This is a very Elegant place to get your haircut done. The receptionist offered us beverages while we are waiting in their classy and comfortable waiting area. Comfortable sofa, elegant but masculine style of the place impressed me. Barber Sam was very knowledgeable and good at his craft. Glad we got him, my fiancee liked his haircut a lot and how San styled his hair for our wedding. I was observing and all of the clients seems very happy of their services here including us. It's one of a kind having your haircut here. This place is very confident and proud how their place look because it was beautiful in every angle. Very instagramable barber shop. (Not like the other barbershop that will message you to remove your photos of their place because it wasn't presentable enough to be in the reviews.) There's parking around the area too. As in, around this barber shop. So it was very convenient to drive and park here. We will be coming back here and this would be my husband's barbershop from now on. Highly recommended.

After coming here a couple of times, I’ll say Goodman’s will not disappoint! Today is a perfect example of why. I was tired of the large chain haircuts where you pay $25 for a 10 min haircut that looks terrible. So I looked for a solid barber shop with good reviews across multiple staff. My schedule’s a bit crazy so sometimes, like tonight, I’ve got to get a last min haircut. Came in for the final slot at 8:30 with John on a Friday night. I felt bad for holding someone back on a Friday, but his approach to the cut showed that this is where he wanted to be. Got a low part pompadour done exactly how I wanted with great recommendations along the way. Between the clippers, scissor, and razor, everything was on point. I think I’m at that point where quality and attention to detail are what matters the most. John delivered that and more. As a relatively shy guy who tries to be extroverted, it’s always great to have a barber who can balance the conversation between listening and picking up the convo at the right moments. For something like this, a term like “customer service” feels like it devalues the actual service. But I’ll tell you, the service you get here is amazing. The prices are steep, a bit too high for someone on my paycheck. But it’s now the easiest bill and tip I’ll make all month. Thanks John, after tonight, Goodman’s has been solidified as my place!

In the last two years, I've been to many Barber shops/ lounges all over these United States and by far this is the best. First the long and varied list of services they do is overwhelming at first. Hair, beard, manicure, pedicure, facials, shoe shines and more are available. They stock an incredible amount of products in the lounge. The space is bright, clean, and spacious; with comfortable chairs in the lounge area. Water and hot beverages are available, while waiting, or while in the chair. Every detail is perfection; from the barbers professional dress, to the layout, to the design of the stations. I was fortunate to have Yaya as my barber on my first visit. He was friendly, professional and talented. The quality of the haircut was amazing but the overall experience was the best I have experienced over many years. Kudos to Yaya and the staff for a wonderful experience I will tell my friends about.

I've been going here for a few months now. My go to barber is Hameza. He's always willing to work with me when I'm unsure on length or style and is extremely patient. That being said, once he gets going he's incredible working his magic. I always leave looking fresh! Definitely would highly recommend this place and Hameza if he's available.

It was my first time a Goodman’s today. I had never had a fresh shave from anyone, so I spoiled myself with a razor shave, and Facial. I booked online, and ended up with Yousef. He was quiet, but extremely friendly. I am hairstylist as well, so it was nice to sit there, getting pampered without the small talk. When I tell you, it was one of the nicest experiences I have ever had, that is an understatement. Yousef started with my razor, beard clean up. I was scared, knowing he could cut my Jugular at any moment. Lol. I trusted him completely. He was gentle, and made me feel very comfortable. After the shave, I’m not going to lie, I didn’t want to get a facial in front of Chicago Av in broad daylight. I was surprised when he brought me to an extremely calming spa/type space. I was relaxed, and at ease. He is the man! The facial was rejuvenating, and so relaxing. He could be a little heavier handed though(I love a deep scrub), but it was completely relaxing. After What seemed like 7 rounds of hot towels on my face,(loved every minute), I passed out. It’s hard for me to calm down, always anxious. This beautiful place made me feel at ease. I work at a 5 star hair salon, and we pride ourselves on customer service, and professionalism. I walked out of this amazing space wondering if we should team up. Lol. I can’t rememeber the last time I have a top notch service like that. 20/10, unbelievable. I’m so glad I found this Beaut! Also Yousef, you are GREAT at what you do.

The actual establishment is the nicest I’ve seen in the city. Great selection of products and beautiful on the inside. The issue I have is with the check-in process and the lack of customer service. The individual who checked me in acted like I was burdening him for showing up. After waiting 20 minutes past my appointment with no communication, it was time to take my money elsewhere. I have been a consistent customer but for a $45 haircut and a “top-tier” experience you expect a certain level of service.

Jawabi, He is just really good. He cuts the hair perfect every time. He went for a vacation and I waited for him to come back, can tell you about his skills with hair. If you want a haircut at this place you can choose anyone, but my personal favorite is Jawabi and I have tried 3-4 barbers over here, all are good, Jawabi is exceptional.

I was in from out of town and weeks overdue for a cut. Got in for an evening opening, and I have to say, I was impressed. I have a pretty simple style, but the barber paid attention to the small details. I wish I remembered his name because his skill with the razor shave on the neck was absolutely top notch. Saved in my favorites, and will be back if I need another cut in Chicago, for sure.

