John Layman was our Lon originator and towards the end David Stattelman helped wrap things up. These guys were fantastic! They were very prompt, helpful and on top of everything throughout the whole loan process. Being self-employed always makes obtaining loans, etc that much more difficult, but they made things easy to deal with. The only ‘thing’ that was not great was the interest rate, it was much higher than we expected, but we will refinance and get it lowered. I would highly recommend and would use again.

I love this bank. I have been a member of First National Bank of America for seven years now and have yet to be disappointed in any situation I have presented them with. I especially look forward to seeing Sue at the Grand Rapids location because of how kind and uplifting her personality is. I have had multiple situations where I needed something done immediately and first national has always gone above and beyond to make sure my banking needs have been met. I’ve banked with other organizations in the past and been disappointed time and time again, especially when compared to this bank. I will never leave FNBA, the exceptional service and professionalism I have experienced here is unmatched and second to none. I would implore anyone to open an account!

Why doesn’t everyone in Grand Rapids bank here? We move a lot and have had a variety of banks and credit unions. First National of America has absolutely been our very best experience!!! Their high interest on our checking account is the best anywhere. There are no fees or other hoops to qualify. CD rates and loans are easy and competitive. The personal service that we have received at the Grand Rapids branch makes us sad to move out of state, but even though we are moving, First National Bank of America will still be out main bank! Thanks especially to Doug Johnson for helping us with all our banking needs.

From the first time I walked into FNBA I felt like I was their most important customer. Susan always remembers me when I walk into the bank or when I call her. Speaking of calling, you never have to go through the frustration of a multitude of voicemail prompts. You immediately talk to a “live” person. You never stand in line waiting for a teller...there are no tellers. You meet with your bank representative at their desk or in their office. I think FNBA gives their customers the personal attention we don’t too often get in today’s business world.

I went to their website and was able to open an account, sign up for e-statements etc. I found it to be easy to navigate within their website. I was impressed enough with FNBA to roll over my 401-K into an IRA CD. Everything was accomplished via phone, on line and via USPS. They offer free online banking, free bill payment, and free debit/ATM card. They have partnered with Allpoint, the largest national surcharge-free ATM network with 55,000 ATMS in the US. They seem like a great bank with which to do business.
