Trucking Life

For any men that wants to look sharp and classy I recommend you to come and visit Professional Barber Shop in downtown Hartford, it's a great place to get a real gentleman's hair cut and a straight razor blade shave with hot towels just like our grandfathers used to do and unlike mall hair cut parlors this place is really a gentleman's place to treat yourself just like your wife and or girlfriend do when they go to get their pedicure done. As you wait you get treated to a cold drink, great music and if you're a suit then you can get your shoes shined just like back in the good days. Check them out, I'm sure that you'll visit them again. P.S. At the end of every cut you get treated to a nice shoulder rub so you can walk out of the shop looking refresh and feeling relax.

The service is fantastic, and the shop is clean and organized. Everyone working there is welcoming and on top of the great experience, the work is consistently amazing.

Danny is amazing! His attention to detail is second to none. I never leave the barber shop satisfied with my haircut but everytime I go to Danny he is spot on and I feel great! The finest haircut I have ever gotten in my life! Price is perfect! A hidden gem in Hartford. The deer shoulder mounts hanging on the walls are a plus for people who love the outdoors lol :)

A traditional barber shop with a very classic feel. They're very talented! Dan is a great barber. They're definitely a bit pricey - a men's haircut comes to $35 flat - but you pay the premium for a premium cut for sure. I do not think they're overpriced. My only opposition is that they're a cash-only business and, in 2021, this is a massive downside. They have an ATM inside with a $3 withdrawal fee. I literally never have cash on my person and have to withdraw just to attend an appointment. That said, they're worth the effort in this case. I wish they'd stray from a cash-only business, but I'll still recommend them regardless.

By far the best barber shop I’ve been too, been to many other shops in my life but this one by far is the best I’ve been too, service was great, fair prices, great staff, great environment, great haircut. This place deserves a 5 stars all day, by the far the best in Hartford, never disappoints in my opinion every cut I’ve gotten has been 100% perfect and to my ultimate expectations They also sell every hair product I use, they will give you good advice on products to use for your hair love the staff they always make me feel welcome every time I walk through the door, now I see why all my friends recommend that I go here Thanks again professional!

Prior to my wedding, my groomsmen and I came in for haircuts. Wonderful experience, everyone was extremely professional and accommodating. Cold beer, cigar room, and a great cut; what else can you ask for? Will be back soon!

The owner, Chris, is incredibly nice and helpful. He has been cutting my hair for years, and I never have any complaints. The place has a classic babershop style and feel, with other great barber options if Chris is unavailable. Straight razor neck, part in your hair (if wanted), and hot towel finish makes this the only place I get my hair cut! The staff and service is nothing short of professional.

Best barber shop I have ever been to. My friend and I got to a convention in town every summer, and we wait till be get to town to get hair cuts here. Great hair cut, it comes with a shoulder massage and as many beers wa you can drink while your waiting and getting your hair cut. Just watch out for those hairs falling into your beer.

Moved to Hartford and now this will be the only place I get my hair cut. Every barber is extremely professional and provide perfect cuts every time. The building itself has a great feel with TV’s for sports. Would recommend to others 100%.

I have a unique head of hair, with waves and cowlicks. I have been going to the same person for 6 years, but i am in town for work and needed a cut. I was very nervous, but Sebastian listened very well and cut my hair exactly the way i wanted. Highly suggest this place. The price is crazy cheap for the service. He was friendly, and he cared about doing a good job.

I bought my Father a gift card here and he LOVED it. He is very old fashion and particular but came out and said it was the best cut/shave he ever had. He said the hot towel after the cut was great. The owner was very friendly and offered him something to drink while he was there. Great location and place to visit while in Hartford.

I flew into Hartford on a red eye from Los Angeles and the hotel did not have a room ready, so i walked down the street and came across this barbershop in the heart of downtown. Having business the next two days in Hartford I went in to get cleaned up. I have short beard and only a "few feathers" on top so i can start to look a little scraggly. I went inside and these guys were very cool and professional, and the shop has great vibe. I am 59 and I have had my hair cut all over this country and Europe too. Chris was the best barber that I can recall. Excellent the straight blade skills and has obviously has had a lot of training and experience. I would give him and his shop 6 stars if that was available, and the coffee is excellent as well. Anytime i am back in Hartford I am going in for the treatment.

I drive in about 40 minutes to get my hair cut here. It's a guys shop, ESPN on big screen TV's, cold beer on tap etc. Great attitudes and atmosphere. I've been coming here for about 2 years now and always try to time it so I can come here for my haircut. My son is home from the Air Force and brought him with me. Great place for a guy to get a great hair cut.

Went in for a beard trim expecting to pay $15, as advertised on their website. Wasn't aware they were also going to charge me $35 for a hot shave, when I expected a quick trim with the clippers. First and last time visiting this ripoff joint. I normally get a full haircut with beard trim for $25, and by someone with much more skill too. Update: Kudos to Professional Barber Shop for contacting me following this situation. Very apologetic for something that we are going to chalk up to a miscommunication. Updating from 1 star to 4

These guys are amazing. They have complimentary beer, wine, whiskey, and soda while you wait in a classic barbershop setting. The barbers are skilled and pay close attention to their work. I highly recommend getting a straight shave; it's relaxing and gets your face crazy smooth. I don't think I'll be going anywhere else any time soon.

Love this barbershop, it has a great atmosphere which brings back the feel of the 1920's. All the barbers that work here are great and give amazing hot towel shaves, haircuts, and even finish off with vacuum tube to make sure you are clean enough to go straight to work or meeting. Definitely my go-to barbershop, I recommend this place to all those who want to experience a different type of barbershop that provides a unique setting and quality service delivering a great haircut or shave. Not to mention they have a shoe shining chair there too, Two thumbs up!

I was a part of a groomsman party here. They were extremely accommodating and had us all looking sharp for the wedding the next day. They have a quality atmosphere and hilarious banter that rivals anything you would catch on the several TV's in the shop if you're looking to catch some sports or news updates. Definitely recommend either for an infrequent professional haricut or your regular visits; and if you can swing it, the VIP lounge is the way to go!

Friendly barbers. Cash only but they have an ATM machine! I found out too late to only realize my debit card has expired. They were understanding while I ran to the nearest ATM to withdraw using in-app withdrawal. LOLOL Will go back here again!

Delroy Nelson....really??? I was at the barber shop when you said this took place waiting for my Grandson and what you say absolutely didn’t happen! The owner of the shop bent over backwards for you and even charged you less! The 2 people that do ethnic hair are superb or they wouldn’t be working at THE PROFESSIONAL Barber Shop...come on now who are you helping out or have something against is my question. This place rocks!

First time visiting Professional Barber Shop; from the moment I entered, I knew I was in for something special. I made an appt with the owner, Chris, at the recommendation of a good friend, (DJDarthFader), and was seated promptly. Chris took such care in my hair and cut that I was hooked immediately. His passion and intensity for his craft is pure genius. I wish I had found this place 20 years ago. I cannot recommend Professional Barber Shop enough and I look forward to my next appt.