For my boyfriend’s birthday, I treated him to a morning at Goodman’s. He got a fresh new hair cut, a beard trim and scalp treatment. Everyone that works here is nothing but amazing! Not only amazing skill level but amazing personalities. I got a coffee and just relaxed in their waiting area while my boyfriend was being taken good care of. Seeing how they interact with everyone that walks through the door was great. Everyone was greeted and taken care of. I could go on and on about their incredible team and services but I’ll leave you with this… book at least one appointment and guaranteed you’ll be back 🤗

In the past 5 years I grew my hair out twice. The first time I grew it out for two years and the day I went to cut it the barber had destroyed my hair and I paid $80 plus tip to essentially look like a clown. I was nervous the second time around, but I went Monday to potentially set up an appointment at Goodman’s since they had 5 stars. I wasn’t sure I was going to cut my hair after three years, but Yaya made me feel welcome. Gave me a cup of coffee, explained to me his opinion, gave me a lot of confidence and so I set up the appointment. I met up with him today at 9 and I got over the top service, more coffee, had a great hair cut and beard trim for less than $45, which is rare. I’m very happy, they made my experience peaceful. 3 hours later I still feel great about this hair cut and I’m getting great comments on it. 11/10. Above expectation. Thank you guys

First time here, I came in for a haircut and I came a little early and they took me right away which was really nice of them. On top of that the whole place is really clean really nice and it’s one of those places that you don’t expect to be a barbershop but they do exceed expectations. Personal cut my hair was super nice super helpful took his time and I really made sure that everything looked good before he let me go and I’m very impressed and very happy that I came in and now I will forever be a customer here.

When you step into Goodman's with its amazing chairs, fixtures, and overall motif, you are immediately taken to another time. Just being inside takes your mind off anything that might have had you stressed and the services haven't even started yet. Wow!! This barbershop is absolutely amazing! The cleanliness of it is 10/10 stars. Nothing but good service and happy and friendly staff! Not to mention this was the best haircut I've ever received in my life from the worker Yehya (Yaya). He took his time, made sure I was comfortable, asked me if I needed water or wanted a coffee! He went out of his way to make sure that I was enjoying my experience. And yes this haircut was an EXPERIENCE. I will always choose this barbershop and always use that barber Yaya! I was out there for the haircut with my brother. It's a calming and welcoming place. The straight razor shave for manly males is the facial. It is a pleasure to experience. There's nothing on your face like a hot towel, or shaving cream's manly scent to sap the tension right out of your body. We've come home really pleased. He cherished, as he said, his haircut. The team here is exceptional and offers great service. Even down to advising you on the best type of pomade to put in your hair. While they do take walk ins, I can imagine calling ahead is a better idea as I’m sure they’ll be a lot busier once the word gets out. Don’t be put off by the ultra high end decor and vibe. Haircuts are $40, which is pretty reasonable given what other similar shops charge.

One of the best places for men to get cleaned up and look good. I'm so glad there is finally a men salon that cares and is not just your quick in and out boys haircut. Not only this place is elegant and beautiful but they have some of the experts barbers gather in the same location. My guy Sam is probably top 1% stylists and barbers. The place is so nice I thought Sam is going to charge me $1000 for my cut :) The price is as low or on par with other places that are wayyyyy below average. I think this is the first in Chicago. I have seen Salon like this in Paris, New York and LA but I am so glad this place is in Chicago. If you want to feel great about yourself pay them a visit.

Was walking by in the neighbourhood and stumbled upon this place. Wow! Absolutely amazing! First of all the space is massive, which is not usually the style of regular barbershops. You won’t feel cramped in this space. I walked in and was immediately taken care of by the check-in staff, and was offered a choice of coffee or water. After waiting a few minutes, a very well-dressed barber by the name of Rami came to get me. As we went to his station I noticed that all the other barbers were dressed the same way. Suited & booted to the nines! Rami was excellent and very friendly. All in all, a fantastic experience, and worth the price! Will definitely go back again!

Tried this place out just recently. The inside of this lounge is gorgeous!! Theres even a complimentary Keurig espresso machine to enjoy a cappuccino while you wait. Every barber looked significantly experienced. I was extremely happy with my haircut as well as the service provided.

I’ve been to a lot of barbershops over the years but this one takes it to a whole nother level. The shop is super classy, clean, and everyone displays great professionalism. Yaya has cut my hair for almost a year now and I have no problem driving to this new shop because they always take care of me. I first came here at the end of December 2019 shortly after it opened because my barber (Yehya) moved his practice. I can't recommend Yehya enough to anyone looking for a fresh cut! I came to him on a recommendation from a friend at the beginning of 2019 after my last barber decided to hang it up; I'd been going to him for 10 years! You may be able to imagine the anxiety I had in finding someone who could cut my hair just right! Well it took all of about five minutes for all those fears to disappear. Yehya is super affable and amazing at his craft (disclosure: I have curly, difficult to manage hair). I'm very excited to make use of the services available at Goodman's. It's designed as a comprehensive men's shop and I might need to carve out an extra hour or so when I go there next (this weekend) to relax and fully enjoy the experience. Seriously, do yourself a favor and visit this place and book Yehya. You won't be disappointed!

Yaya is the best barber if you want the most precise and accurate hairstyle. Hairstyles could be very challenging to accomplish when not handled by the right barber and yaya is the right barber for whatever you want to accomplish with your hair. If you work with him long enough he’ll throw out some ideas that would best fit your hair and it’s just amazing. Thank you for always creating quality work when I come in and having good vibes!!!! Rami did an excellent job, fast and clean and held good casual conversation while doing it. The straight razor neck shave was a nice added touch. It’s not the cheapest place in town, go to Supercuts if you care about price over quality, but it’s absolutely worth the money. I’ll definitely be back

My husband's first experience here. I got him a haircut which was supposed to come with shampoo and neck shave. He got a haircut. That's it. For 50 dollars. I called after he got back and they were very applogetic (which I appreciate) but basically told me that the barber was super booked and couldn't do it. Again, fine. But they didn't acknowledge it when he was there and then charged full price. No offer to reimburse or have him come back and fix it etc.
