The most skilled barber I have had in the last decade or so. My hair type is not easy for most barbers but Roy is exceptional and his results never disappointed. Most of other barbers I have had in the past wasted my time as they don’t take appointments or honor appointments if do take. Roy keeps his word. His prices are also very reasonable and consistent. It’s impressive how he can transform all hair types from curly to straight and anything in between. Highly recommended!!

I have been coming to Hair Lounge Barbershop for over a year and have had great service every time. I highly recommend Ahmed as he has been giving cuts to perfection. Great service, great response time, open to have conversations if you want that as well. I know every time I need a cut, all I have to do is call or text Ahmed and he will make it work. If you need a cut right away, he will try to make it a priority to fit you into his schedule. Every time you leave Hair Lounge Barbershop, you feel like a million bucks.

I’ve been coming here twice a month for the past 8 months and I must admit I’m impressed every single time. I’ve seen a lot of these reviews mention Roy but I’ve been using Ahmed and the things he can do with hair are incredible — he can look a picture once and not only copy that style but also tailor it to your head/face shape to ensure it looks the best on you. He encourages me to change my style up every couple months and it’s made me expand my choices and not get bored of the same thing. The price is also very reasonable too with a base price of $40 but I normally add another $20 as a tip considering my haircuts take close to an hour.

I was able to get an afternoon appointment on a Saturday with Roy. When I got there a few moments early, he was ready for me on-time finishing the prior cut. Wow, what a great artists eye he has for men's hair! I showed him "attempts" of prior haircuts I'd had, but weren't great, and he said, "Please, let me do this right for you". When I looked in the mirror at the end, it was exactly right. I have thinning white-guy hair in my mid-thirties, and it's hard to make me look good with a fade. But this guy rocked! Ight. So, normally I only go to black barbers (I was raised doing this). But I had to get an emergency haircut on the spot and they were the only ones around the did walk-ins. I was a bit nervous, but Roy hooked me up. He even did better than some black barbers that I’ve been to. Adult haircut is $35 which is more than I’m used to, but for the quality it was worth it. I went to the boss himself, Roy. I’ve been getting haircuts with many people around the twin cities but this man is something special. I don’t think I will ever go anywhere else to get my haircut. It's my "go-to" place every week. I love the experience that Roy gives me with the old fashioned professional straight-edge razor and hot towel shave. We laugh lots; he's a fun guy. He told me he was an "artist," but then I realize that he takes his sculpting of a beard that seriously. So now I agree, Roy is an artist. Most of his customers are young and trend-setting, but he does a great job even on somebody like me (turning gray). I've been going there for months. Oh, and now I normally reserve a day in advance, but the Hair Lounge and Roy still takes in "walk-ins" and gladly accepts credit cards too.
