Great cut and really friendly and professional. As a guy with fast growing hair that I wear fairly long it is hard to find barbers who are able to cut it well and do an old fashion shave and beard trim to accompany it. Dom cut my hair today and he did a great job and is very friendly and professional as well. You won’t be let down if you are in the area and need a barber. PS as a parent I noticed several children getting their hair cut as I was getting mine done and they did an awesome job with them too rarely do you find adult barbers who are just as comfortable with kids.

I have been their Customer for couple of years since I moved to Houston and though the price that I pay is a little bit higher than the average out there but I don’t mind at all since it comes with hospitality, punctuality, cleanliness and good quality. I have had several bad (real bad barbershops in Houston though they’re much cheaper in price but they lack of quality, customer service and hospitality with one of them was reported to HPD). With that being said since I’m with the V’s Barbershop Nick is the only guy who cut my hair from the first time up to date and I could tell you that he’s down to earth kinda guy and professional in his own profession. His work ethic is always above and beyond reproach. I also enjoy great conversation and great professional service from him!

It was my first time going to V’s and Tamika made me feel relaxed and listened to what I was looking for in my hairstyle and beard trim. She’s been cutting hair for a long time so you can sit back comfortably and feel confident she’ll make you look good. I asked for tips on some products and she recommended some they had as well as some others. . The thing that made it the most enjoyable was the beard trim and application of the different beard balm products-really makes you feel brand new. It’s been a couple months since my cut there and I plan to go back soon!

UPDATE! This is my third or fourth haircut with Mr. Hawkins, man pays as much detail and attention (or maybe more) to the fade, as my first haircut with him. This my friends is quality that keeps customer returning. Haircut is always sharp. Made my appointment to get a haircut here for the first time. I thought I had scheduled it for Friday, but accidentally did it for Saturday. Regardless, and even though I was 24 hours early to my appointment, the front desk guy quickly shuffled some things around and told me the Dominique Hawkins could see me now. Dominique quickly took me to the chair, covered the regular pleasantries, and went to work. He ask me what I wanted, to which I replied "skin fade, trim up top". He got to work in no time, paying considerable attention to detail on the fade... Needless to say this man has a new client. Awesome fade!!! If you want a skin fade Dominique is your guy!!!!

Nic Gill is such an awesome barber! I got the "Deluxe Beard Trim" and I was very happy with this service. I felt super relaxed because they use a heated towel with some type of aromatic scent before and after the shave. Also their aftershave smells really good. Great cut. The guys and ladies are real relaxed in there. Hot towels. Straight razors. All the old school stuff. I will say I highly recommend making an appointment though. There are times when they are booked up and the appointments take precedence over walk-ins (as they should). There is an app to make appointments so it is super easy to do. It to me feels like the barbershop of old. People don’t “hang out” there but there is plenty of talk about sports, life etc. Most of the sports talk is out loud across barbers at times… it feels like a community. They have been here for over 7 years I think. I have been going since day 1. Tamika, Martin, Mario, Nic and the rest of the crew will take care of you!

As someone new to the west side of Houston and been in the look for a new barber, I must say this place did its job. My rating is coming from how awesome my new barber nic was. I told him what and how I wanted my fade and beard and he did everything. The place itself has that old-school feel to it and took me back from when I was little and went to a barber shop. Sports on the tunes beer to drink and just guys talking. From the hot towel to the straight shave, this place has it going and very clean as well. I will be back and found my new barber shop. The only downside of this place is the price. $50 for a fade and shave, ouch but I guess the prices are going now. My rating for this is a 4.5

Second time there and it has been a really good experience. First time i just wanted a little trimmed on my hair and got what i asked... really good job. Second time i wanted a faded and wow... got it really good. I travel a lot for work and is hard to find places and people who do the haircut the way i like it but in here, they did A really great job and i like they take walks-in as well as appointments... but since i dont get a fix schedule of when I’ll be free, walking in is the best option for me. Dont remember the names of the ones who got my haircut, the first one was a lady and the second one a guy (who i think was the manager, not sure) but i can tell they all know what they doing and do it good. Also, got one of the pomades they have for sale and i really love how it works. Definitely going back to get the haircut here if im still in houston or whenever im back in town

Whenever I go to get my haircut I always make the journey to come to this Barber Shop for one of my favorite barbers, Master Barber Chris. He's knowledgeable on all types of hair from male to female of different races and sometimes I don't know what I want and I tell him "Whatever you think would look good" and he NEVER dissapoints, at least in my experiences. Sometimes it's just great to have a meaningful conversation wow you get the best cut you've ever had lol High Recommend him.

I was on visit to Houston for a wedding and needed a haircut on a short schedule. I found this place on Google maps and was hesitant as I walked in. The prices are a little high and I wasn't sure if I would be able to get a decent fade here. I bit the bullet and was kindly greeted by Allison. Allison was very nice and professional throughout the cut. I asked for a med hi fade with a hard part and a top trim. The haircut took about 30 min but the end result was awesome. I actually had several good experiences getting my hair cut with Martin. On my last visit to V's another barber charged me 30 dollars just to take my beard off with clippers, which took about 20 seconds. I didn't get a shave or anything like that. I haven't been back since.

I was offered a drink by two different people as soon as I walked in, the ambiance is on point, they have plenty of reading material if for some reason you have to wait and there are TV's everywhere. All-in-all, this place is for real. I went to Tameka and she was awesome. I've had the same cut for about 15 years and she convinced me to switch up which wasn't an easy task. I got to say I love itthe more important item to note is that my wife loved it and approves entirely of Tameka's work.
