never go anywhere else. Her and all the other barbers are smiling and welcoming and make you feel right at home from the moment you walk in. Steph is professional, always on time and provides an excellent service. If there are any other ladies out there are looking for waxing services, go see Steph and she will clean you up! This shop is located in a great neighborhood in Northeast, close to shops, breweries and places to eat, so i love making an afternoon appointment and then grabbing a bite down the street. Just moved into the area and need a hair cut bad. I searched barber near me. "The barber shop" was down the road. I walked into a cool vintage up beat barber shop. I was greated right away! The staff are cool and give off a good vibe for a nice atmosphere. I walked in not knowing what to expect. Then left with not only a great hair cut, But many recommendations. Your proprietor Kelly has created a great Northeast vibe here and you'll enjoy the hospitality. People are great, the service is excellent, if you have any questions or comments, they are really helpful. Check the video on their website about how to talk with/to your barber, it is really informational, and can make your first time trip more fulfilling. Do not be surprised if you try to walk in and have to wait for 30 minutes or so, because even with all chairs available, as it is a really popular shop.

I've just returned from The Barber Sharp and I think they did a great job. A quality cut is a necessity; a Nick (who evidently just started there after working as a master barber somewhere in St. Paul for a number of years) was diligent in delivering a great cut. It was thorough and representative of his passion. I appreciate that he was efficient, but didn't hurry. He listened well at the beginning. Tapered the sides where the hair grows quicker. Did a hot foam shave at the edges at the end. The beer was pretty neat; the environment is great - I like that it's a barber shop for men and has some character. I will be going back.

The Barber Sharp is an old fashion, quality men's barber for modern people. Enjoy a free PBR while you get your hair cut. The old school barber chairs are comfy and the staff really know their stuff. They give you a great cut and you can enjoy a nice conversation while they're cleaning you up. Prices are great (a couple bucks more than those chain hair cut places but far better quality), the location is perfect, and the people that work there make it the best place in the Twin Cities to get your hair cut. Recently moved to Northeast and I was in need of a new barber. I went in on a Saturday, which may have not been the best decision, as they can be pretty busy, but I went anyway as that's when I had time. I waited a little over half an hour, with several people ahead of me when I arrived. When it was my turn Kelly was about to head out the door, but she decided to squeeze me in. I gotta say it was well worth the wait. Best haircut I have received in years, I barely had to give any direction for what I wanted with my haircut, and it came out exactly how I wanted it, if not better. Don't expect a terribly quick cut, as these people take precision and care with their cuts, and the product is worth the wait. I will be gladly returning for a beard trim shortly and intend on making this establishment my regular barber shop.

Excellent men's hair cuts by Barbers not beauticians. A true full service barber and the only place I know that gives a razor finish to the neck. Derrick is awesome and I always leave looking great. The owner Kelly has a line of beard oils that is second to none.

Great haircuts, which is what matters most! But they have a poor split on being a first come first serve Barber shop that takes a lot of appointments... Making their "traditional walk in barber shop" sign misleading. Don't come here with ANY time expectations. Otherwise you will probably be disappointed.

After getting my beard butchered at another barber shop in the Cities I was quite cautious about trusting anyone with my face fur again, but the ladies here are amazing. THIS is what a barbershop should be. If you are a guy in Mpls/St Paul you owe it to your hair to come here.

No appointment necessary - they have a very hip vibe, offer PBRs with haircuts. Check the website to see how crowded it is. Highly recommend for a reasonably priced cut. Quick addendum: they say they're open until 7:00 PM on their website. They are not - they're open until 6:15, and then they draw a line on their sign-in and tell you they cannot accommodate you. No matter what. I still love getting my hair cut here, just know that if you're someone who doesn't get home from work before 6, you basically have to go here on the weekend.

I just went to the Barber Sharp on a whim after none of the other places I called answered their phones. I saw the equality sticker in their window and decided to give it a shot. I'm a queer female with a strange haircut, so I have a difficult time finding a stylist I can trust. The barber had absolutely no trouble cutting my hair, and the shop was inviting. The service was cheap, fast, and good. I'm never going anywhere else for a haircut. Thanks, Barber Sharp!

I've been going since they reopened due to Covid (had to trim that quarantine beard) and Jesse did a FANTASTIC job both times, he's both professional and keeps his area as clean as can be. I plan on making this a biweekly thing, and would recommend this place in a heartbeat. And contrary to what I've read posted below, all the staff were wearing masks, as well as the customers, with the exception if they, like me, were getting a beard trim. Edit: Nic is a sweetheart and awesome as well. Jessie wasnt available the day I needed a trim, but Nic was and he was fabulous.

