Great place for cakes and baked goods. They have made several cakes for me and all have been great. Amazing family run small business. Pastries and cookies are great to and make wonderful gifts especially during holidays. Be sure to also try their other place not far away for coffee too.

Very organized with plenty of friendly staff eager to help you. We're originally from NY, now in MD, and we can't find really good Italian pastries near us. So we drove to Bings. Their Black & Whites were outstanding! As good or better than we had in NY. My wife loved the Rugelach (she tried the chocolate, and Cinnamon Walnut). I tried a "Lemon Drop" (?) cookie that was just ok. But I think I just thought it was going to be a lemon iced ricotta cookie. It was just just a bit too dry for my liking. We highly recommend trying Bings.

I love Bing's! All kinds of treats to pick up for a spur-of-the-moment thought, or you can order custom ahead of time. Treats are always delicious and fairly priced for the quality. Staff are friendly and efficient. My husband and I also had a wedding cake consultation there and they had an amazingly large selection of cakes and fillings, all of which were delicious, and a large set of photos for design inspiration. We ultimately chose another bakery because the design was a little more to our preferences, but we wished we could have had Bing's cake flavor choices with the other baker's design!

So I am dating a new guy and he took me here to pick out a desert for our one month anniversary! 😍 He got me a delicious strawberry shortcake That even my grandmother loved, walnut oatmeal cookies, chocolate covered pretzels, and an oatmeal raisin cookie. I just had a fantastic experience and everyone was super helpful very sweet. And I love the Nostalgic vibes of the place. Only thing that was missing were the peddle pushers! A huge thank you to Bing’s Bakery! Our business, Chic Varnish Nails, had our grand opening at the beginning of August, 2021. We had requested 2 dozen cupcakes of their most popular flavors and had requested that they put our logo on top of the cupcakes. They did phenomenal work, and the cupcakes were a HUGE HIT! Haven’t been to Bing’s in quite sometime, but will definitely be returning. The staff were extremely helpful and service was quick. The store is was quaint and well kept. Both the Carrot Cake and Chocolate Peanut Butter Cup Cake were rich in flavor and the perfect consistency. As for the cannolis, I’ll just say...Um yeah, I’ll take another!!!! My next visit will be much sooner and we will be there for any future cake orders! 👍🏻👍🏻💯💯

Opened early and always have fresh baked goods! The employees are pleasant and they are usually busy. Definitely beats Cannon's bakery who seem to never be open. (Oddly their sign on the door says 11ish for "open" time.) Just drive to Bing's Bakery on Main Street in Delaware, you WON'T be disappointed!

I have used Bing's Bakery several times for cakes, and every single time was Exceptional! Bing's cakes are Not overly sweet which is a plus. FRESH FRESH even after a week. I literally have 2 slices from my cake of last Saturday and although I should not eat anymore, I just can't throw it out. The cakes are satisfying to both the young and mature. Bing's has been around for a long time and they get better with time. Don't waste your money going someplace else...

So i needed a last minute cake for my sons birthday other place cancelled last minute I called bings they told me they had pre made sheet cakes for quick writing in the top. So I get there maybe 10 and they have no cake with the color to match my sons party so I panic then a lady come from out of no where and show me some more cakes still they don’t match then she says well what do you need and what time do you need it by I said a Spider-Man cake and by 1 she says done come back at 12 to pick it up. I get there and it’s perfect she saved the day the cake was amazing and everybody loved the cake I’ll see you guys in another week in a half I need another cake thank you some Much

We got our wedding cake at Bing's bakery and we could not have been more pleased!! They had excellent customer service and we loved our cake tasting with Norma! They were easy to reach and made it a piece of cake to mail the topper right to the bakery. Not only was the cake beautiful on the outside (looking exactly like we had envisioned) but it was DELICIOUS and a huge hit at the wedding!! We highly recommend Bing's for any event! Wonderful service on the phone and in person. Everyone had on masks and there was use of shields at the registers. But most importantly the cake looked and tasted fabulous! This bakery is everything! My aunts, cousin and I threw my grandmother a 70th Birthday party. Her favorite cake is an Italian Rum Cake. I am a home baker and never have attempted pastry cream so I searched high and low for the best bakery to make it. My experience with Bing's from placing the order to picking up the cake was phenomenal. They nailed the color I asked for and the detail exceeded my expectations. The two ladies I delt with (can't remember their names) were so nice and pleasant. My grandmother said the cake was AMAZING. I am so greatful and happy with my experience.

