This place is the best Barber around. I have been going to Ryan before he even started Coves and he is great. I also go to Sammi to get my hair color highlighted (blue, purple, pink, red) she does an amazing job and I always get complements.

I took my 7 year old son to Coves for a haircut on 9-19-2021. This was our first time going to Coves. We saw Sammi and she was great right from the start. I showed her a picture of what I was looking for and she said that would be no problem. She did an amazing job, paying attention to detail and making sure I was happy with how his haircut came out. My son loved the haircut too and asked when we could come back again and if we can get all his haircuts there. I plan on taking my younger son to see Sammi for a haircut as well. Definitely recommend.

My two teenagers and I have been going to Ryan for years. He is one of the nicest guys you would ever meet and is an incredible barber. His shop is professional, clean and fun. I will never consider anyone else

I have been going here for 2+ years now. Probably over 3 to be honest. I have always had trouble finding a place to cut my hair and once I started at Cove's I don't want to go anywhere else. Ryan and the rest of the crew are amazingly polite and cleanliness is paramount. Covid kind of messed with the vibe for awhile but it's more like a sports bar you get a hair cut at. Play darts, shoot pool, catch the game on one of many screens... and then walk out looking better than you did walking in.

Ryan has been cutting my hair for 6+ years now and even though I’ve moved, I won’t let anyone else touch it. He and the staff make the experience something you look forward to and appreciate. It’s a great place for adults and kids alike, as there is a pool table, dart board, TVs, video games, etc. Despite being booked for months in advance, Ryan is always willing to go out of his way to accommodate you if at all humanly possible. Honestly can’t recommend enough.

Cove's is, easily, the best barbershop I have ever gone to. Ryan has been my barber for about 3 years. This guy does great work and has good insight into what would look good if you want to try something new. Not to mention the barbershop itself, is set up in a way that is inviting and comfortable for all ages. Definitely check it out!

Fantastic place. Great weekend hours, great attention to detail, great value (more than the standard $20 cut but still very good price, especially since a wash is included), kind barbers, and easy to schedule appointments online. Steve is my go to guy and I recommend everyone book him. I used to live in the area but since moved 35 minutes away. I still make the drive for most cuts because nothing in the New Haven area beats this shop.

My father in law is visiting and mentioned how he would love a fresh shave and cut. Being last minute we were hoping to get an appointment same day. We looked up barber shops in our area and this was the 4th place we called and they had great availability and do the straight edge shave many other barber shops don’t do. Great customer service, friendly staff, very cool atmosphere. I was able to play some pool while waiting. 👍🏻👍🏻

Today I went to Cove’s just to check the shop out, I was greeted by the staff and they told me that they had a cancellation and they could get me in right away . As I was waiting, very briefly,my wife and I looked around their shop and they had a pool table, dartboard, and miniature golf, something that kept kept us occupied until they were ready it was very pleasant. I was then greeted by “Eddie Allaben” one of the professional barbers, he was very attentive and talked about his passion of being a barber. Eddie took his time and gave me a excellent haircut and he didn’t even give me any razor burn! There was even a hot towel that was used For my beard shape up. My haircut came out excellent, and I definitely will go there again for my future haircuts, especially knowing that they are open on a Sunday which is only my one day off. This barbershop is definitely a five star business and I would recommend them to anyone who wants a great experience, from the time you wait, till the time you get your haircut. Thank you for the great service!!!

My new favorite place for my kids haircut! Ryan truly goes above and beyond for his customers. I have a 3yo and 5yo and he was sooo good with them, gentle, explaining everything he was doing, he even put their favorite tv channel on. We have been here a few times and always had a good experience. Yesterday we went back for my sons first haircut after the COVID closing. We were a few mins early for our appointment. I appreciated the gentleman that came out to greet us and take my son’s temperature. We showed a picture of exactly what my son wanted. I waited in the car and my son (13) came out in less than 15 mins with a less than optimal haircut. They welcomed us back in to do a quick fix on it. The owner reached out after this review to make things right. When a business takes the time to listen to their customers and make things right, that’s a place worth giving another shot. Things happen and we will go back in a few weeks to give it another try!

Great weekend hours. OPEN Sunday's . Highly recommend making an appointment online which was very easy. Closed Monday and Tuesday. Very cool barbershop. Son received a great haircut. Very reasonable price! Will definitely return.

Great spot to get a men's haircut and a shave. Super friendly and a quality cut. Also beard trim/ shaping. The can cover your grey if needed. You can book your appointment online and they send reminders. You can play pool or a video game While you wait to be called for your cut.

Went in today for a pro shave and beard taming. Had a beard for 5ish years just winging it on my own. This was my first time having someone else giving me a shave (apart from surgery). ED IS AN ARTIST! Such a level of skill and deftness. Amazing shave experience.... who'd have thought so many relaxing steps... My wife loves it... says my skin is glowing. THANKS!

Great experience at this barber shop . Cut a nice haircut , had my hair washed and scrubbed . They also blowed dried it. You get what you pay for. They took their time so make sure you don’t have any plans for the day.
