Besides speed, I think one of the best aspects was communication. Normally getting a loan for such a huge amount can be incredibly stressful and I found the team to be great at giving me insight and details into the process. I never felt like I was in the dark the whole time and this made me feel even more secure in the decision to go with Loan Depot. I was also impressed with Jamie always trying to find us the best deal, this added to our feeling of being taken care of.

Heather listened to our needs and worked with us to help us receive a loan that met our needs with a payment that we could afford. I have worked with loan officers in the past who wanted to inflate payments and loan amounts and that just didn't happen here. We felt that we were listened to and heard. Quite a refreshing experience when dealing with a loan company.

So far so good. There was a period of time when there were 2 different servicers for my 2 loanDepot loans and that got unpleasant. But your team is very courteous and tried their best to help. Your rates are generally very competitive but lately, in this volatile market, I've had to go elsewhere. Not happy that loanDepot did a hard pull on my credit, but fortunately my score was high enough that it did not affect subsequent applications.

My initial inquiry for a loan was for a Home Equity Line of Credit. After discussions with Matt he explained the benefits of refinancing my exixsting mortgage. He offered me a VA loan, with a very attractive rate, which would give me the ability to pay down my credit card dept. lI decided that this was by far the best way for me to go. I have plenty of equity in my home, and a low monthly payment. I am very happy so far with these results. I cannot say enough good things about Matt. Well, all was great in the beginning. Then I mentioned another company refi'ing the loan for 0 cost. Since then, not good. I then get email from Manager stating I have not responded, and the lock may be lost. I did respond twice and have the emails to prove it. I stated this to the manager too and have yet to have a response.

The approach was a bit aggressive for our taste. We would have preferred time to discuss the loan after receiving the offer as opposed to feeling pressured to log in to the website while on the phone, then almost blindly and hastily signing a contract, which made us (my wife and I) feel terribly uncomfortable. In the future, I would advise allotted customers time (1-2 days) to review an offer. Most important, as an IT professional, I would suggest removing the request to establish a "remote connection" to the customer's home computer as it feels unnecessarily intrusive.

Overall good experience given the complexity of my home refinance. The Online communication was more effective in general rather than when I would try to call in. Only issue I had was communication during the closing process and how long the refinance itself dragged out (almost 2 months). Only reason I'm leaving out the last star. But other than that it was great, throughout the process I felt that the team working in my refinance truly cared and tried being as helpful as possible. At first the experience was great. Kim called frequently to try and work with my needs. Then I was told I was approved. That’s when this experience became not so good. Too many people in the handling process. I have one person telling me I need to upload paperwork I’ve already sent, I have another one calling me every other day saying numbers don’t match and he’s not sure we can even make this loan happen. Now I have someone emailing me claiming to be the closing company. So far I only see 2 people on the app that should be involved. And I have only heard from one of them one time and the other one a few times. I have no idea who these other people are. Are they actually a part of the process or are they trying to get my information and rip me off? Everyday that goes by the more I’m not liking this, I have no idea what or who is legit. Also I’ve noticed differences with the interest rate, and the loan amount on the forms I’m asked to verify on the app.

I was waiting for my refinance to be fully approved, and complete for some time. Longer than originally stated it might take. The only issue I had is the waiting time without current updates from the processor. Yoshiko. When I finally did hear from her, multiple things had changed, and changed, and changed. It got to be very confusing. I received one phone call from her, and an email about my taxes and if they were approved. I emailed her back, asking if that was something she could confirm through my current mortgage company, and it took forever to receive word back. For the longest time, I still didn't have answers to my questions regarding property taxes and if it might be something that holds up my refinance. The loan processor, Yoshiko, was terrible to deal with and if it wasn't for my loan office, Kyle Harris and the loan that I had locked in, I probably would've backed out. He was wonderful throughout the entire transaction, and the person I chose to communicate through. He was easy to get in touch with, and returned emails / phone calls in the same day. Loan Depot gave me a good deal and our loan officer was wonderful. Please keep in mind that although there may be one bad apple in the bunch, the entire barrel is not bad. I would use Loan Depot again as long as I did not have to deal with Yoshiko again.

I felt that I was setup to release my credit information. I said over, over and over. There was no need to run a 3 Bureaus credit report because it only hurts, and you get the benefit of all my credit information. I did get hurt. All 3 Bureaus reported too much used of using credit; therefore, my score was lower my 11 points. It contained a not too positive comment. Yet, the loan boss assured me that it would not hurt my credit. I feel like that I talked to a car dealer and then found out the real SCORE.
