Not only because he is an absolute professional and his skills are perfect (haircut is always on point), but he always has a welcoming smile, asks how you are doing, and keeps the conversation fun! Moreover, all of the other workers at Holy Moses are extremely friendly and professional, so the entire experience is fantastic. My rating for James and Holy Moses in general has been and continues to be perfection. Highly, highly recommended and I can’t wait for the Dublin, Ohio location to open up!

My grandpa was a barber and always cut my hair. After he retired I only went to quick and easy places. My fiancee made me get an actual haircut. She suggested this place and I was able to get in same day. Absolutely the best haircut I have ever had. I showed Lennon the style I was going for and he made it even better. He even gave me tips to help improve the look I was going for. Very reasonably priced. Close cultured staff. 10/10.

Today, I got the best haircut of my life. Lennon is an amazing barber, with an eye for the subtle details. From the haircut, to beard trim and neck shave Lennon provided excellent care. I applaud Holy Moses for having Lennon on their team. In the end, I bought a few products recommended to me because of the exceptional work my barber did using those products.

To set the scene: it was a dark unexplored forest untouched by the hands of mankind. Indiana Jane or (as her friends and colleagues knew her) Sammi was exploring this new forest with her trusty clipperwhip when all of a sudden_SNAKES! SNAKES WERE EVERYWHERE! 'why'd it have to be snakes?' but Indiana Jane pulled out her trusty clipper whip and got to work *whizz* *shwack* *glzz* and the snakes were no more. She also managed to cut down the forest pretty well. Enough that light could shine through. Satisfied she went on in search of treasure. There's no one else I trust with my hair than Justin. Warm, welcoming, cordial, the least stressful experience I have ever had when getting a haircut happens when I come to Holy Moses. Cord was great! I’d been recommended this place several times over the past couple of months, while I’d been complaining to coworkers and friends about not enjoying haircut experiences. This set the bar VERY high. I totally failed to take a photograph of the interior of the place, but it has a modern yet classic appeal of a barbershop. I've never enjoyed getting haircuts and always put it off as long as possible. When I go to discount places like Great Clips I feel like I have to spell out literally each thing I want to happen or else something drastic might go wrong. And even after all that it could still be disasterous. So I finally decided to do some research and came up with Holy Moses as one of the top Men's Barber spots in Columbus; they were right. The staff were incredibly nice and my barber Wesley was without question the best barber I've ever had cut my hair. His skill and technique combined with his intuition about what would look good on me was insanely impressive. The only thing I regret is I was so used to leaving a $5 tip when I went to Great Clips that I left the same tip today and now I feel bad for Wesley. Regardless, if you're looking for a professional, extremely skilled cut, look no farther than Holy Moses. I'll never go anywhere else again (even though it's like 45min from my house! That's how much I loved it).

She took time to understand what I was looking for, asked if I had any concerns and we even talked about how I had worn my hair in the past. In the end, I had an updated cut which was noticed and complimented immediately when I returned to my office. And my S.O. said it's the best haircut they had ever seen on me! Lisa is awesome! She’s been cutting my hair for a couple years now, and despite recently moving 20+ minutes from the shop, I’ve continued to make the trip to see her. Worth it. SO I am from Marion, OH and it is pretty difficult to find a decent local place to get a professional haircut. After scouring the internet I settled on trying out Holy Moses. Booking was simple and the online booking page gives you all the choices you need as well as a simple password recovery tool if you are absent minded like me. Location is great, easy to get to with plenty of parking space. The inside gives a nice clean feeling and they are practicing the pandemic guidelines quite well. Kasey was the one taking care of me and she was exceptional! Usually you have awkward conversation with a stylist/barber while they work on you, but she has a very relaxed attitude and treats you like a friend she has known for years. I had scheduled a regular cut but decided to shave my head down completely. They lowered the price down for me, we added on a beard trim and I was good to go. Kasey is extremely skilled with a precision touch and good professionalism/friendly mix. I won't go anywhere else or to anyone else from now on.

This was one of several shops that we called, desperately needing someone to fix a bad attempt at texturizing my hair. Tiff answered and put me in her busy schedule at 8:45 the next morning(A SATURDAY!!!!) The establishment is clean and orderly. Tiff examined my hair and was confident that she could aid my situation. She constantly asked me at each step my opinion on how things looked. I loved what she did at each step and was considering going bald. However, she did transform my hair situation from a nightmare to something that was extremely complimentary. One of her colleagues, on my and her request came over and added the finishing touch with a great lining that accentuated what Tiff had expertly achieved. My wife and daughter gave me rave reviews on the transformation. Thank you Tiff!!

Justin facilitated my first haircut in 2.5 years by opening it as a dialogue from the beginning. We were able to fully discuss what styles might or might not work, and this eased the stress I had had from not being in the barbering chair for so long. After pleasant conversation and full explanations on Justin's part covering what he would be doing, I also received excellent guidance in the simple daily maintenance of the hairstyle I was given. Justin just gave me the best haircut of my life. I am a complete stickler when it comes to my hair and he exceeded my expectations and then some. I had hair restoration surgery back in October so at the current time I still have a scar from ear tip to ear tip around the back of my head making it extremely difficult to do a proper fade without revealing the scar. Justin did an amazing job. Best fade ever, cut the top specific for what fit me, and didnt reveal the scar. Also, he advised me on some new product that would make my hair appear fuller and style better. If you're looking for a celebrity level barber/stylist, Justin is your guy. James

Another exceptional visit. I visited 3 years ago, and feel like I went that long without a hair cut. Tiff was chill, and open about the process and provided insight on the drastic style change. Super thick shoulder length hair transformed into an undercut with a flawless edge top knot combo. As the mountain of locks fell to the floor the conversation was pleasant and engaging. As the great T-800 once said... "I'll be back".... From the first visit... First time visitor, off a co workers request. Not disappointed at all. There is definitely a required passion and artistic craft with barbershop stylings. 10/10 enjoyed the atmosphere, and mine just like the other stylists in the building were unique. It was my first time out at Holy Moses and Rashelle was great to work with today! The conversation was easy and didn't feel forced, Rashelle really took the time to listen to what kind of cut I was hoping to get and the results turned out great! I'm new to the area but I think after one visit here I've found where I'll be making my hair appointments from here on out!

