Great people here! I used to go to their competitor up the road but I've found that the service here is more personal and I get a better haircut as well. Also, I love the layout of the chairs, you have space to talk to your stylist without feeling like everyone is sharing your conversation, also you don't have stylists yelling back and forth across a narrow room and carrying on their own conversations. Much more upscale feel here.

Amey did an amazing job on my sons haircut! She took her time and paid attention to detail. The fade and blending was beautiful. Also, the shop itself is really clean and aesthetically pleasing. Love that there is an actual mini bar with complimentary drinks.

I’m very pleased with my recent haircut. After trying out a new place that a friend recommended I had a few mediocre cuts and one very bad one that convinced me to find a new barber. Amey took the time to understand what cut I wanted and not only fixed my hair but gave me the best haircut I’ve had in a while. I’ll definitely be back!

I love this place and their model. I just wish they’d change their checkout procedure. You can’t privately tip what you’d like. The environment can be somewhat loud at times and the person behind the desk asks you what you’d like to tip out loud. It makes for an uncomfortable experience after such a good one up to that point. Never seen this before in any setting.

Everyone I’ve encountered here is incredibly kind, helpful and professional. And Tara, is an absolute PRO! She’s more than a barber or stylist…she’s an artist! Especially, if you have a beard! These ladies are the best! I mean. I wasn't sure about the all women shop to cut my boyfriend hair but let me tell ya! We were offered drinks! Juice,soda and beer! The place set up so nice feel like you at home. The things they offer I never seen in a barbershop before. The owner is a doll! So sweet and down to earth! And knowledgeable on the hair growth process and with clippers in her hand she a bad girl! I seen the other women cutting hair too and these ladies look good and got skills! At first when I called I thought the price was high for a hair cut. But once we got there..... baby it's worth every penny and a tip! We are from out of town but when I tell you we will be back! See you ladies soon. This shop is annointed it will be around for years to come.

leaving a review here because they didn’t repost my review on their website and i feel like transparency and constructive criticism is important in business . im new to the area was searching for a black barbershop couldn’t find any that were local called them ahead of time to see if they knew how to cut black hair a fair question being that our hair texture isn’t the same and requires different care. they told me yes . I set appointment trusting their words. i got there i can say their customer service is elite. i have locs all i needed was a lining/ shape up came out horrible pushed my hair lining back then charged me 45 dollars for a shape up !!!!! at a black barbershop would have costed me 25 dollars and would have left satisfied. Honesty is the best policy she could have just been honest and said we don’t really cut black hair often i would have respected that more . this was two weeks ago im waiting for my hair to grow back in so i can start repairing my hair lining . They do not know how to care for black hair!!!!!!!

Amazing barber!! I just moved here from Oregon and was on the hunt for a new barber. Normally it takes a few tries to find the right one but this was perfect the first time. The shop is great, clean, modern and the staff are extremely welcoming. My stylist was April and she was great. Very friendly and did a great job on the cut. Took by 2 boys here there following day and I will absolutely be back.

Created from an outstanding idea in 2020 this is the best barber experience. Nothing even comes close. I’ve been twice now without disappointment. Perfect haircut for my carpet. Perfect hot lather neck shave. Perfect beard trim. Do yourself a favor and make an appointment here for your next haircut experience. Oh and an added bonus, cold beverages are available while you’re waiting your turn. Be patient, if you have to wait an extra 5-10 minutes it’s absolutely worth it.

Rachel is awesome! She has been cutting my husbands hair and most recently my almost 2 year olds hair and it is perfect everytime! She is so patient and precise with him. We are so happy we found an amazing stylist! 10/10 recommend!

This place is AWESOME! They recently hired Lexi, who is quite possibly the best men's stylist I have ever seen, and she is outstanding! The atmosphere is pleasant and relaxing. Lexi is incredible, taking the time to do a perfect cut and is super easy going. I have referred a couple of my buddies to come see her and they agree as well! Keep up the amazing work!!

A T T E N T I O N TO D E T A I L!!! I have gotten a skin fade from several barber shops in Birmingham and I can honestly say Tara at the Barber Bar was the best I've ever had - I mean it. My hair is literally perfect! Skin fades are very tricky but Tara made it a breeze yet did absolutely perfect. I will definitely be returning and HIGHLY recommend to anyone who is looking for their next barber!

They are highly professional and do an excellent job with haircuts and provide a fantastic service overall. The staff is friendly and polite, and the prices are reasonable for what you get. OMFG!!! So glad I came here! My old stylist moved to California a few years back so I’ve been “orphaned” and bouncing between salons… but this place! Finally found a home. 🥰 Mandy was fantastic!! She literally gave me the haircut I’ve been asking for for years and haven’t gotten with other stylists. I’m horrible with describing how I like my hair but she hit the nail on the head and now I feel like a goddess ✨✨✨ 10/10 recommend The Barber Bar! My husband loves them too 😊

I like the staff but they charged me $20+ for a toddler hair cut. I brought 4 of my kids for hair cuts to shave them down and clean them up and I was charged $110 plus a tip for two ppl. The 13 & 14 yr old maybe $20 a piece but the 7 year old and 3 year ... It shouldn't of been that high. One lady chopped all my kids hair off on top of that. He was so upset he has been growing his mohawk for a couple of yrs. We just wanted it manageable not gone. I said I wanted it in a low mohawk but She basically cut it all off and had it lopsided. My sons didn't want to hurt their feelings so non of us said anything but two of them were really upset when we got in the car. IDK why their cuts were $110 + I honestly feel cheated but I'm hoping the girl just made a mistake on the prices. A grown man with a fade and beard trim is $30 why would a child be $20 or $30??

Great atmosphere to get a haircut with a true barber and stylist. My haircut was one of the best I have had, even though Amey had never cut it before. She is awesome!! Add in the large screen TV and complimentary beverages makes this my new place to go.

They have plenty of services, but I always like getting a straight blade beck shave (hard to find in Birmingham), and they did very well! Great location, friendly staff, and most importantly an impressive haircut. 5/5