Before moving to MN, My brother and I were visiting looking for possible places to move, he needed a cut so I joined him. We looked up some reviews and it seemed Barber Sharp was the place for his needs so he got a cut, which he really enjoyed, by Mike (no longer there) 6 months later it was time for me to get a haircut and Barber Sharp was the only place I was even semi familiar with. I went to get a haircut by Mike as well. Keep in mind I have Extremely thick and curly hair which I know is difficult to cut to my liking, at least on the first attempt. (This knowledge comes from NEVER getting a cut I enjoyed by anyone other than my barber of 16 years) I was actually very pleased with the outcome of Mikes cut. It was a bit different then I was used to, but found myself really diggin' it! Just tonight I called to see if Mike was around and I was told he was else-ware now, but figured If he did well, I am sure the rest of the Sharp crew would as well. I was greeted by Kelly, the owner who was such a delightful, and rad person! Shes very hip and fun to talk with! Owning a business related to great hospitality, I have to say this was one of the most hospitable experiences thus far in MN for me. It was a slow night and everyone gathered around the small room for good conversation after she kicked her dog off the chair for me to take a seat! We had a great time talking, and I felt as if we had all been friends and known each other for a while. This type of experience I find to be very rare. I highly recommend at least giving them a try, and if you are a guy with curly hair like me you seriously need to make sure you have Kelly cut your hair, I doubt you will be disappointed! She even asked me to show her what I do with my hair in the morning while getting ready, so she had a better idea of how to cut it to fit my needs - so rad! Oh, and as I was thinking "where is the PBR I know they hand out" she had asked if i knew they used to give out a beer while giving haircuts, I replied yes, and she told me how insurance had asked if they stopped, which is understandable i guess. Luckily I now know next time I am more then welcome to bring in my own brew to enjoy! Hell, Ill bring a 6 pack to share with the sharp crew / other guests! I will be going to Kelly for every single cut till the day I leave MN, whenever that is!

Called for an appointment at 10:10 thus morning, I set up an appointment for 11:30. I arrived at 11:20 and was told by Steph that it would only be a few minutes, We introduced ourselves and I was out of there in 20 minutes with a wonderful haircut. I was a new customer and I will be going back for my next haircut. Please note that I was at least 35 years older than Steoh but I felt very comfortable with our conversations.

I've been here four or five times now and I love it everytime. It's an old school barber shop with todays styles. They really do quality work and take their time to give you a nice cut. Too many places now just rush you in and out, well not this place. Everyone is really friendly, and it has that Ma & Pa shop feel. Bonus, you can get a PBR with your cut if you want. They do everything from straight razor shaves and beard trims to great men's hair cuts. I've sent a few friends there and they all love it too.

I found this place about 4 years possibly 5 after the place i went to closed! And have only gone another place once and regretted it immediately! I now know why I go here, and can't even really use the expression "that's why I pay more" here. Up until now they were only 11 to 12 dollars depending on paying method and may be more around 14? Which is still great and I end up being able to give the extra buck or two that I save to the barber. Good business aspect! Keeping the prices lower and in return that goes to the employees, having them happier to please the customer and them coming back for repeat business and word of mouth obviously is good for the entire place. I always recommend you guys! Thanks.!

Kelly and her staff have built up quite a spot here in Northeast. Anyone I end up going to is knowledgeable and makes sure my hair and beard looks great before I leave. Kelly also sells a beard oil that's just fantastic with a variety of scents. I recommend the Ryder style, it smells best to me.

I've been going to see Kelly Sharp since shortly after she opened her doors on 13th St. I initially went because she is one of the very few barbers around who offers a straight razor shave. What keeps me coming back is the friendly atmosphere and how good my hair looks.

A young lady, who will remain nameless (Kayla), came into work with the CUTEST haircut. Shaved in the back and long and swoopy on the top and one side - okay so I'm not doing it justice but it was cute! I am a 50' something year old and have never had a bold haircut - but was dying to try something less frumpty with my hair. I went to the Barber Sharp and they "did me up right"! I have had so many compliments on my hair, it is so easy to style, it is current, age appropriate and makes my wide face look slender (okay, well maybe not slender but much less wide)!!!