I am a regular at this place. I feel a whole new me after every visit and get a lot of attention and compliments post haircut! So really recommend this place. They do charge you for missed appointments. So miss them if you have pretty pennies to spare. One thing I was little sad about was the eyebrow waxing that I got done there. They missed a few spots that I had to come back home and take care of myself. But that won’t stop me from revisiting them.

I've been going to Holy Moses for more than a year, I think. I'd tried to find a hair stylist prior to Holy Moses for years that would give a good cut. I found Sam within Holy Moses, and he's the real deal. The haircuts are always great, he cares about what look you're trying to achieve. He's a great conversationalist so the experience is always super fun. Nothing but great things to say. The atmosphere of Holy Moses is also super chill and relaxing.

Upon arriving, the lovely counter woman checked me in and offered an assortment of complimentary beverages, and my coat was hung up. I had an appointment with Sammi, who greeted me, consulted on the haircut I was wanting, and got to work. By far, Sammi has been one of the best barbers I've visited in Columbus. She is incredibly detail oriented, stopping at parts throughout the cut to explain her reasoning for what she was doing, and ensuring I liked the length we were at, and taking into account what I didn't currently like about what my hair was doing. Great conversation, incredibly friendly, and a wonderful stylist. She has a very keen eye for how the movement, flow and shape of the hair is for each client; both with regards to the current cut, and anticipating how it will grow out in the future. This lovely human knows her stuff. I felt very well taken care of, and will absolutely be coming back! They even offer a free 2-week clean up service which goes above and beyond the expected! Holy Moses is top notch! I just got into the area and needed to find a new barber to go to. I am very particular about my hair and am always worried when I have to change barbers. Sam did not disappoint. He was extremely friendly, an awesome guy to converse with, and made sure my hair and beard were precisely the way I liked them. Holy Moses is a little costly, but the value you get is well worth it, which even includes a complimentary 2 week touch up appointment. I am very impressed with the level of quality and will absolutely be returning. If you do stop in, even if you can't have him cut your hair, have a chat with Sam. He's a real stand up guy who prides himself on service.

Been going for a couple years now after trying so many other chop shops around town. This place is fantastic. James is my go to guy, but when he’s booked up I still get a fantastic cut from any of the other artists. $40+ tip and you get a FREE cleanup 10-14 days after the cut. They have my business so long as they exist. Booking online is incredibly easy from your computer or smart phone. I don’t recommend trying walk ins. These guys are all pros and are booked up a day or more in advance.

I have been going to Holy Moses for over a year now, and despite my regular barber (James, who's my main man), I've had my haircut by many of the barbers and I've always been satisfied. This is a place to come early to, get some coffee (complimentary!), relax, and really talk to the barber about what you're looking for. If you have a specific look, come ready with photos or a description. I often like to go in with a vague idea and let the barber be a bit creative, because after all, they see a lot of haircuts and have a keener eye for what may look good for my hair type, face shape, and so forth.

Holy Moses is a fantastic barber and styling location that I am happy to have found. Whether you need a cut, a trim, or a new style altogether, the staff are friendly and resourceful, meaning your hair is going to be great as well. If you don't know what to try? Ask! They'll help you out. Call or walk-in (calling is probably best) and then grab a seat. They'll let you know when they're ready. While ostensibly a men's grooming salon, it doesn't try to play to "macho" or "gentlemenly" barber crowd. It's hip without being too loud about it, which is an attractive choice. Prices are market rate or slightly above, but the folks on clipper command there are well worth whatever you pay out. Remember to tip!

I have been here two times now (first time with Justin, and the second time - today, with James) and have left extremely happy both times. Justin was verrrrry detail oriented, and talked with me for about 20 minutes before we started about potential routes we could go (I had a few reference photos) and he very much cared about getting a cut that would match my look in general, and the structure of my face and all of that. Didn't know a haircut could be that detail oriented, but it made me feel so at ease as I have a hard time trusting my hair into insividuals. The end result was expected from how much he seemed to care about his craft and I left more than happy. I unfortunately didn't know my schedule coming up so I didn't rebook at the time, and he fills up pretty quick - so I was not able to get back with him for today's cut. Butttttt James - incredibly nice and welcoming dude. Makes you feel like you've known him for years and his general demeanor is infectious and optimistic. I used photos I took from my last haircut as the reference, he asked questions as we went, and he did his thing with confidence. I have a tendency to look at the cut as it's going to see if I like how it's looking, but from his demeanor and how fluid his motions were, I just sat back and let him do his craft. The end result was absolutely incredible. No changes were needed, and I left as happy as could be, and rebooked instantly. Even found new ways I could style it while I was home that I've never tried before, so he produced a very versatile cut. You get what you pay for here - absolute quality. I liked every cut I seen in the room, and everyone's professionalism and clear passion for their art shows. After years of unhappy haircuts, I have found a place that I no longer have to feel anxiety going to. Definitely will be coming back as long as they are still running!
