Devery took me on as a guest and he far exceeded my expectations. He not only gave me a haircut but he connected with me and provided me excellent conversation and recommendations about places in the nearby area. Going to barbershops are sometimes tedious and trying to find a place that can both feel like an escape and surround yourself with people who can level with you and provide you excellent service is often times hard. This establishment provides you just that and more. From the other workers who go out of their way to say hi to every single person, to the culture and the history of the shop. I heavily recommend this place.

So I am new to Atl and am temporarily staying near the stadium. Great community and I happened to come by this shop today. I was a walk in and even though they were busy I was immediately greeted and James was able to seat me and do a cut. Love the cut, I could tell he had experience and frankly all the barbers looked like they could cut. They had maybe 10-12 guys in there cutting and it was packed but didn’t feel slow…or rushed. All in all a great experience and I will be back. It’s rare you get this lucky with an unplanned visit somewhere so just figured I’d drop a comment.

I get my haircut by a gentleman named James. Best barber in the shop. Real stand up guy too. I came with a receding hairline and bald spot, left with a perfect fade and 3 women numbers. That man is different with the clippers man. I wouldn’t go to no one else. Highly recommend. 10/10

The Off the Hook barbershop is one of the most professional and personable settings I’ve gone to in the city of Atlanta. Tariq, my go to barber, provides detailed haircuts to your liking and will give you a fresh cut everytime. I’ve never had a bad haircut from Tariq or any of the other barbers in the shop. However, any barber you choose will have you leaving looking fresh and precise. Your best bet is to come early in the morning as wait times can be long if you don’t make an appointment.

Typical black barbershop atmosphere. Nothing special that makes it stand out from the rest. Convenient location if you live close to the downtown area and always an ample amount of barbers available. Those are the upsides to this spot. Their hidden gem is Joe. He gave me the best haircut ive ever had in adulthood for my dad's funeral. And when it comes to my haircuts i am very much into perfection. Had a couple issues of unprofessionalism which is why i stopped going after two years straight. Thinking about going back but would most def recommend you try this spot out for yourself at least once.

The wait time is very minimal with 6+ professional barbers. My personal favorite is Barber Joe Edwards. I took my son here for his second haircut. I had initially taken him to one of the major chain haircut places, and we had a horrible experience. I was able to find Off the Hook Barber Shop after reading several reviews online. I am happy I found this place, and I highly recommend going here for your next haircut. The staff was very friendly, and the place has a great vibe; it’s a place that I am comfortable taking my children. Within 5 minutes of arrival, they had my son seated in the barber’s chair. Our barber, Joe Edwards, was magnificent. I came in with two pictures that I found on the internet. I wanted to combine the two cuts with some added adjustments to cover a minor imperfection. Joe listened to everything I had to say. When my son had his concerns, Joe encouraged him to speak up, and he listened intently. I don’t know how Joe did it, but he managed to combine the pictures I had, my suggestions and my son’s ideas and turned it into an excellent cut. We left extremely satisfied, and we have gotten several compliments since leaving the shop. Honestly, I could go on and on about our great experience, but I think you all should check it out for yourselves. Trust me you won’t be disappointed.

There are about 10 barbers in the shop. My barber is Joe Edwards. I call ahead to make an appointment. I get a great conservative cut, plus color. Joe is a skilled professional Master Barber. I first came in about 6 months ago for a consultation when I needed to find a new barber. He listened to my concerns and identified the best approach. I received compliments after the first cut(!) from co-workers and (more importantly) from my family. The atmosphere in the shop is friendly and respectful. It’s a place to get a great cut and revel in an oasis of traditional black positivity. If you want to, you can get and give some friendly trash talking about your favorite sports team or player. (Go Cowboys!) Park on the street or in a paid lot at the corner. Eat at Brunch Cabana next door before or after your cut.

Some of these features are a friendly environment, professional barbers with couth, and the shop stays clean and inviting. Although I’m sure all the barbers are talented, one particular barber that I would like to recommend is Tariq. Tariq’s talent is unmatched and, for my own life, unprecedented. During the week TUE-THU, he is available for prearranged appointments, and his first come first served system for FRI and SAT is innovative! Parking is never really a problem either as there is street parking consistently available and there is a paid lot right next door.