I’m just going to say it…. I have eaten so so many baked goods in my 34 years of life. As I was eating one of Bing Bakery’s brownies I had a realization. I will never eat a brownie in my life that is better than their brownie. It is perfection and is the epitome of what brownies should taste like. Their cupcakes, pastries, cakes, baked goods are all PHENOMENAL and very reasonably priced. If you have not tried their baked goods, you must give them a try!

Honestly, one of the best cakes I’ve ever had. I was shocked. Apparently the cake I picked out for a birthday was from an order that was never picked up. It worked out great for me. It was a pound cake with buttercream frosting. It wasn’t overly sweet and the texture was so smooth. The cake was perfect in every sense.

Best bakery in north Delaware! Cannon’s and Serpes don’t hold a candle to this place! Everyone always raves when I bring birthday cakes from here. The bakery treats are great for bringing to parties/ lunches/ business events really anything! They are amazing!! Sweet staff too, kind college kids. They sell out of stuff on holidays so be sure to get your order in a few days ahead of time. Literally love this place so much!!!

My family has been going here for Generations. I recently had a birthday for my father and my grandmother and great-aunt were in attendance. We weren't sure what to get since my dad doesn't need a whole bunch of sweets but their fudge chocolate cake cupcakes were a huge hit! Everyone ate there's and asked if I bought extra. If you don’t like this place you need help, consult Jesus. I haven’t tried everything from this place but everything l’ve tried, I enjoyed. The cakes, cupcakes, and pastries are fabulous. Special note on the brownies and their carrot cake will make you love carrots. Also shout out to the cheesecake maker, there is a special place in heaven for you. I’m not a big fan of small hard cookies so no comment on them. The fudge is decent but I’ve had better. The custom cakes are always done very well. The store is never empty which is a good sign that they often are in high demand. The in store sit down is very limited so plan to take out but there is parking near by.

Ordered a gluten free cupcake cluster for my son’s 8th birthday party 3 days in advance. I received a call at 10am stating they had an issue overnight with the oven and the cupcakes wouldn’t be ready until 11:30 am. I immediately drove over to Bing’s to discuss my option with them. My son’s surprise party was schedule to begin at 11:30 so picking the cupcakes up at that time was not an option. After little back and forth Bing’s agreed to deliver the cupcakes to my event location by 12pm. They arrived on time and the cupcakes were fantastic. Staff at the bakery was empathetic and very helpful and made a potential bad situation great.

I love bings back in January I ordered a cake for my daughter. I requested the wrong icing which turned out to be the best icing I ever had. It was their version of buttercream not like regular “store buttercream” that was the sweetest mistake I had ever made and I’m glad. Bing’s Bakery is the best and the staff is amazing. They don't run businesses like this anymore! Every time I go to Bing's, the workers are friendly and attentive! On top of that, one day I went in and they no longer had these seasonal chocolates I'd seen on my previous visit. I was disappointed, and most businesses would've just moved on with a "Sorry about that..." But the manager (I think) took it upon herself to go in the back to see if they had anymore. They didn't, but she gave me similar chocolates she'd found...FOR FREE. It was very nice of her, and very good customer service. The point of this review is not to encourage people to go in there and feel entitled to free stuff. But I just wanted to document how kind and friendly the staff is. It's just the cherry on top of their quality baked goods.

This was our first time at Bing’s and it won’t be the last. My wife and I were shopping around for a birthday cake in celebration of a milestone of 60 years. In preparation of the celebration we decided to try some cupcakes and compare them to another bakery off Union Street. To our amazement Bing Bakery hands down. I love carrot cake so I tried the carrot cupcake and strawberry shortcake cupcake,. The carrot cupcake the best cupcake I can remember and the strawberry shortcake cupcake was as good. I just went back to get more of the carrot cupcakes and they were gone. Unfortunately the other cupcakes from the bakery on Union Street look great for show but couldn’t stand up to Bing’s Bakery by far. Kudos to Alli who waited on us excellent, patient and helpful in suggesting ideas. We’ll done! See y’all soon, just became my favorite bakery. Rev. L

Our family, 3 generations, have been going here for years. Carla and staff are great. Always have a great variety of foods priced competitively. We get all our cakes here, and had fabulous wedding cupcakes. A tip, they are very busy Saturday’s between 10-2. Go most other times it’s not so busy. Get their early on Saturday and most times they have donuts!

