This is my second service with Khalid. I heard good things about him and he exceeded my expectation. Today when I arrive for my appointment walk in came in and asked if he can get a hair cut and he also asked him about the price because he said maybe he don’t have enough money. Khalid said because if he don’t have appointment come back little later - the guy asked about the price and he said he will speak about it when he come back. It was very nice gesture, clearly he means he will give him a hair cut either he has enough money or not. It was the kindest thing I,ve experienced for a while. My service was gorgeous as usual. 10/10 barber shop. If you get the same haircut that literally every guy around here has...shorter on the sides, with a fade to a slightly longer top, go to Khalid Barber Shop. I use Sandy, and she does a perfect job every single time. $32 for a men's cut - which is easily one of the cheapest options around, and the quality is unmatched. I also love how it's right next to the Virginia Square metro stop. I've lived in Arlington for 5 years and this is the best barber I've been to.

Although I didn't have much to cut, Khalid's replacement while he was away on vacation did a pretty good job. Showed him a pic of the hairstyle and he knew the length on the sides and type of hairstyle on top needed. Made sure if the length was good or I wanted to cut more. $32 is an excellent price for this area so will come back again I went second time today but for longer haircut. Amine worked his magic and made that masterpiece. Now I definitely will not be going back to short hair and coming back to him 💪🏻

Khalid is the best barber in DC hands down. Great cut every time at a good price. In 2021 I had a small bout of stress-induced alopecia and grew an egg-sized bald spot on the back of my head... Khalid was able to convincingly hide the spot without altering my style too much and kept my hair looking fresh all the way until I was healed. The man has a gift.

Been coming here for years, always an excellent men’s haircut. Would definitely recommend it, especially if you live nearby or close to a metro station (it’s right by Virginia Square metro). It can get pretty busy for walk-ins, so would recommend making an appointment if you can. And remember to bring cash.

(I have patronized Khalid but not his partner) Great place! I followed Khalid from his last shop, a walk-in place, which he shared with a half-dozen others, and noted everyone seemed to wait for him. Now I can use his website and schedule, which is much preferred. He is always on time and on schedule. He does a great job, and caters to special requests and needs. He cuts my hair like I want, but makes suggestions which always seem to work out better. He tends to my brows and always make sure I leave cleaned up and well groomed. He is friendly and polite and respectful. It's a great experience. The cash-only part could be a problem, but I've always remembered to bring cash with me, so that's not been an issue nor can I complain. The location is convenient and parking has never been a problem. Check him out!

Khalid is by far the most skilled and efficient barber in the DMV. I live in downtown DC and rarely come to Arlington for anything except my haircut. I’ve tried probably two dozen barbers in the area since I was a kid…and I travel a lot so I get haircuts in different cities all the time. No one touches Khalid’s mastery. I have some unique things going on with my head and he crushes it every time. His online appointment system makes it simple to get the date and time you want so you don’t spend time waiting. In a nutshell, high quality cut and mega efficient.

Khalid is professional, high quality and incredibly prompt. I have been going to him for over a year and am always impressed. He does an amazing job with my hair (dad in my 50's) and he costs less than all of these hipster barber shops. The best part is that he is always on time for appointments. Whether I am early in the day or late, it doesn't matter. He stays on track and is always on time which means that I don't spend half a day hanging out or guessing when I am going to get out. My only hesitation in writing this review is because I want to keep him to myself :)

I'm a New Yorker who has always been picky when it comes to barbers. After I moved to NoVA a few years ago, I was lucky to find this barbershop—by far the best in the DMV area. Khalid is extremely friendly, polite, professional and listens to your haircut wants, and gets the job done—usually within 20 minutes. He just moved his shop to a spot right off Virginia-Square metro which is super convenient. I believe he is still cash-only (how I pay). He takes walk-ins but I suggest you visit his site and make an appointment—it’s a pretty simple process. I highly recommend visiting Khalid’s shop if you are looking for a great barber and haircut!

I have a HUGE issue with the 1-star post before mine, yesterday. She is giving him 1-star because of his religious faith not his ability to cut hair. We should live in a country where a man can say "I don't cut women's hair" and the discussion ends. She is picking a fight, she is a sign, or cancer of where we have gone wrong as a society. She's pushing for equity in ALL things. Are we all ok with a women's only gym, or a doctor who specializes in men's health? If so, why not a man who cuts man's hair. Seek civility. Find another battle to fight. Feed the hungry, clothe the poor. There are so many problems in our community, and you not getting a haircut from Khalil is not on the list. He is the best. I've lived in Boston, New York, and Cincinnati and a good men's barber is hard. Short but not too short etc. He is thorough but efficient. Simply the best.

Both Khalid and Sandy are fantastic barbers. I had been struggling to find a decent haircut since I moved to DC in 2016, and after several expensive and mediocre haircuts, I stumbled on Khalid and was immediately happy and have been going to see him every 3 weeks since. He knows how to do the best fade I've had in several years. You will NOT be disappointed! And please respect his time, he has a great appointment system and a lot of people to get through, so if you are late, it screws it up for every one of us who are waiting after you.

I didn't catch the name of woman who cut my hair but she was fantastic - cut it in a way that was very natural - taking care of of all the cowlicks and nuances that are usually a nuisance for me. He’s extremely skilled with the straight razor, knows how to do beards, and charges less than all the other places in the area. I’m sorry to say but I was pretty disappointed with the haircut. I appreciate that Khalid took me in last minute, but we could have scheduled for another time instead of being squeezed in. The sides of my haircut was not proportional, too much of the top was cut, it was not a consistent haircut all the way through. For whatever reason it said here and on Yelp that cards are accepted, however it is cash only. I could not get a beard trim either. The cut was clean, hair removed was efficient. But I was left disappointed

I have a serious fivehead, so haircuts used to be TRAUMATIZING. I would only get one a year, but I'm an actual adult now and that doesn't work if I want to keep my job. I found Khalid years ago when he was at Willy's, and have followed him after he split off and started his own shop. Khalid gives such great haircuts I'm all the way up to once a month now. Scheduling an appointment is a game changer too - no more waiting but there are plenty of walk in days too
