I LOVE Mountain America Credit Union!!!! My credit union has been amazing to me and my husband! I absolutely love their in a pinch financial options, I love how they work with you when you need help, I love that they’re willing to remove fees for extenuating circumstances, I love how kind the Customer service agents are, i love the $1000 instant loan with low interest & 6 equal payments, I love that they have our back when it comes to improving our credit and loans and giving us credit cards, in fact I just love everything about our credit union and because the mountain America my credit score has gone up 60 points since getting our account and paying loans and credit cards back but they’ve given us. They have helped us so much and we are very grateful!! In fact, we plan to buy our home through MACU. Thanks MACU for everything!!! You’re amazing & we will tell everyone!!

There isn’t any point in making an appointment online because you will have to wait for a while anyways. However, their workers are great. Elijah Garner helped me and he was fantastic to work with. He was easy going and straight to the point and really helped me pick out the best options for me. He even sent me a personalized email a few days later making sure everything was fine with my new cards. I would definitely recommend getting help from Elijah if you can.

Lines always seem to be super long here and the loan officers who are sitting up front with no one at their desks are not super helpful. We had our name on the list with 3 loan officers sitting at their desks not on their computers and still had to wait which was super bizarre. Prefer the SugarHouse branch but it's not open on Saturday (womp)

I opened the checking and savings account over the phone took my ID in on my break from work, I was literally out of there in 20 minutes. Elijah helped me and also told me they could refinance my car did the paperwork after I left and I signed it online. It was the best experience I have ever had banking.

Is it common practice at this location to turn away people who have been waiting at the drive-up? When I arrived, the drive-up lane had the OPEN sign lit up. 6:00 came around (closing time) while I was waiting in line, so the teller shut the window and told me they were closed. Common courtesy in business is that you finish helping the people who were already there before closing time.

great experience so far however if I can make a couple suggestions. Since your usually busy and having people wait for loan officers can you have some sort of ticket system? That way when there is going to be a 20 min wait we know who is next up and our position in the wait line. Also it would be very nice if online or in the app I could rearrange my accounts to determine which ones I see in what order. I do like the ability to rename all my accounts! That is certainly a make it or break it for me! Everyone was really nice and they even stayed late on a Saturday for me when I was opening all my new accounts. Also printing cards there while I wait is super nice!

When you choose a bank, shareholders make money off of you; when you choose a credit union you are a part owner. This branch of Mountain America has always served me well, through a home equity loan and two car loans. Bri has helped me each step of the wayshe has first desk on south side. Parking is easy, drive through has nice hours, you can have a safely deposit box and they can notarize important papers without charge. Love 'm! 💚💚💚

He was VERY efficient and when there was a question about my Trust he checked with someone who knew the answer. I have been very impressed with the clerks, they have been very kind. My husband did mention to me that it would be helpful to have a numbering system for the financial officers.

Recently Bri at the Metro Branch refinanced my car loan which will save me a lot of money over time. She was very professional and knowlegible. First visit to MACU in years, mostly because all the locations are fairly inconvenient for me. I went in to obtain some cash, and inquired about CD rates. Turns out, the rate is significantly better than what my other financial institution (a bank) offers. At the counter, I was able to convert a large portion of my savings account into a 6-month CD. Simple and quick!

(Original 2016 June) I have my 1st car loan with MACU, and I'm trying to get a 2nd one. James at the auto loan department was very knowledgeable and helpful. He looked up many options, and calculated different potential payments. He also gave me some good suggestions with managing personal credit as well as balancing the number of loans (car loans & mortgage). Keep up the good work! (Update 2020 Feb) Went in for auto loan today and ended up saving a lot of money on my mortgage as well! Caden, the auto loan agent, and the branch manager Elton were beyond helpful and also very friendly. They were very happy to share many tremendously useful loan structure advice for my investments. Cannot say enough how awesome they are.

I came in here with my husband and needed to get a debit card printed off, we were informed due to some circumstances we were unable to... I needed to access some funds that day that had been transferred but had no way of doing that with no debit card. Bronson was amazing! She did everything she could do for me, and then some! She made a special printout of the details I needed, and she just helped me feel important and comfortable during my visit there. The staff are courteous and responsive every time I've been in. One request is to bring back your tax preparer. The MACU is doing a wonderful job. If one has to wait in line a few moments, or the drive thru, I am thankful, means they have much business to do. Good news. My first ever meeting with MACU was fantastic from start to finish. I went to the downtown SLC Branch and met with Bri to open an account and begin talking about refinancing my car. Not only did we refinance my car to a 50% interest decrease, I also paid off my pay day loan and refinanced that from 76% all the way down to 12%! The web and mobile apps are fantastic (intuitive and easy to use). ATM and branches all over the place and convenient (even in Kamas, UT). Visa rewards program could be better.

MACU has treated me like a person since day one. I came to MACU after AFCU was getting stupid when I opened my Business account. No games with MACU, tellers are always friendly no matter how busy it gets inside. On a Saturday my wife wanted a gift card but her Credit Union was closed, brought her to MACU and she couldn't stop complimenting how smooth and friendly it was. Rates were better as well. Now she's thinking of leaving the UofU credit union

Since they closed that other downtown branch the lines have been ridiculously long inside and the drive-thru. Everybody there was working hard to get everybody through as quick as possible but there was a lot of people and the wait in line is hard on us old folks.
