Update: Jacob (the owner) went above and beyond to make sure that I was satisfied with my experience at his shop. He met me before his shop had opened and after almost an hour in the chair I walked away happy, extremely confident with how I look and will definitely be back. Just had my beard ruined here today. A one year grow was cut uneven and thinned out i asked to be lined up and to keep the overall length. I don't even like having this one my face. He offered for me to come back in , but you can't replace 12 months of growth. Wish I would have just kept my money and done it myself.. Cutting the rest of my beard off today. Such a disappointment. Just look at the before and after pictures they speak for themselves. Walk ins looking for beard trims beware. This as been a truly nightmare experience.

Consistently excellent barbershop. I have just done walk-ins at Fox 4-5 times with multiple barbers and each time has been great. Wonderful service and every time I go the barbers have really cared to give me a quality haircut. Male haircuts are $20 and I feel that's fair for the work they always do. I'm a bit frugal and tend to wait a few months between haircuts. If you do walk in it is kinda rolling the dice with time because a bunch of their barbers are lined up with appointments. Make an appointment if you want to set your schedule up well. I love this place, highly recommend.

Jacob is a great barber. I have been getting my beard and hair cut with Jacob for years. This morning I witnessed Jacob give back to the community. A homeless man came in asking for a trim and was unable to pay. Jacob without thinking told the gentleman to take a seat and he would be right with him after he finished my hair and beard. I know Jacob had a customer after me, but he still took time to work this gentleman into his busy schedule. What a great business. More people need to be like Jacob. His business is immaculately clean, his barbers are all professional, the prices are very reasonable. They care about the local community. I have no complaints. They are a great local business with great customer service.

Edit - I’m giving this business three stars because the first time I went there I was extremely happy with the lady who interacted with me and cut my hair. I wish she still worked there. My second visit was not good. The owners response is a reflection of that. The only time the guys interacted with me was to tell me they had appointments, which was fine. I waited for an hour which didn’t bother me at all. It felt awkward but I helped myself to a beverage (no, they didn’t offer me one) since last time I was there the lady offered me one and I declined. I stepped out once I knew I was coming up next right out front to stretch since I’d been sitting an hour (literally stood up for ten seconds), and was skipped. When I expressed concern I was met with attitude and decided I didn’t want to give these guys my money or let them touch my hair.

I tried this barber shop for the first time today and had a great experience. I was hesitant because I know some barber shops are old school and won’t take women, but I find that many barbers are better with short haircuts than other stylists. I talked to Julie on the phone and she said it wouldn’t be a problem. This place is CLEAN, and they are disinfecting everything in between cuts. Julie was my stylist, I showed her some photos of what I had in mind and she did a fantastic job. I will definitely be returning and am so happy I took a chance there!

Jacob is a true master of his craft. I moved here from Cincinnati about 2 months ago. I was recommended to go here by a friend and I do not regret it at all. I have a serious level of anxiety with any new Barber so I was apprehensive to say the least. Let's just say this , after two cuts I can literally go in there , sit down , and relax. Knowing that Jacob is going to take care of me. This is a huge deal. After 2 YEARS , my barber in Cincinnati , I would find myself wanting to make sure they were doing what I wanted. Not with this place , complete trust and peace of mind. If I could give 6 stars I would. Go to Fox Barber and be happy walking out the door.

I recently moved here and could NOT find a good barber! I got bowl cuts instead of fades. I finally found Fox Beauty, Jacob is my barber and fades awesome!!! I am so satisfied as a customer. All of the barbers at Fox I noticed do good hair cuts. And the price is low. Talk about bowtie service at a blue Jean price. Definitely try them out. You will not be disappointed.

Not sure how I missed this place for so long but so glad I finally discovered it. Jacob recently took over this place and has already made tons of improvements. Jacob is an awesome barber and really takes his time to get it right. I have tried nearly every barbershop in town and I don’t think I have been to any twice... and that includes the top five rated ones. I always had to go home and cut stragglers. Just got my 3rd cut from Jacob and haven’t had to make any at home adjustments. Besides that he is super nice and friendly. Fair price, too... not all hipster full of attitude.

You want the best fade you'll get in asheville then go here and ask for Hunter. He cut my hair yesterday. I had a friend recommend him to me and Im glad he did. He took a while to cut my hair, probably about 30 minutes but gave me the best fade I've ever seen. Call in advance cause he does take his time. Still only charged $15! I recommend you tip him well though cause he deserves it!

One of the few places left in the world where you can get an old-fashioned Barber cut and straight-razor shave, which is something only barbers, not hairdressers, are licensed to do. Wouldn’t let me review them again so I deleted and reposted! There are a LOT of people trying to cut hair. Some people are doing it for the actual love of the craft of barbering and styling. Whatever you’re looking for, I really cannot recommend Jacob more highly as I have done the trial and error for you already! Many people promise and at the end you’re feeling unheard. But when he takes the time to analyze what you’re working with… and for kids he gets the input from the parents on approval of style multiple times before proceeding. Just an all around amazing person. And you don’t get treated elsewhere to that quality for the price he provides. Once you see what he is capable of, he’s 100% worth that extra tip. You definitely will not leave unhappy!!! And my kid loves his cut like his daddy. Can’t get much better than that. :) thanks as always sir!

Want perfection? This is the place! Jacob and his staff, have took a DEEP breath and filled Fox with everything you could look for in a barbershop. It is said, "when value exceeds price, customers will spend". I can not wait until my next cut. Passion for the art have been followed 110% and I can not RAVE enough about it. Needs a close shave, need a beer while you get a fade? Need advice scalp moisturizing or hair growth.... Fox is the only place anyone should consider.