Before I get to my review of the pastries and cakes, I’d like to leave a little note about the staff at Bing’s. Everyone there is friendly, attentive and focused. I have purchased many cakes, cookies and other baked goods at Bing’s, and I’ve always had a great experience. It’s obvious that the artisans at Bing’s have many years of experience. Everything they make could be used in a baking display. And, on top of that, everything tastes as good as it looks! We have referred many friends and family to Bing’s, and they’ve all been very pleased. Lastly, they are outstanding in complying with Covid-19 protocol.

Bing's Bakery is over 40 miles from our home in New Jersey but always worth the trip! There are many goodies to choose from and they're all wonderful. My wife and I especially love the Almond Puffs as well as the Rasin Puffs found in the same case right along side.

For my first experience at Bing's, I ordered a yellow-mocha cake for my mother's birthday. The cake was light & moist; not over powering like some mocha cakes we've tried at different establishments. Mom went back for seconds! The staff at Bing's was very helpful. I went to pick up the cake the night before my preferred date and pick up time. At no fault to the bakery the cake wasn't prepared. I was offered the yellow-mocha cake in the display case which worked out beautifully based on my schedule constraints. The staff member went above and beyond my expectations by additionally writing a personalized message on the cake. I will definitely be a returning customer!

The shop was quite busy during my visit. But, the service was plesant and quick. The wait time allowed me to view the offered products. Everything on display was beautiful! I purchased cinnamon buns. The young lady who passed me the pastries, smiled and chatted in a friendly manner. The price was reasonable, and the food delicious! The front of the facility is a bit worn. However, I would recommend it, without a doubt.

This review is based on just one order that I placed at this bakery. We ordered a black forest cake to be picked up after 4 days. Had to call in at the last moment to prepare the order one day ahead and they accommodated that request which I am grateful for. The cake was really good too. The employees were very helpful and pleasant. It is convineantly located in Newark Downtown and there is a huge shopping complex parking lot opposite to the place. We got our wedding cake through Bing's and I cannot say enough great things! Our guests raved about the cake so much. We had 105 guests but ordered enough cake for 140, but everyone kept coming back for more and we actually almost ran out! We did a 4-tier and had a different flavor for each tier. My fiance and I were a little put off by the reviews we read here, but decided to give Bing's a chance because of the positive things we heard about them through word of mouth. We were not disappointed! The first thing we want to note is that the place was hopping when we got there. Many people were picking up cakes or just stopping in to grab a snack. All of the staff were attentive and nice. Norma was our wedding consultant and she was phenomenal! I had been emailing with the shop the week prior to our appointment to set things up and they were very prompt, emailing me back in 24 hours or less (usually within an hour of my original email). Norma took all our ideas and suggestions and helped us merge them into one cake. She never said "We can't do that" even though our cake was a bit more on the complicated side. They also showed us a few of the cakes that they had done before using client ideas and I think they turned out wonderfully. Norma priced out all the different options we had available to us and helped us fit our dream cake into our budget. The samples they had us try were great as well! I am looking forward to seeing our finished cake in a few months. The only reason I gave them 4 stars instead of 5 is because I haven't seen the finished cake yet. Once I do I will be back to finish this review! After the wedding: The cake turned out amazing and we got lots of comments on how beautiful and unique it was! We couldn't be happier with how everything turned out. Bing's was very accommodating. We recommend them highly!

Super courteous staff were great. That being said the cupcakes themselves were a trainwreck. Dry and crumbly. As soon as you took the paper off you had a pile of crumbs. The children didn't enjoy them but the staff enjoyed the icing.

What does Bing's do wrong? Nothing in the 20 years we've bought there! We've had nearly every dessert they sell and it's always fabulous! I would trade a kidney for some Bings. I always order our cakes from here and every time people want to know where the cake is from. My favorite so far has to be the chocolate cake I ordered for my daughter's 4th bday that had raspberry filling5inside. After the kids went to bed, I pulled out what was left, grabbed a fork and ate a whole corner straight out of the box. My daughter snuck downstairs just before dawn the day after, planning a top-secret cake breakfast for one. She woke me up just before 7 am, mad as h-e-double-hockeysticks that I ate HER cake - and to make matters worse, the fact that I had eaten the middle of the rainbow was unforgiveable. She still talks about it, and it's been 4 months. This girl is going to hold that grudge until she turns 18. It's okay, the chocolate cake with the raspberry filling was 💯worth it.
